I saw him in 2004 in Denver and it was his last concert tour, that is one my fav memories, the audience loved him! they stood clapping forever after his encore. His concerts were so long and so amazing! I never missed seeing him live--the absolute best in my eyes and heart
I cry everytime I see him a video of him, even though it has been several years since he passed. So extraordinary, there never will be another musician who could reach into my heart like Dan Fogelberg. You are sorely missed.
I think "I" was the woman that all of you refer to....I tried leaping over three rows of people to get to him here in Dallas (hubby was with and caught me and not so gently led me back to my seat) ...thank you for posting this song.
Of course I realize that! Just always wondered about the "mistress" that is mentioned-that's all. (I had seen him take off after a concert in Philly with someone other than Anastasia and he looked WAY happy!
Read that he sang this for a woman he was in love with before Jean. (WikiAnswers & Whos Dated Who) Always been a fan of the man---and always thought there was another woman who was inspiration behind alot of songs. ie..The Minstrel! Anyone seen a picture or know where ones posted?
Dan created such a beautiful sound playing this guitar, and added more beauty by singing George Harrison's "I Need You". The first time I've ever heard this. Thank you pre10der76. Dan was such a diversified musician; a treasure we keep through his music.
I'm so glad that you keep coming up with these live videos - wow - I didn't really "discover" Dan until 1979 and only saw him live twice, so videos like yours are special to me.
