@vortigaunt365 The title 1990 quatrillions de tonnes is roughly 198 910 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 kg, which is the mass of the sun. The screamings in the song I think refer to somekind of ending of the world. Maybe pollution obliterating the o-zone layer and thus letting the suns rays affect more and drastically heat up the atmosphere burning everyone?
Again, people believe that 1990 quatrillions tons weighs a lot and is really really heavy. But there is something out there that ways a lot more than that. It is Gojira, The Heaviest Matter in the Universe.
When i listen to 1588 I think of Earth Before Humans(ie: Nature type sound). When i listen to 1990 i think of Earth with humans and all of the pain we cause (ie: The screaming). This is just what it means to me when i listen to these two songs.
Respond to this video... OMG I UNDERSTAND IT NOW! 5988 Trillions of Tonnes is the mass of the earth, and with us on it it equals to the amount of the title of this song, and this is what we have caused ie: the sreaming.
to me this song feels more like an expression of mental or emotional pain.
i've been having a pretty rough time lately, and for me, this song is a representation of all my fears, regrets and insecurities. Every problem i'm facing has a voice in this song.
What really touches me is how genuinely raw and painful some of these screams sound.
I see everyone trying to take on the burden of the world and being horribly destroyed by it. Do we not kill a lot of ourselves in order to cope with adult life? Excitement, energy, creativity, inspiration and dreams. They cannot survive under 1990 Quatrillions de Tonnes.
It's a meditation on the First Noble Truth ;)
