Most AMV keep the anime volum down to % but the amount you did works. They are mostly edited to show many things from the Anime. Unless in the case of those shows where a guy only pops up once or twice, they only show parts with the guy.

Actually, I like it more with the slight audio in the background. Gives you more of a feel for the anime itself. Makes it more of an AMV. 'Stead'a just an... MV. Not entirely carried by the song, ya know? I dunno, I like it this way.
