You forgot one of my Favorite trick..if you get stuck by a semtex and the enemy is close enough run after him b4 it explodes if ur close enough you will kill him with his own semtex haha funny humiliating and best way to get bak at those semtex throwers :)
Actually very good Cod or CS snipers use low sens.. You can move your arm VERY fast its a stupid argument to say that some centemeters on your table will make a noticable speed difference for aiming if you move your arm fast... Thats liek saying 5ms ping matter.
@ThunderBlog Yh I had blast shield on but actually come to think of it, it must be a glitch to do with a bush next to me. (predator missiles cannot damage you through a thick wall and the bush might have accidentally have the same properties)

lol. once i was playing on skidrow near those crates where people boost alot (it was tdm) so i go back there and see these 2 guys boosting and just sit in the corner with my shield and they dont even notice me. then one of the guys gets a chopper gunner. so when he was on a 24 killstreak (he was 24-0) i took out my c4 and chucked it at him. he looked at me and then i detonated the c4. he got pissed

I would day use AT4 it's better for secondary and it's makes red perk go to danger close( better than hardline or lightweigt which will get u killed) I use throwing knife... got me an amzing clutch I got 1 vs4 riot shield and throwing knife and I still got to defuse on scrap yard
i disagree with having a machine pistol. i noticed when using the riot shield, bashing is very, very hard, so you need to kill them quickly. using a tactical knife, you can swap fast, knife, and swap back, without them knowing what hit them. any machine pistol takes that extra half a second to take out, which will kill you.
what i do when im facing multiple enemies: throw your knife, and swap to ur tactical knife for the rest.
also, never, ever, look up at a stun. its not that big of a deal.
the riot shield isnt heavy. it the armor you get when you select a riot shield class. cause even if you drop the shield and run around with a pistol, you will still run slow as shit
Hah, I remember that I was laying down with the riot shield on my back (you cant lay down with the riot shield equipped, it has to be switched) and the harrier kept shooting at me and my shield kept blocking it. I was so afraid to move that I laid still the entire time. The harrier just kept shooting me and my xp went from 100 to 10.
@Talzum Yeah. The Riot Shield is mostly good to get a distraction for tour team mates (And its an annoying one ;-) ) but its also very good against air support. It CAN block a Predator, Attack Helis, Harriers, Pave Lows, and even block a few Chopper Gunner rounds!
@ThunderBlog Ah yes. But dont ever use it for Hardcore. Since its mostly 1 hit kills there, an you DO take SOME damage from a hail of gunfire, you die before you can even run up to em.

you can complete bulletproof challenge easy,get a sentry gun give it to the enemy.when they set it up,find it then stand in front of it.it starts to shoot.you get points as well

Sometimes commando isnt always best for Riot Shield as the rush can leave you wide open for death i've started using Ninja with mine as i feel i have more protection

Wasnt the bulletproof 3 challenge 50 000? If its really half a million, well, boost. As bad as it seems. But I have trouble understanding this challenge. I mean I deflect ATLEAST 200 bullets per game but it only puts like barely 15. Can someone explain this to me?
@ThunderBlog the best way I think is auto turrets.. But I never saw one when I had riot shield on..
a clip is like 20 bullets so you deflect 20 but most people stop shooting on your shield becus is useless.. unless you fight total noobs you get 200+ bullets each game.

@ThunderBlog yeah theres a difference between absorbing bullets and deflecting bullets. i dont think theres anything you can do tomake sure you deflect it just happens when it happens
@ThunderBlog i can explain. only the BLACK part of the riot shield DEFLECTS bullets while the opaque or TRANSPARENT part only ABSORBS bullets. so, it makes sense that out of 200 bullets only 15 get deflected because ppl either shoot at ur feet or at the head are or just shoot at the top are of the shield to "blind" u with bullet cracks.
@yougotscoped if any one places a sentry gun stand right in front of it so it will shoot u nonstop until someone killes u then come back thumbs up for other people to hear/ read this
When you say he waves, I think he hits the shield. He probably waves, because I just remembered and thought of it in my mind but...I imagine he hits it like testing its durability or something :D
There are some things that can be added. I, myself, am very good at riot shield (until I had 2 reports and an essay friggin english teacher) For example, after being stunned, sensitivity turns to 1, no matter what you have it at. Returns to normal after. If confronted by enemy at far range, stun, run a little, stun, then go in close range, where you have the advantage. This works for enemies about 100 meters away. However, it wastes all your stuns, so this tactic shuld be used w/ scavanger. 500C
to use the riot shield best s to use tactical knife when u have hitted an enemy with the shield u can press R2 on ps3 then triangle and u are ready to hit them again alot faster then normal just easy and good to do
Some more tips that I found pritty helpful wile using it:
Don't use it when you have only got 1/2 bars, the better your connection is, the better you will do.
Play with friends. Believe me, when using the riot shield it helps a ton if there are 2 or more guys on your side using it.
Use it in objective games, for example to cap that vital B flag in domination on Sub Base/Favela/other maps with a linear flag setup, or for capping Headquarters.

