Hey, do you travel with rudders on? And, I assume you leave the boom on the deck lashed down so you can keep the blocks attached to the rear crossbar. Thanks,
I always remove the boom by un-doing the shackle on the traveler, and the pin at the gooseneck.
My beach is 20 min drive away with about 10 min of that on the highway, so I normally leave the rudders on any further and I remove them. To hold them in place I use two bungees, one one each side. The bungee goes from the trailer up and over the tiller crossbar and back down to the trailer. This makes sure the tiller crossbar does not move up and unlock the rudders allowing them to drag on the road.
dont tie the rope to the forestay, use a rope with a snap clip, much faster.
Dont tie the other end to the mast, there are two cleats on the mast at the bottom, use those. and DONT LET GO OF THE MAST UNTIL THE ROPE IS CLEATED!
and on the back of your boat, rig up a 4 to 5 foot pole with a U on top, that you can strap to the rear crossbar, and raise the mast up from the ground and rest it in the U.
The way you lifted the mast from vertical standing on the tramp WILL blow out your back.
The bible.

@MrHobiecat Seriously, if you rupture a disk in your spine raising or lowering your mast, you hobiecat days are OVER!

@MrHobiecat I am trying to find a used electric winch, thanks for speaking up, i never worried about a ruptured disc much.

@MrHobiecat Great idea with the clip on the forstay. My mast does not have cleats at the bottom.
I don't know why but to me its easy to lift the mast. I just get some velocity on it and up it goes. The helium in the mast helps.

@jmecky123 you are suppose to lift with your knees, not with your back,
but with the mast flat on the trampoline, there is no way to bend your knees to reach down and lift the mast.
Seriously, its easy, until you blow out your back, then will never be able to do it again.

How you rigged the forestay to tension the mast solo is genius.
