We really need to know if it is possible to have a stereo backing tracks on the first two outputs AND a click on a third output sent to the drummer's headphones, otherwise it's useless as a live device. I'm gonna buy it, if it can do that, so please Cakewalk, GIVE US AN ANSWER! Thanx
I am so excited that i finally got my Yeti condenser mic working with my iPad again. ( since the 4.2 iPad update this hasn't been possible without an external power source.
just search for " Yeti & iPad together again " video . Now i'm TRULY portable again .
@JustTeching Do you guys realize you can use little d/a's like the behringer uca202 ($30) with the camera connector kit? Any app that uses the ipad's mic input just uses the line-in, instead. Oh, and this is all without drivers.
@boomtomb M3ssiah is right. Ultralite is a FANTASTIC low-medium price range D/A. Although, if you wanna go crazy, yet not spend 10,000-15,000: buy an 828, and then there's companies who put way more sophisticated, high-performing clocks in them, and are still affordable. I'll try to find out the name of one my friend used, if you're interested.
Or if pardon not habia seen(dressed) the whole video I have to realiz that it is an interface of audio, mobile tape recorder, and unit of digital mixture(mixing) in an alone place this one fantasticly
Because many laptops don't have Firewire, while all have USB. And the ones that do have Firewire, only have the mini connector which does not provide power to the connected device which defeats the whole idea of portable since you would need mains power to run the gear.

FireWire used more for video editing not music recordings

@MyHurricanePage so i've been wrecking my brain tryin to get a firewire interface?
boomtomb 1 year ago
@boomtomb No, firewire is very solid and pretty much standard if you do music with logic and other high-end stuff.

@MyHurricanePage That's so not true. MOTU makes some of the best D/A's for their price range.

usb 2.0 blows away firewire any day stupid dummy's
waynesworldcarter 2 years ago
I shall correct you right there!
USB 2 has sustained throughput (ie: constant reading and writing files to a device)
Firewire does not achieve the same sustained throughput for audio recording = higher latency, etc, etc
USB 3 is a different story! xD

why usb and not firewire

because most people have moved on.

Firewire is stil faster (more chanels) higher quality.
And on the most computers their is no fire wire device.
if usb 2.0 is better why is there no dv camera that can stream from usb 2.0 in pal (or sd ntsc If you armerican)
