  • I did a ride yesterday in one. The pilot actually let me fly it for a bite. I cannot explain what it was like. The one I was in was built in 1941 and it was use by the Royal Canadian Air Force to train new pilot during the War.

  • this is awesome, ive always been curious what it would be like flying a biplane, and have a silent moment and thinka bout the pilots that went to war in these beauties.. no fear :)

  • Come to Galesburg Illinois each September for the National Stearman Fly-In and you will see 100 to 125 Stearman (I believe the largest gathering in the world). Breathtaking machines! I love them.

  • Thanks for the ride (flight), Chuck.

  • nice plane. thought biplanes were obsolete by 1940 though.

  • I was waiting for a loop-the-loop...

  • It would be slick if you could get an ride in an amphibious PBY and get some footage of landing in and taking off from water.

  • @dattomcat89 Get one to land in Lake Michigan on the shores of Chicago and I'll be there!

  • How old is this episode?

  • @andre555555 He just uses old hardware

  • @andre555555 Not as old as the airplane and a bit newer than me.

  • @RideswithChuck LOL xDD
