Before you guys rent Solyaris, you need to REALLY want to see it, that's all. And not need blowups and car chases or a 90 minute movie.

It really works for me. I'd love to see a band play to a silent showing of this film and 'score it' live (but it would be a very looong set) You've captred the essence of the film really quickly. Breathtaking!

Very nicely done. One of the better fan-vids on youtube. If you don't mind a touch of criticism, I would have selected footage from "Solaris" which featured people less prominently, simply because it would have gelled more seamlessly with Sigur Rós' own images, but really, it's a very minor thing. I still enjoyed watching this a lot, and I got some great inspiration from it for my own stuff.

This is not a "version" of an american movie. In fact, this is first film adaptation of Lem's novel. You may think it's a minor subject, but this movies can't be equalised — Tarkovsky is genius.
