  • at 2:00, he does the epic psychic double shoryu, psychic because it doesnt work until a year and a half later, in the next game!

  • daigo is a bum..had to use ultra to win

  • Daigo only uses cheap ryus and kens

  • Daigo knows what each character is capable of, their speed, weakness and strengh. That is a main factor of knowing when, whether to jump in, or be patient why applying force to the opponent.

  • Don't know whether it's just me, or is Daigo really into reading his opponent's mind. He seems to anticipate their moves really well, as can be seen from the last part.

  • RYU AND KEN looks like MEGA MAN

  • @mulato1978 If the Chun-Li had more skill then why didn't she win?

  • Diago main go to move is the shoryuken ultra special and he rarely miss it or an opportunity to use it. Which I think has contributed to his success.

  • An SF4 battle between any Shoto against Chun is a no-brainer.Chun's a charge character with a ridiculously low vitality who can barely scratch anyone with her multi-hitting but low-damaging combos. Also, abusing jump in attacks will destroy her easily since she lacks a solid anti-air move. She's also not that fast and doesn't jump as long anymore as she used to.A player's skill is nullified when he selects these Shotos against lower-tier ones.BTW, the Shotos now also beat Chun in poking matches.

  • cry me a river u pussy. as long as chun has an super bar available, no body jumps in on her as ex-spinning bird kick is an excellent anti-air move. also, chun can beat shotos in poking game if done right. and actually, she does very good dmg with small number of combos. a good 3~4 strikes with chun does good chunk. learn to play her right u scrub and stop crying about tiers. PS, chun is a tier "B" so that's not even that low.

  • You're the scrub if you're saying all this crap which means you don't actually main her. You probably don't even know that Ex-SBK doesn't have full invulnerability as an anti-air. It's nowhere near the excellent description you're talking about as first of all it utilizes an Ex Bar which means that if it misses or is blocked, that's one bar wasted already and leaves her vulnerable to a lot of attacks that with her stupid vitality would instantly drain at least 40% of her life bar.

  • For the reccord, Tier B is low when Chun Li is concerned. HD Remix, SF3 3rd Strike and SF Alpha Series Chun were all above Tier B. Please define good chunk. Compare her 9-hit target combo into middle sbk chain against Sagat's 2-hit standing roundhouse and then tell me you still think she does good chunk. Perform her Housenka and have it blocked in training mode and see the ridiculous almost no-chip damage effect.

  • once she hits, it's not hard to do multiple hitting combos with chun li. U can't compare her with sagat whose design isn't made for 6~12 combos. -_-;; i know that in the past games chun was one of top tier characters, but why the fuck does that matter NOW? Also, nobody fuckin uses their ultra in hopes to chip-dmg them to death. In chun's case her ultra is more or less a punishing move where she can use her defensive zoning to bait them into getting hit with the ultra.

  • and the only reason daigo was able to jump-in so frequently in this match is because he realized nemo doesn't back/crouch charge a lot which takes away her special move versatility. Also nemo was too aggressive and didn't find a way to charge back/crouch to use ex-spinning birdkicks to counter daigo's aggressive jump-ins. Nuki's chun-li is a lot better than nemo's.

  • The fact that Ryu (and others, including Sagat) has a combo into ultra with a move that has very high priority has very much to do with the tier lists :P Characters like Honda barely ever find a chance to use their ultras :(

  • This is probably true. Still, to have the reflexes to instantly know when your psychic shoryuken actually works is, in my opinion, an indication of skill.

Sagat is, honestly, a lot easier to chain into Ultra. And the fact that it does a massive chunk of damage would very likely bump him up a few tiers...

  • Yeah, I hate Sagat with a burning passion :(

But like I said, some characters can combo into their ultras (Rufus, Seth, Balrog, Abel, Ryu, Sagat, Ken etc etc) and others cannot.

That is, in my opinion a massive difference between characters. It is a huge advantage to have, knowing that despite having very little health if you can land one unblocked his you can take over half of your opponent health off with an ultra.

Other characters don't have that advantage :(

  • @retnuHDJ True. I main E. Honda and it is really not known how to connect and Ultra but I have done it before with a deep jumping-in fierce or roundhouse....yet being quick is vital in order for it to connect. It s somewhat easier at the corner of the screen to connect it. I play on PS3.

