On hard, this last boss was incredibly, well, hard. This guy saved up alot of lives cause he didn't die once untill the last stage but this was no cake walk, as you can see. Props to the people who were able to beat this boss on hard without a game over.

you're really good at this game. in case you didn't know it: after beating the last boss on hard and watching the credits, the game restarts on the secret "very hard" difficulty level, which is extremly challenging.

if you beat the game on this difficulty a text appears at the end saying "see you again at axelay 2".

imo there should be some kind of cheat to unlock "very hard" so you don't have to beat hard before trying it every time.

Good job beating it on hard mode. I felt so proud of myself when I beat it on hard mode, but then it started over after the ending, it made my achievement look like nothing. -_- But I beat it twice.

It's scripted which weapons you have. You always get one weapon after every level, and always in the same order.

That is definitely a very excellent demonstration of your finest efforts on completing this awesome game on the hardest difficulty level. I managed to get to the last level on the same difficulty level as this and I reached Veinion's second form, but I fell way short of completing the game because I had ran out of lives and credits at that point. ;_;

it´s not the hardest difficulty.

if you complete the game on hard you start over but now on super hard

i completed the game in all 4 difficultys in a row, not died once on easy and normal and then had almost infinite lifes for hard and super hard, that´s how i completed the game easily

if you complete it on super hard, there´s a writing at the end of the credits "see you in axelay2"

Just for your information a very good weapon to use in this stage is that weapon that drops a lot of missiles (the new weapon from stage 4). It can get the job done easy but for me it takes the fun away from the game because it's too easy for me to pass the stage and I'd rather have some difficulty to have fun with.

@shamanflebus true, but if you want more breathing room Morningstar use is a must on this stage. And learn to "mess" with the shot patterns more. I'm impressed with the run though, makes me wish I still had my recordings from '93 :)
