  • You know, if you use this intro again sometime, can you please quieten down the whistle sound? Because for some reason, it annoys my mother and brother.

  • Where did you get the whistle at the start from or what locomotive? Sounds amazing!

  • This wasn't scary at all it was interesting

  • It's a Lego

  • you just scared the shit out of me!

  • that was spectatcular, i've seen a few different railway series on youtube such as GTSE, OTH and TDRS and i am now a fan of British Railways Series :D

  • Cool video. How did you do the mist?

  • the creepy part was, when i paused the video, music played, when i played the video, the music stopped... O.O

  • Happy Second Anniversary of this episode!

  • that fowler engine kinda reminds me of fergus and is that a lego piece on him?

  • @trainboy7 i think it is, it's got the stud on the top

  • man it would be both cool and creepy if this thing was a real ghost...haunting the railways through london and onward, basically haunting any line that reachs london XD

  • Since that engine was real, it's like it's ghost is real! :O

  • hurrberts face is cute

  • OI KARUMBA ISSA GHOSS!!!! please dont take me i got a tow he's on his way please dont take me *oooohhhh*

  • @tavis5500 - in no respect is that correct, given that a) Thomas is British, and b) This is not Thomas nor linked to it in any way, aside from the medium which is not copyrighted, or patented, nor can it be.

  • SCAREY

  • Awesome Episode!

the Fowler engine was kind of cute!

  • the FOWLERS GHOST!!!! Line at the end scared me sooo much

  • Wow! I know this sounds strange but this reminds me of classic ghost stories I used to hear. This might even be a better story than anything in the Thomas & Friends books. Ver spooky. Great job

  • good to see an ep that isn't a downer and uptight NIce JOB!

  • Fowler's ghost claimed the 9 engines that disliked your special.

  • Is that a lego piece on Fowler's ghost?

  • H--ur---b-b-b-urt's m-m-m-y f-f-f-avorite

  • Whoa... that is one scary story!

  • God first time i watched this it scared me and it still does when i watch it at night great job.

  • Um 1 question, WHY are they all black?

  • still going strong, can't keep a good ghost down

  • Crap, I can't sleep because of the ghost engine! I've been up for 3 hours trying to get to sleep! It sounds silly, but it's true! Great episode, though!

  • @ClassicGamingGuy first time i saw this, same here

  • Is that a Lego piece as the ghost's headlamp? Will you do another BRWS contest & part of the prize is a BRWS model?

  • nice job!

  • That ghost engine was gadwall.

  • Another good part that for some reason I forgot to add:

"Herbert, isn't it about this time of year that your smoke box goes in for ash removing? Allen inquired, "You could ask them to put your brains back in at the same time..."

    "ALLEN, THAT'S ENOUGH!!!"

  • Good parts:

Sir Ralph unintentionally ruining Stephen's story with his whistle.

What Herbert and Nigel may have been thinking after Allen's fright:

    Herbert: Ha-ha!

    Nigel: Sucker!!!

  • I have another nickname for Fowler's ghost: "Fowlerstein".

  • why does the ghost engine have a lego lamp

  • great episode, great story and very scary! I remember shortly after this episode was released having some very scary dreams related to it with cool storylines all their own.

  • 8:40 Post train's wreckage? When did that happen?

  • @alliedsoldier99 That was the train Stephen ran into in "Goodbye Stephen the Green Engine".

  • When are you guys going to make any new British Railway Series Episodes on YouTube for me to watch everyday This is Andrew Davenport 67 Frederick Street Chadderton Oldham Greater Manchester.

  • TTOOBBYY

  • congrats 100K

    rock on 1.000.000

  • The Ghost Engine's lamp Iron is a LEGO! :)

    Well done!

  • Also, how did you make the ghost engines?

  • @superalexw1 - working on lots of BRWS related projects at the moment, a new episode is one of them.

  • @simierski Will there be a new character?

  • Weak production, but darker than Thomas and Friends ever dared to go.

  • @22Tesla - bit harsh, I don't have the budget of Thomas and Friends by far!

