I don't understand why it's called the "New Age Movement" when it's based on teachings that pre-date Christianity. Additionally, Visualization and intention ARE the power of prayer! If we believe a crystal can heal us, then I guess we could assign healing powers to an empty shoebox too, I confess, I don't know that much about rocks. It seems like most religions have objects to worship or petition for help. The Bible does say that unclean spirits have miracle working powers, but they end in spiritual death (hell). That is how they are different but we don't have evidence until our mortal frames retire.

I don't understand why it's called the "New Age Movement" when it's based on teachings that pre-date Christianity. Additionally, Visualization and intention ARE the power of prayer! However, a prayer generally reflects our desires and in that sense probably doesn't reflect the will of the almighty. We has access to the master carpenters tools, but it is probably best that we don't use them. It is likely that we'll cut our hand...

Probably the greatest inventor of the 20th century believed all truth was found in the Bible look up Tesla. God reveals the mysteries of the heavens and earth. He does not hide them. New Age people want to eventually impose there view on humanity. It is God that gives you freewill to the end choose your path.

Wow, so basically the New Age movement and Christian are the same. Look up the lost and gnostic books of the Bible yourself. You'll also find that many of the disciples and Jesus's followers books were even burnt by Ceaser. Their teachings are about meditation and to meditate you must visualize. Almost every religion is based on meditation and the energy you can feel. Obviously there is positive or higher energy and there is negative or lower energy. How is any of this different from christianity. Both require belief without hard evidence, revolve around opinion and platitudes and power themselves on the emotional reactions of their believers. Can you prove that the belief in the healing power of god is different from the healing power of crystals?

@ptango101 You make a good point. The cornerstone of Chrstian is faith, Believing in things unseen. If there was proof, then the idea of faith could not even exist. God reveals himself in our conscious that we may even contemplate the idea of a god. There can only be one true God. All things have only one correct answer. The earth is either round or flat, you can't have it both ways. There really is a heaven / hell and it really matters what you believe. No one can out sin God's love for us.

Not all things have a correct answer. Truth is sometimes relative to your point of view. "One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter". You are trying to tell me Christianity is true and your evidence is faith. You can't have it both ways.

@ptango101 I was explaining evidence is not an element of faith. If we believe a crystal can heal us, then I guess we could assign healing powers to an empty shoebox too, I confess, I don't know that much about rocks. It seems like most religions have objects to worship or petition for help. The Bible does say that unclean spirits have miracle working powers, but they end in spiritual death (hell). That is how they are different but we don't have evidence until our mortal frames retire.

This is what I needed right now. Right now. I am constantly being offered what seems to be wisdom and advancement, but I am very aware of New Age deception. It is so hard to recognize it. If anyone WANTS to learn something that Satan is offering, they sure don't want to hear it is from Satan or that it is evil, or New Age. Thank you for this.
