Great to hear that you're getting a KURO. They are really nice. The movis is a normal DVD. I'm playing it with my HD-DVD player. What's really great about pioneer plasmas are its capabilities on getting rid of noises and pixels that you would ordinarily find on a LCD. Also, it's important that you have a descent DVD player. Not some really cheap DVD player. Possibly something that can up-convert DVDs to 1080i or 1080p using HDMI:) Let me know if you need any other help.
This model is now getting kinda old but it's called "PDP-507HX" in JAPAN. I have no idea if they have this same model outside of JAPAN but it's not full HD or a KURO model.
Hey, yeah it's one of those wire shelfs that you buy each parts individually. I think it's good because you can set the height of the table to your preference:)
Hey I just sent you a message but it's a 2.0. JBL 4301x2 + DENON390AE. Cheap pre-amp but it does the job. If you get descent speakers and a preamp, you don't really need a sub. (but really depends on what kind of sound ur looking 4)

Nice, I recently bought the pro-fhd1. It's the model before the Kuro. I should have gotten the Kuro because the blacks are much deeper.
