  • my favorite original Standells lineup! x0]

  • DICK DODD KEEP PRACTICING THOSE HIGH NOTES !

    I'M KIDDING IT'S --GREAT--

NICE ORGAN MIX FROM LARRY 'WHERE'S MY VOLUME PEDAL' TAMBLYN

  • I never saw these guys before but.....HEY I LIKE IT. Peace,Desiree

  • What a band...

    Thanks for showing us.

It brought to me a lot of great memories and showed me:

time is just an illusion as long we can listen this wonderful music..

  • This awesome! They look so young in this clip.

  • i'm still surprised when i see acts like this and how smart/clean-cut they were! When I only knew the records I always imagined them to be more freaky lol.

  • this must be before they grew their hair longer and looked a bit more rebellious

  • Who cares if the drummer is singing or not???!! The Standells were an EXCELLENT piece of American 60s rock. Never superstars, but a wonderful example of "unwashed" American R & R back in the mid 60s. Their "Dirty Water" LP is classic. Great band. Deserved bigger status.

  • @88guilly88

Liked!!! To say the least. "Rariiiiiiiiiiii!"

  • Huh?

Well the dumbass that is me thought this was The Animals. Even a dumbass can learn something new everyday. I've said this very prayer for most of my life, and so far "lord" doesn't seemed to give a heavenly crap. I'm constantly being misunderstood. ARGH!!!!

An extremely classic piece of footage.

    I rated this video - Five Stars * * * * *

    Good work man!

  • Thanks for posting this . Admittedly , a singing drummer was/ is unique , but , Dick Dodd carried it off with more than enough cool, especially if you check the post - hit footage from "Riot on Sunset Strip" and even the killer 1999 NYC footage ( I was at that show , they killed.).

  • Interesting timepiece, but if there ever was to be made a case ,that drummers shouldn't sing, this is it.

His' intentions' might be good :))but this

    looks just plain silly.

  • 2 British-made Vox guitars at 1:50

  • @robertlaberge phaaaantom

  • @1964jazzbass

    and reissues are available!

  • @robertlaberge Plus a Vox Continental organ.

  • @Grvthang

You're right. Fab sound, isn't it?

  • @robertlaberge AMEN! ; )

  • @lambertech

In 1962 Vox introduced the first pentagonal Phantom guitar, originally made in England but soon after made by EKO of Italy. It is still available as a boutique niche instrument.

  • @robertlaberge THanks for the info! Found one on e bay!

  • BTB does it again!!

    Thanks as always, guys.

  • Two years later it would all be about love beads and flower power.

  • Allright...so cool to see them live !!

  • They don't make logos like that anymore!

  • Very close to the Animals version...Thank you.

  • drummer-singer! i love it! great!

  • Wow! This is great! I never knew they covered this song. Thanks very much!
