  • Like your cover. It sounds much better than many records from Dylan's concerts...

  • where the fuck can i find the original version?

  • really good

  • I normally don't like Dylan covers, and you're really brave taking on this monster of a song but you did quite good mate. Cheers

  • :O wow. this is amazing! this is the first of your video's that i have seen and i love you already ;) i can't believe that u=you can sing and play the guitar for over 10 minutes, and how do you play the hermonica and the guitar at the same time?! you have an amazing voice and brilliant musical instrument-thiingy skills :) congrats for being so talented XD ;P

  • Amazing. I don't believe i've ever heard a cover of any song better than this one (except ones i've seen in person). I think you're voice is amazing and I'm incredibly impressed by how well you changed the rhythm. In fact, I think I might even like this more than the original!

  • very nice...great job

  • really good work doing the full 10 minutes

  • thanks good cover

  • Chapeau! That's just great. An unbelievable well done interpretation of one of the best songs ever. I see (or rather hear) that you feel the impressions of dylan's message.

Keep on playing that way of impulsive music and you will make many people happy, what's in any case an effort, regarding the actual music industry.

Thanks a lot, greetings from munich!

  • dude i am so jealous. i can shred with my electric pretty fast, but u can play the guitar, and sing or play the harmonica at the same time without sounding like a complete retard!!! xD. nice job

  • amazing cover man what key is ur harmonica in???

  • they did a bob dylan "tribute" on PBS [neil young, tom petty, roger mcquinn, george harrison and bruce springsteen] it sounded like 6 dylans, singing at once.

  • great version of probably one of my favorite dylan songs. it's heavy to see a young cat like myself who digs a timeless classic like dylan. "Every body is either making love or expecting rain"

  • Im impressed you know all the verses by heart ;-D Very chilled version, doesn't have the same conviction as Bob sings it, and what you weraing a harmonica for when you ain't using it?! The b+w effect has some nostalgic quality too, nice, all in all, gets 3.75 from me

    :)

  • he does use the harmonica...

  • Love It :D <3

  • a fine interpretation of a classic dylan song, your own version, not a sound alike karaoke. props.

  • cheers dude. i appreciate it..

  • What chords are you using, by the way? I've seen a few replies, but none of them are clear, and all of the tabs I've found don't sound right.

  • c, f, barred g

  • Comment removed

  • wow. not only is this my favorite dylan song, its my favorite of all time. well done. by an chance do you have this tabbed out? i would love to learn it

  • Well done blooeye; nice rendition. Top notch. Harp was okay too, at the end of the day it's your take on this Dylan classic.......... and you did a fine job.

  • cheers dude. a lot of people get real negative because i don't try to sing or play it exactly like dylan. i'm glad you appreciate that it is a rendition. thanks for watching.

  • can u tell me what chords u use? ur version is an awsome one

  • C F and G, which capo'd at the second fret like this makes it D G and A, but the original is in E A and B :) Hope that helps!!

  • i think its okay but i suggest u this chords: 4 the intro: E, Esus4 etc 4 the verse: E A B7 etc it sounds real good

  • i liked it. good job :)

  • thank you. i appreciate it.

  • slightly reminds me of mason jennings... i dont know if thats a negative thing to you, but i liked it

  • Sounded like to me a G7 or D7 that really threw it off.

  • Maybe the right chords would have helped.

  • they are the right chords with the exception of the Fsharp (relevant to capo). i just changed the key from E to D.

  • yea, this sounds like some 16 yr. old popy gumball shit. definetly shoulda left this one alone.

  • loved it fella

    viva the city of culture

  • great job man. i like it a lot!

  • cheers man. i appreciate it. :-)

  • Great, except I would've loved a harmonica solo.

  • cheers. there is one, but it kinda sucks.

  • Yes, quite frankly I am a Dylan fan. A new take on a song is different than just fucking it up. It just sounds too much like some bubble-gum "pop" take. That's why I would leave were you playing at a bar or anything of the like. It's similar.. What guns'n'roses did to Knockin on heavens door. (Just, no good) But an opinion is an opinion. Just look at your fans down there: "excellent dylan cover BRO" BRO! What uuuup dude! "That wuz a siiiick tune for realz!" Yeah. Alright

  • Have you heard some recent live versions of this song by Dylan himself ? It's almost the same you know... But that's right, I do prefer the original version. Anyway, well done Mr Blooeye, it takes a lot of courage to cover this !

