@kdmayfield You need to listen to the original by Dave Dudley. I've not heard the Thorogood version, but will give it a try. However, these folks simplly don't have the voice a song of this type requires.
@dog1701 I've got the Dudley version, too, and it's great. There's just something about Thorogood - maybe I'm a sucker for slide guitar. :) Junior Brown does a nice version, too. Heck, it's hard to ruin this song.
Tom Petty's band Mudcrutch does a sweet version too ! Released in 2008,whole album rocks !

That is a cool, smooth tune alright.. "Hot Burrito" is the title.

16 in Honoka`a High School when I got
my type 7 drivers license. I passed the
tests...al of um!!! I love the way the
Flying Burrito Brothers did it in 71...

Gram Parsons - the greatest thing since sliced cheese - inventor of the cotton gin,
founder of the Sorbonne - the teats of Venus - the greatest shotput of his day -
yes, even he couldn't write this song -
only Dave Dudley could!
Sincerely,
The Legendary Danny O'Doul

The best song ever - and this is a pretty good version. George Thorogood really nails it, though.

Gram Parson was a genius but sadly fell victim to abuse of drugs and alcohol. But he lives on in the hearts of his many fans.
