Dawn of the dead=shopping centre= angry zombies

The Mist=shop=big angry creatures

Eight legged freaks=shopping centre=big angry spiders

The scriptwriters probably thought no-one has ever seen the other films.

I don't know why infected people must shout. I mean that is unrealistic. They want catch people without problems and for this they must be quiet. Only few movies with aliens and infected exist where they don't shout. And that would be better for the atmosphere. Horrormovies today need slight music like in Alien or in The Thing.

this was an awesome movie, missed the first ten-fifteen minutes, because I they broadcasted it on TV and I didn't know that until I changed channels. but really, great work, keep it, would love to see more movies by you :D

(SPOILERS) i really dug this movie. i remember seeing it only because of Bernard and it sounded ok, but was pleasantly surprised. I yearned to see more of the seeker guys (i forget their actual title), i wouldve liked to see the first guy live longer as i quite dug the character, the ending felt a bit rushed with the cliche of the king in the girl as well, but overall it was very much above the average fare. With a bit more budget it couldve easily been theatrical. well done, sir.

Very good movie for your first..... Keep whoever you had on the project for future projects. Almost all good actors picked, good camera work, etc.

You did so well that it didn't look like a low budget "B" movie. I hate "B" movies and can pick them out easy and this was like a decent mid level movie. If I wasn't told I wouldn't have known it was low budget and your first movie. It looked entirely professional.

this movie is incredible and i love Carlos Bernard acting (Tony Almeida was my favorite character in 24). And the visual effects are good for a B-movie, actually this CGI are so much better than the "big budget" Twilight Saga (worst CGI i've seen).

But let me attempt to answer the question: The people with the guns don't want to leave until they're done with their "mission". The hostages can't leave because they are hostages. The cops won't "jump out of a supermarket's glass" because a.) They would be risking the lives of the hostages and b.) Not sure if you've ever tried jumping through a glass window, but you can guarantee you'll be shredded.
