@itumurwa -- I will meet you in Glory where we both shall see JESUS face to face! Praise the Lord for you! Pray for me and I will hold you up in prayer. See you there!!!!!!!!
I use to lead this when I lived in Charleston, WV with the male chorus. The song really means something to me...there is so much truth in it and I know for myself. But just to let you know Bro. Walker, I didn't do nothing like you and no one was thinking about that jacket..hehehe. Be blessed everyone because YOU are redeemed because of Jesus.
...look up and research the responsibility of the Levites in the temple(Old Testament)..That explains the role of the vocal/music ministry in worship service
i love this song. before getting to know Christ I did not know really what it meant but now I do. we did more songs like this on Sundays. nothing fancy just the plain gospel.
dont it though??? i'll never forget this lady at my grandma's church throwing minks, knocking off hats, and the sort in behind this....THEM SAINTS WOULD THROW A STILETTO in a minute back in MICHIGAN...LOL
I am 42 and it will send me on my way too. Just simple - nothing fancy - the words are powerful. How can you hear this without stretching out. There is a young lady named Rhonda who sings this at my church and it drives me crazy......
I came across this clip by accident!!! Oh My it brought back alot of memories.. i was REALLY trying to figure out what was on my mind with that jacket I was wearing(LOL)...
Pierre, glad to see you checking in, Man of God. We weren't concerned about the jacket. You THREW DOWN (as usual). I remember when you led this at the convention center in Louisville, KY. The crowd went WILD when you dropped down into that baritone/bass range.
I miss singing with the choir, running into the choir room to change quickly so that Miss LouDella didn't give me "the look" for being late. Pastor Evans had us in church from morning to night, and we loved it. ;-)
So, someone was REDEEMED. I'm sure you played and directed the song better than well. Man, you play classical, traditional gospel, and contemporary pieces. Plus you play Hammond organ, pipe organ, and standard keys, right? BEAUTIFUL gifts from God.
Hallelujah!!!
