  • I was inside, in the meeting. Pete Stark did an admirable job of taking the concerns of the teabag people seriously; all but one of the questions came from them and were mostly misinformed or outlandish. He answered their questions thoughtfully and addressed their concerns with quiet candor. He's a good man and an excellent legislator.

Health insurance reform with a public option is inevitable. Without it, the entire economy may grind to a complete stop.

  • How many of those Obamacare signholders rode the bus in to be in the astroturf brigade?

  • Um none? I walked over from my house.

  • Standing together in servitude.

  • Can you blame them. It's not true reform but a way for the government to welch on what they owe Americans for SS and Medicare. They owe us trillions and they don't have it and now they want to rewrite the rules. And spend another trillion to do it. Where do you think they will get it from. And you're demanding that they do it after they have already cheated you. Crazy!