  • @chucky78596 I too main Honda, so I feel your pain. It sucks having a useless ulotra :(

  • In the first round Daigo only threw 4 fireballs, and Nemo thre 3. Digo still raped him. daigo doesnt need fireballs to win

  • He doesn't? Hahaha! Tell me he doesn't really need the fireball spamming seeing as how a Shoto's fireball is so easy to execute and doesn't peter out and in Ryu's case can be followed up with a super fireball or another ex-fireball so I guess you're right in saying Mr. Fireball Spammer doesn't need his fireballs to win. Nemo was only using Chun's fireballs to negate Ryu's and not actually spamming them as a means to zone and to attack since Chun's fireball needs charging and peters out.

  • fireballs are there to be used, there are ways to avoidthem and to counterthem...its not rocket science the other guy has to know better

  • You should have said overused but anyway. It doesn't matter, after seeing more than 10 vids of this guy's play style, I'm not surprised with this one at all. "I'll spam you with my fireballs freak and when you jump, I'll hit you in your sorry ass with my Dragon Punch and then spam again with Ex-Fireball followed by Super Fireball or Dragon Punch followed by easy-spam Ultra Fireball. Yep, that about covers the demonstration of this game called Shotos Spam Fireballs! lol

  • =( i feel you on that dude.

i main el fuerte, so the fireball zoning isn't much of a problem. its just a shame that i have to hurdle through/over fireballz like a fucking obstacle course. i'd join the fucking military if i wanted to do that shit.

  • im best dhalsim player in England :)/

  • Nice fight, im subscribing to this channel now, great fights on every video.

  • Daigo "The BEAST" !!

  • Hmmm...another girl who wants Daigos Cock up her ass....

  • umad?

  • No, Typical Groupie....I bet you want Justin Wong next huh?

  • justin is too fat for me.

  • You dont wanna roll around in his fat rolls before he mounts you??

  • daigo is B.A.

  • why is it that everytime after a match daigo shows no emotions what so ever.. the only thing he does is moves his eyes rapidly lol. almost like hes confused.

  • cause Japanese people tend to be quite reserved, at least some. It's a cultural thing. Or maybe it's just him. Perhaps he doesnt like to gloat or he's just humble and knows he's one of the top winners. Or too busy THINKING about why he lost instead of crying/laughing it off, I dunno. Ask him yourself =P. He's going to 2009 EVO in Vegas.

  • im gonna b there :P competing in SFIII and SFIV and maybe Blazblue if they'll have it. cant wait to see how i fair against the best players in the world.

  • i'm the opposite.

i nerd rage when i lose. its pathetic. i've broken about 4 ddr machines, countless joysticks/controls, and who-knows how much profanity i've shouted at other players.

when i do win, i tend to say something within the grounds of "get that scrub shit outta here" or "suck it." even though i suck. =(

  • @somanysomanycookies and that's why you're probably bad, because you can't just focus on the game

  • he is a robot from the future programed to play street fighter

  • He is samurai, emotion is cause for seppuku.

  • Too many white japanese wannabes here

    /spew

  • Ya, a buncha fucking weaboos.

    "Curse my round eyes!!!!"

    Anywho, killer chun.

  • lol

  • When youre the best you dont scream and shout when you win because it did not come as a surprise. Just ask the former Soviet Hockey Team. They pulverized Mofos's but were hardly conscious after the match.

  • Kumite? Go fuck Daigo then Oscar Minora. Go for it.

He might let you if you ask nicely.

  • why didn't he ultra at 1:33 with his full ultra bar and srk-fadc setup?

(not whining, just wondering if there's a genuine reason it wouldn't have worked there)

  • Guess he missed it, it's not the easiest thing to do (though from what I've seen from him he can do it really easily)

  • yeah i guess even daigo fucks up sometimes.

still, it would have evened out the round at that point

  • good question

  • i thikn he just stuttered mentally and with his fingers.. it happens lol.

  • I don't think he expected his Shoryuken to hit, to be honest.

  • Her over-special move is kind of handy on this.

  • lol, at :45 he shot her in the crotch with his ultra.

  • and at 2:29 for the finish lol :-P

  • LMAO right in the vagoo!

  • at the end, ryu just launches her into the air without a dragon punch, what was that?

  • he dragons... he just cancels it with a focus attack before he leaves the ground, then he cancels that with a dash and ultras her helpless floating body. heh

  • he dragons

  • That Chun needs to be more careful about his fireballs...

Was this the best Chun player at the time? Because I have seen better, to be completely honest.

  • no you havent

  • wow

  • YEAH! Daigo FTW!