  • @simierski OH! Sorry, I didn't mean to sound offensive. I only ment it is very simple, a little too simple, but I don't mind. I'm sorry if I offended you.

But it is darker than Thomas and Friends, and that's a good thing.

  • @22Tesla - no worries, just remember my budget is limited to scrounging! XD

  • Well, don't you think it's about time a female character got introduced into the series? I came up with that idea in my mind while in school today. Originally, the plot I had in mind was that Allen would find himself in love with the engine which was an A1 pacific like him and only tell Nigel and Steven about it, but a few seconds ago, I decided that it wouldn't be appropriate for younger audiences, so instead, I've decided that the engine idolizing Allen would be better instead.

    Do you get me?

  • @Zaphodraptor - um, no.

  • @simierski Oh well.

  • Comment removed

  • wow, still steaming along nicely

  • That was just a joke.

  • @Zaphodraptor - sorry, sense of humour failure from Copley Hill!!! XD

    Very good, carry on...!

  • Actually, the plot is this:

When Alan is told to pick up a train of refrigerator cars, he is shocked to find that they're tipped over and all the fruits and veggies are missing when he arrives. The engines are on the case to find who's stealing the fruits and veggies and tipping over the cars. What he doesn't realize is that the culprit isn't a human or a gang of humans, but a hungry plant-eating dinosaur that somehow survived the K-T mass extinction...

  • @Zaphodraptor - no, can't do that - breaks canon and historical accuracy! Sorry. Thanks anyway. Simon

  • @simierski It could take place in the future.

  • Hi, I'm new. And although I like your show, I'm more of a fan of Dinosaurs and animals. Do you think you could have a dinosaur make a surprising appearance in one episode?

  • @Zaphodraptor - thats an unusual request - I'll see what I can do!

  • @simierski I know. To tell you the truth, I've watched this series until July, 2008 when I started to get interested in prehistory. And now that I'm watching again, I'd really like it if a live dinosaur could be featured somehow. You could buy some clay and make it into a model. Or you could buy a model of a dinosaur from the nearest toy shop or Natural History Museum.

    Here's a suggestion:

Magyrosaurus: a small long-necked sauropod dinosaur from Romania on a place called Hateg Island.

  • @Zaphodraptor - don't know about a live dinosaur! But a fossil surely isn't out of the question. Would be an unusual cargo...!

  • The ghost of Engine 13 has a whistle that scares me so bad that after hearing it, I'm afraid to go in the dark. That ghost is an engineer's worst nightmare.

  • What are the names of the pieces of music used?

  • I know a ghost train that's just as scary. That would be the ghost of Engine 13.

  • Who would dislike this? This is Great!!!

  • @MyMATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT Whoever disliked this got kidnapped by a ghost train.

  • Ghost Trains scare me! But I've never seen friendly one before.

  • @Dinosorable I wouldn`t say friendly, more like merciful, but I`ve done that before

  • Comment removed

  • @redcarnotaurus Yeah. But I'd love to talk to him.

  • almost the 100k mark

    go the ghost

  • This episode was so scary but awesome! I had trouble sleeping at night!

  • Is Fowler's Ghost's headlamp a Lego piece?

  • That was awesome..but also freaking scary!

  • very good. hands down, one of the best hollowee'n stories ever! but i must ask, what did you use for the fog?

  • is the desk with the photo's yours

  • @MegaPikachu5 - yes indeed! :)

  • Fowler's Ghost's theme: Dance with The Devil by Breaking Benjamin

  • lol the thomas the tank engine episode. i like it

  • WOW, this is impressive, great job,

  • gosh this is very freaky, those white engines..... I think it will haunt me forever

  • Comment removed

  • @leokimvideo - it's certainly getting there Leo :)

Taken a year but hopefully the upward trend will continue. Sorry for late reply, job seeking is taking up all my time at present. :(

  • Comment removed

  • @leokimvideo - :(

Another useful thing gone - why make it more user friendly only to reverse a year on Crazy, they need their heads bashed together, frankly.

  • What is Fowler's ghost? I mean the engine name?

  • I like this series. When is Episode 18 coming?