  • Shitty. Drawing the strums out WAY to long. No different than those pop divas who mess up the National Anthem by distorting it all to hell with vocals all over the place. Like how NSYNC would do it, just.... shitty.

  • I knew before i even looked at you channel that you would have no videos uploaded. its so easy to critisise or be abusive when you have no videos yourself upon which to be judged.

I don't know why you even care because you clearly are not a Dylan fan, for you are far too stupid. you can't even come up with a better adjective than "shitty".

  • favorited.

  • great jam ,thanks!

  • And the hunchback of notre dame ...

  • thats the albumn version right?

  • yup

  • that was great. :)

  • Thank you. i appreciate it. :-)

  • I can sing it,but I cant play guitar.I envy you.I love this song.Good job.

  • Thank you. give it a go on a guitar. it's only three chords. :_)

  • FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!

  • Love all your Dylan Covers, just started playing about 7 mos ago, learned alot watching you.

I may be mistake but didn't you do a cover of Visions of Johanna? Didn't see it on your list if you did. If you did please post it, if not it was made for you!

  • Really well done, man. I find the Csus4 thrown in adds a lot to the song as Dylan does in the original, but I like the vibe your take on it gets across. Very cool

  • Hi:-) was wondring what chords you use from

00:17 to 00:22 in the video :-) Very cool take :-) Wanna learn that one.

  • Hi, thanx man, i'm flattered you chose one of my videos to be on your site. your comments are imo a good critique of the video and tips to improve have been taken on board.

    take care

    michael

  • Knowing the words would make all the difference, I think.

  • You're a really great singer, and that's one helluva guitar you've got.

Can you explain how you record this?

  • hi, thanx man. yeah i love my guit. all i did was just plug a webcam and an ordinary computer mic into my imac and then with a program called WebCam Monitor record me playing this song. its pretty simple.

  • awesome choice to cover, u should have someone try playing the rhythm and have the lead part in there that is kinda hard 2 play and sing at the same time..good

  • thanx. yeah i did try and put the lead over this video but it didn't sound too good. thanx for watchin

  • btw props on remembering all of the lyrics in this song, considering it is quite long

  • haha. i wish my memory was that good. I cheated and had them on the screen.

  • im tellin ya i got goose bumps wow

  • omg this kid is the best...sob i cant believe it..too bad this world only rewards rappers ..u are excellent pls do a cover of nother cup of coffee

  • thanx man, i might do a cover of that in the near future. thanx for watchin. :-)

  • Great Cover...and it needs courage to try to cover "desolation row", you had it and the result was extremely good!

Check out my covers too if you want!

    :)

  • thanx, yeah i was really nervous incase i messed up near the end, this ain't a song i would want to do a 2nd take on. thanx for watchin. :-)

  • ur a nice guy and u can take crap from other ppl who say u suck and not care and say "sorry u hated it" i like tht

  • haha. thanx man :-)

  • I think this sounds (and is) fantastic!

  • thanx man. :-)

  • you doing a good job

  • thanx man.

  • This was one of my favourite Bob Dylan songs but now you screwed it up! you're voice sucks

  • how did i screw it up? i don't have the power to go through every highway 61 revisited ablum and change the original on there. just coz i sang this song, doesnt mean that the original will change. it's impossible for me to do so. thanx for watchin, sorry u hated it :-)

  • listen man i'm a musician and i think you did the song some real justice... don't listen to assholes

who spit venom... chances are they are not musicians and probably know little about music in general...

so, once again great cover... and thanks for sharing.

  • Oh yeah, sorry, I'm used to playing it in E the way its on the album

and i got all screwed up with the chords, i didnt realize u were playing it in D A and G

Good job tho man i like the harmonica i watched it again and its starting to coe on to me

  • Sorry, I didn't like it...you gave it a poppish weird style if you left it the way bob dylan played it it would have been a lot better and dont use that chord when u change from B to A that shounds bad... sorry dude nice effort though