best way to use the riot shields bash up close is (xbox controls) B (melee) then RB (equipment) then Y to cancel equipment (weapon swap) then B (melee) again what this does is cancel the delay in between riot shield bash and can make it very dangerous without danger close + explosives i suppose you could still use those.
From my personal experience, if you know how to use it riot shield can be the best over all weapon in mw2, try putting c4 and rpg with scavenger and danger close on. you may get accused of camping a bit but with the distraction of the shield and the explosion of the c4 they will never no what hit them, for you information i got a nuke this way lol
another trick is when u are sprinting towards a player make the player be where your shield is it ( it still blocks bullets when sprinting). found it out on 3rd person games
i noticed you didnt really add the explosive riot shield class... this class is very effective in S&D. weapons:RS and a Thumper/AT4/RPG. Equipment: C4/Claymore and stun grenades Perks: Scavenger/Danger Close/Nina or Commando (depends if the scrubs are using heartbeats lol)
trust me this class is nuts if you learn to use it
Even an better set up: Riot Shield, a hand gun with Tactical Knife, Scavenger, Lightweight or Danger Close, Commando, C4, and the special doesn't matter. For all ranges (except long range), throw C4. Wait for someone to see you, then as they near you, blow them up. For melee range, shield bash as a LAST RESORT. Instead, switch to your pistol. The swap is fast, you knife fast, and it's a one hit kill. Against knifers, do the same thing, but go prone while you swap so they knife above you.
As a secondary you better could use akimbo magnums or some other handgun, it switches very fast... and as equipment you can use c4, double tap square and it will explode without losing your cover... As a perk I use marathon in search, and scavenger in tdm. Danger close also makes a big difference. :)
Lot of good tips. I wish i had found this sooner. I had to learn most of this stuff the hard way! The one thing that i can't get is the throwing knife. It comes out slow, you've got to arc the damn thing for distance, and everytime i use it, it's like a siren goes off and everyone turns around just in time to shoot me as i pull it out of my pocket! I use Semtex first cause some jackass always gets cute and picks up my shield and i will have to throw semtex on it to get rid of him.
Wouldn't it be best to always have marathon pro on a riot class? Take Favela's famous rushing window in the middle building, where the small street is. When climbing through that without marathon pro, the enemy has a lot of time to shoot you.
That's what I use. Whether you are flanking with a riot sheild, forcing enemies out of buildings for the harriers and pave lows, or just keeping up with your own team, marathon makes up for the weight penalty. Without it, you are left behind constantly and Riot shield really needs to be on the frontlines... Light weight makes you run a bit faster, but all of your assault rifle buddies will still leave you in the dust. Marathon keeps you going when they run out of breath.

Reflecting is when you knock the bullets back at the enemy player having a chance to hit the enemy. Absorbing is when you absob the bullets so you dont take dmg but neither does the enemy
I have a pretty fun time with the Riot Shield, one time I was looking out a warehouse window looking for a guy that my radar said he was on the other sid eof the street and then my radar said other was approuching form behind me and about to come through the gate so I threw my riot shiled on my back and 180 to face the new guy and while I was shooting hm the guy I was really looking for said 'Damn't that riot shiled!' so while I was protecting my front my shiled was protect my back in the window

