Que lastima que se arrojen tanto desprecio estos dos grandes pensadores! Un gran ateo y un gran pacifista, por una causa tan bruta y fundamentalista de ambos lados,incluso conspirativa, si se quiere considerar asi. De todas formas, el debate es intelectualmente admirable.

@92marxist I agree. I finally found a topic which Mr. Hitchens and I disagree on. Its been about 6 years now, I wondered if he's amended his stance on the Iraq war. A lot of the items he cited as progress have been washed away by by civil & religious war. I think Hitchen's heart was in the right place, but he was wrong. I did appreciate his plea to the hostile audience to truly help the people of Iraq if they indeed do care about their plight.

I'm a big fan of both these guys. I could listen to Hitchens all day about religion and history; and Galloway is a clever and passionate opponent of the war, even if he does talk a little too loudly at times;o)

I would say that Galloway won this debate by a narrow margin. I agree with everything he said about the war, and also the comments he made about Hitchens' political u-turn.