  • i dont belive i watched it all... confused...;D

  • Did you get the idea for the scene at 1:19 from the 1947 movie "The Ghost Train"?

  • When trainmaster844 first showed me this, I was very frightened. This was very well made.

  • @BorisFangirl - You were especially frightened at the sound of Sir Ralph's whistle at 7:24... :) Glad you liked it, though :)

  • i'm pretty sure very soon this will be your most popular video, sort of supports a good story will always be a winner

  • you can't keep a good ghost down

  • That was awesome! I love how stephen talks to him, rather than bieng the same old engine doesn't belive story, get scared by fake ghost.

  • look, this one is starting to kick again..!

  • i do feel that this series has the ability to be refind for televison, this would be fantastic in thomas the tank engine style, although that is what you achieved in 00 gauge

  • What type of locomotive was Fowler's Ghost and how did you get it?

  • I have to ask, what model was "Fowler's Ghost"? I can't seem to find one similar to it on model sites.

and how cheap is a smoke generator? By the way, this episode is SPOOOOOOKY! :D

  • steven is a very good wise true story teller like edward. but howdid the engines face disapear and how did he getout of the rubble??

  • @ikjam2 He's a ghost, he can do what he likes.

  • @97warpath i wasnt talking about that

  • this is the best episode

  • This episode is the best

  • Who's that engine behind Herbert? 1:46

  • very very very nice. that is a work of art on the screen mate. 11/10

  • @dkbmaestrorules - the whole concept is something that is covered under my intellectual copyrights, and trademarks, so no, not really.

  • @Loneknightrider - a few months time. It'll be the longest period between episodes the series has ever had, but it will be well worth the wait, I promise.

  • this is scary if u wear head phones

  • when is ep 18 coming out

  • where did you get the model for fowlers ghost and did it run on oo guage

  • where you get fowlers gost/ normal?

  • eeeeeeeeeeeeeh... i loved it

  • That eerie sound before Tavish began to talk - was that a contrabass?

  • Comment removed

  • @dkbmaestrorules - Yes - going to make a lot more episodes. I might remind you that my series is under copyright (and trademarked which I pay a lot of money for), so "The End of the GER" - a definite no no, extremely close infringement.

  • The ghost looks like spencer without his face

  • How many episode are left in the series

  • scary story

  • this is a wonderful show with good morals in it and i really do think it could make it onto the bbc. well done, sir.

  • @tdlbr17 - thank you very much, you never know - one day, maybe...

  • @simierski Haha, no pressure. it was somewhat nostalgic of my childhood...i loved thomas, and since i've seen every episode of thomas, this is a great change with what i would say are cool engines. it's great.

  • @simierski

I'd watch it if it was.

  • the last bit scared me :S still a great video though pal :)

  • I thought that the engines on the Metropolitain Railway were red your engine is dark green. no offence

  • @sonicxthomasexpert - none taken. The model in b&w is essentially colourless. The locomotive as seen at the end was meant to show the model's origins more clearly. The Metropolitan did, of course, use maroon/dark red engines.

  • this series should be on the BBC, it gives better morals, it gives better charecter development, despite simmilarities of charecters, this would make a good show, and i bet ALOT of people would watch it, and very soon, the world of thomas and chuggington will have found a competition that will have hit them like a ton of bricks

  • @trainlover658 - I only have one question - similarities of characters? Please explain. Check thebritishrailwayseries d o t com for more information on the characters.

I'd love it if someone did pick it up, but currently it's a pipe dream and nothing more...

  • @trainlover658 You speak the truth, the Thomas of today a pathetic and Chuggington is just weird.

  • @tropicalfishswim chuggington doesnt even obey the laws of physics... well neither does thomas, but chugginton's alot worse!

  • @trainlover658 well....thomas did originally, but now it's just...not the same. let's be honest. chuggington is just about the most pathetic train related kidshow that's been created. i'd watch this or thomas anyday over chugginton...plus chuggington trains just look plain weird. i don't like them at all.

  • @tropicalfishswim absolutley. Thomas used to be great and those idiots who took it over ruined it. And "chuggington" is stupid! It makes rail travel all about getting rewards when the travel is the reward. Ps none of that equipment from that show is real. at least Thomas used to use real equipment and models. now its all cg( not thats there is anything wrong with cg) oh i'm getting long and rambly better end this.

