Even if I wasn't too thrilled with Christianity or Judaism I wouldn't flip flop their perspective on Lucifer, the eternal representation of evil and categorically state he is 'older and more powerful than Jenovah' and not such a bad guy to paraphrase. Jesus for HPB was never a historical person, she believed the wholoe thing to be an allegory with esoteric truths, and said that he has been made from a personage called Jehoshua who lived about 120BC - she praised Jesus in her book called 'Isis Unveiled' and opposed the Dogmas of the Church.
Satan is a creation of the Church Fathers, and the word 'Lucifer' was just another thing hijacked - check the dictionary.
