i went to gorman this past weekend and one of our riders got into a head on with a quad.

the bike suffered a broken radiator and the quad suffered a bent tie rod and a broken fox shock. gorman needs to be all one way trails.

This is why I don't ride Gorman. It is way too small and too many beginners on quads, who have no idea what they are doing. Just stick to the single track up Frazier or the snowy trail. Quads = anyone can ride them.

thats an awesome video, looks like a well used track, so caution on the lip or even some rules would probably help reduce injuries. Have had crashed before, normally everyone is fairly polite, as we are all there to do the same thing (have fun). I have always been more likely to hit someone inexpericned who stops in the iddle of a trail, veers suddenly or on a blind corner.

Handling a 100kg bike on 2 wheels or a 200kg quad on 4 in corners etc? I've heard a lot of dirtbikers say those guys on quads are insane when they do those big ass jumps. Btw, I NEVER hitted any other person before with my quad in my life and I ride since I was 6, in fact a dirtbike hitted me when I was standing still.

actually its the same....50kg on each wheel and on the quad you dont have to balance it. And where were you during the hit? In the middle of the trail ? Or were you off in a trail head? And i will admit dirtbikers do hit each other. At the last GNCC race i was shooting dirt out of my nostrils and refueling and i saw a huge, fat, whopper king guy on a Kawasaki Kx400 (2-stroke) just STOP at the bottom of the hill and 2 guys at the same time hit both sides of him! wasnt that fast tho