  • this is new it looks really nice

  • is this the end of the british railway series i mean is this the last episode.

  • @288jh - no - new episodes on their way in the coming ways. Patience, grasshopper... ;)

  • Wait... Fowler's Ghost is broad gauge

  • @ScottishRails - very true - but notice that I never said what gauge it was throughout the video...and if it's a ghost, gauge of the rails doesn't matter does it?

  • @simierski Indeed.

  • @simierski your right it dosen't matter to ghosts

  • Will the goast come agine?

  • Will this gost return?

  • Fowler look`s like a.. iron duke tip of engine...

  • @WHOisHE15 but Iron Duke is broad gauge :3

  • No offense Simon, but your opening ghost story voice reminded me of Eric Idle - I couldn't help but crack a smile at it ;)

    Beautiful work, as always.

  • @cudak888 - Thank you chap, having now heard Eric Idle I see what you mean!!! :)

  • @simierski - While you're at it, search YouTube for "eric idle travel agency." The first result will be the sketch you want. Listen to his voice as he rants off about his past vacations - the resemblance is remarkable.

  • wern't you chokeing with all that smock?

  • @ShaurntheSheep - you'd be surprised with this smoke, it stays quite low to the ground, which gives a great mist effect. My film set is set at a certain height which allows me to use a tripod easily, so in that respect it also spares my lungs for the most part!!!

  • I have to say that, I think your series is really brillaint, I, like most people am a thomas fan but yours is really brillaint. I live near Slade Green Railway depot, with a family history of work in the railways. I can see what it must have been like there now. I can't wait fot the next episode have to say , that Stephan, Allen and Herbert are my favs. Thanks mate.

  • @chris200179 - No, thank you sir for taking the time to watch. Episode 17X and then 18 should appear this summer (degree and dissertation permitting!)

  • let me guess.......... fowler's ghost is based upon Robert Stephenson's Der Adler, right?

  • Yes...the model is. Fowler's Ghost was a real engine...check description for link to a very informative site...

  • @simierski yes...... i saw the site...... very nice. do you like the 1809-1835 engines? its one of my favorite ages of trains.

  • history fiction or science book, now there is some reading for the kids..

  • is there any news on more episodes? I'm eager to watch more!!!!

  • @crouchisbuff - Summer 2010 for episode 17X, 18 and possibly 19...!

  • I believe this ghost may be based on reality. But, the engine I see every night had a longer cabin

  • I live only a few meters from a railway line, and now I keep seeing old engines, which no longer exist rushing by on their way to their destination which they never made it to. I've heard the tale of a ghost engine designed by a wealthy business executive. The engine was designed to pull trans over 20 times it's own weight. But, it failed miserably, and is now sitting only 2 meters from my doorstep.

  • 10:58 BOO!

  • loved it

  • AMAZING VIDEOS

  • @simpsons4567 I agree but I would say a ton more than that

  • That's really good I actually got scared ur cinematography and soundtrack is excellent

  • Great job! BTW I'm watching this at night and I have to keep looking behind my back.

  • Fowlers Ghost seems so spooky and mysterious he should have said,

    'Steeeeeveeeeennnn!' in an eery voice!

  • Would have been too obvious - the silent menace of the piece is the most disturbing.

  • i dont have sound, so...

  • this deffinently deserves to be on TV more than thomas (no offence to any thomas fans) its just i've learned more about trains and things i didnt already know

  • This was a really good episode!

I actually got scared when i saw the Ghost!

  • I got scared of the LOUD whistle at the very beginning of the episode!

  • I think that your episodes are great.

  • Hi, I just watched all your series' episodes now, and I have to say: "Excellent job with the stories and animation and all!" This episode had some parts that i actually found scary, but in a fun way! Keep it up!

  • Hey do you think that you could make another episode

  • He will make more episodes, he just needs some time to finish his comp

  • just curious becuase Im like but are any of your engines live steam I know they have ho scale live steam engines of mallard