actually when you switch from you're riot shield to a magnum or Desert Eagle it takes not that much time at all. About the same amount of time it takes to throw your throwing knife
this is best with riot shield, g18, because its a machine gun, but pistol so you draw it out faster, and then marathon for unlimited sprint, and lightweight becaue when you have the shield out, you move SLOW! also have throwing knife and stun!
Id usually recommend using a Pistol with your shield, since its the fastest thing to swap. But sometimes, Machine pistols are better. But they do need more time to switch. Its up to you. But I'd take a pistol. Get them akimbo with your riot shield and you got urself a good class or put a tactical knife.
@ThunderBlog you can also use stun grenades to slow someone down before throwing a knife, if u arent great with throwing knives. and i agree with the pistol thing, it switches almost instantly
I'm not much of a riot shield guy and I always got pissed when the opponent killed me with a riot shield.
Now I'm going to get revenge and have fun doing it.
P.S. When you said that the player with the riot shield should enter first into a room, I have something to add. You also get points for absorbing the enemies bullets so when you go into a room you'll get a bonus and an assist. Try to add that into your video.
@EvilMan04 Yeah. Getting killed by RS is really lame. Especially in Hardcore. Thats why its important to take the enemies RS when he dies. It could save your life and some time.

I'm going to tell everyone how riot shields work regardless or not if it is covered in the video.
1: Riot shields block ALL bullets. They only RESIST explosions.
2: You move as slow as an LMG user.
3: Blast Shield protect against stickies that stick to your shield, but if its stuck to your side or back, your still screwed.
4: Use Cold blooded because Its annoying to always have to watch the air while someone gets your from the ground

If I'm honest, try using the riot shield, with one man army pro, danger close pro and commando/ sitrep pro with C4/ claymores. Pretty good.
Also, if you hide in the bunker on wasteland on the table in the corner, you can just sit there and noone notices you. Good place for DC C4.
Just thought I'd say that once youve thrown a C4, double tap X or Square and the it denonates with you leaving cover or using the clicker.

@Talzum Yeah. The Riot Shield is mostly good to get a distraction for tour team mates (And its an annoying one ;-) ) but its also very good against air support. It CAN block a Predator, Attack Helis, Harriers, Pave Lows, and even block a few Chopper Gunner rounds!

@ThunderBlog Ah yes. But dont ever use it for Hardcore. Since its mostly 1 hit kills there, an you DO take SOME damage from a hail of gunfire, you die before you can even run up to em.
On the plus side, its 1 bash 1 kill

you can complete bulletproof challenge easy,get a sentry gun give it to the enemy.when they set it up,find it then stand in front of it.it starts to shoot.you get points as well

lol when i feel rushy with riot shield i use riot shield with blast shield stuns blast shield marathon lightwieght and commando and use usp akimbo :P
when i feel like camping or something i use riot shield with c4 stuns rpg or at 4 scavenger and danger close and commando its fun (tip when u throw c4 u can double tap square to quick detonate it)

Wasnt the bulletproof 3 challenge 50 000? If its really half a million, well, boost. As bad as it seems. But I have trouble understanding this challenge. I mean I deflect ATLEAST 200 bullets per game but it only puts like barely 15. Can someone explain this to me?

@ThunderBlog the best way I think is auto turrets.. But I never saw one when I had riot shield on..
a clip is like 20 bullets so you deflect 20 but most people stop shooting on your shield becus is useless.. unless you fight total noobs you get 200+ bullets each game.
I would say turrets but then you need help from friends :S

@ThunderBlog i can explain. only the BLACK part of the riot shield DEFLECTS bullets while the opaque or TRANSPARENT part only ABSORBS bullets. so, it makes sense that out of 200 bullets only 15 get deflected because ppl either shoot at ur feet or at the head are or just shoot at the top are of the shield to "blind" u with bullet cracks.

There are some things that can be added. I, myself, am very good at riot shield (until I had 2 reports and an essay friggin english teacher) For example, after being stunned, sensitivity turns to 1, no matter what you have it at. Returns to normal after. If confronted by enemy at far range, stun, run a little, stun, then go in close range, where you have the advantage. This works for enemies about 100 meters away. However, it wastes all your stuns, so this tactic shuld be used w/ scavanger. 500C

You use either launchers or akimbo Deagles or Magnums with the riot shield. Switch to the pistols after they throw a stun and rape them quick.

Some more tips that I found pritty helpful wile using it:
Don't use it when you have only got 1/2 bars, the better your connection is, the better you will do.
Play with friends. Believe me, when using the riot shield it helps a ton if there are 2 or more guys on your side using it.
Use it in objective games, for example to cap that vital B flag in domination on Sub Base/Favela/other maps with a linear flag setup, or for capping Headquarters.
To bad i play on pc, would love to play with you ;)

best way to use the riot shields bash up close is (xbox controls) B (melee) then RB (equipment) then Y to cancel equipment (weapon swap) then B (melee) again what this does is cancel the delay in between riot shield bash and can make it very dangerous without danger close + explosives i suppose you could still use those.

From my personal experience, if you know how to use it riot shield can be the best over all weapon in mw2, try putting c4 and rpg with scavenger and danger close on. you may get accused of camping a bit but with the distraction of the shield and the explosion of the c4 they will never no what hit them, for you information i got a nuke this way lol

i noticed you didnt really add the explosive riot shield class... this class is very effective in S&D. weapons:RS and a Thumper/AT4/RPG. Equipment: C4/Claymore and stun grenades Perks: Scavenger/Danger Close/Nina or Commando (depends if the scrubs are using heartbeats lol)

Even an better set up: Riot Shield, a hand gun with Tactical Knife, Scavenger, Lightweight or Danger Close, Commando, C4, and the special doesn't matter. For all ranges (except long range), throw C4. Wait for someone to see you, then as they near you, blow them up. For melee range, shield bash as a LAST RESORT. Instead, switch to your pistol. The swap is fast, you knife fast, and it's a one hit kill. Against knifers, do the same thing, but go prone while you swap so they knife above you.

As a secondary you better could use akimbo magnums or some other handgun, it switches very fast... and as equipment you can use c4, double tap square and it will explode without losing your cover... As a perk I use marathon in search, and scavenger in tdm. Danger close also makes a big difference. :)

Lot of good tips. I wish i had found this sooner. I had to learn most of this stuff the hard way! The one thing that i can't get is the throwing knife. It comes out slow, you've got to arc the damn thing for distance, and everytime i use it, it's like a siren goes off and everyone turns around just in time to shoot me as i pull it out of my pocket! I use Semtex first cause some jackass always gets cute and picks up my shield and i will have to throw semtex on it to get rid of him.

Wouldn't it be best to always have marathon pro on a riot class? Take Favela's famous rushing window in the middle building, where the small street is. When climbing through that without marathon pro, the enemy has a lot of time to shoot you.

That's what I use. Whether you are flanking with a riot sheild, forcing enemies out of buildings for the harriers and pave lows, or just keeping up with your own team, marathon makes up for the weight penalty. Without it, you are left behind constantly and Riot shield really needs to be on the frontlines... Light weight makes you run a bit faster, but all of your assault rifle buddies will still leave you in the dust. Marathon keeps you going when they run out of breath.

Reflecting is when you knock the bullets back at the enemy player having a chance to hit the enemy. Absorbing is when you absob the bullets so you dont take dmg but neither does the enemy

I have a pretty fun time with the Riot Shield, one time I was looking out a warehouse window looking for a guy that my radar said he was on the other sid eof the street and then my radar said other was approuching form behind me and about to come through the gate so I threw my riot shiled on my back and 180 to face the new guy and while I was shooting hm the guy I was really looking for said 'Damn't that riot shiled!' so while I was protecting my front my shiled was protect my back in the window

this is best with riot shield, g18, because its a machine gun, but pistol so you draw it out faster, and then marathon for unlimited sprint, and lightweight becaue when you have the shield out, you move SLOW! also have throwing knife and stun!

Id usually recommend using a Pistol with your shield, since its the fastest thing to swap. But sometimes, Machine pistols are better. But they do need more time to switch. Its up to you. But I'd take a pistol. Get them akimbo with your riot shield and you got urself a good class or put a tactical knife.

Thanks for the tips and tricks.
I'm not much of a riot shield guy and I always got pissed when the opponent killed me with a riot shield.
Now I'm going to get revenge and have fun doing it.
P.S. When you said that the player with the riot shield should enter first into a room, I have something to add. You also get points for absorbing the enemies bullets so when you go into a room you'll get a bonus and an assist. Try to add that into your video.
P.P.S. I would add you, but I have Xbox360.
