hey nice job man....hey i just got one off the mini mill from harbor freight im was wondering were u get all the equipment to make it in at cnc mill....and how much do i need to spend for this rest off the stuff...thank u.....
I have done the same conversion and have used Sherline PN 3400 2.5" hand wheels on each stepper motor. (I put thin rubber washers between the handle and body of the hand wheel to keep them from rattling.)
How tall is it in that video? I'm thinking about buying the Sieg Super X1.. Read a little about on the forums.. They say to buy the biggest that you can afford. I don't think that i'm going to be milling titanium and high carbon steel, though, so I thought that I might get away with a SX1
Usually for me the binding ball screw may come from a up or down or side ways tilting for the screw. When fix at table nut and the fusion kit center axle flush plate, the tilting angle may cause resistance lie two offset bolt nut fixed from one end to lengthwise to the other end. You may adjust the kit plate on the screw up down and sidewys with semi loose bolts. Take note systematically of diff. position and keep the adust. and carefully tighten not to knock off. If not, then coupler-stepr prob
Two things, check the thrust washers in the motor and make sure the shaft in the motor is not motor moving lengthwise in the armature. Make sure the shaft in the motor is secure to the armature. Check to see how the ballscrew is attached to the motor shaft. you can tighen the ballscrew bearings on these, its two brass rings underneath and a bolt that pulls them together. As for the Y azis, make sure you clean off the oil they put on the ways, its kind of thick, lol. Did you get is working?
I have the same kit. Something dosn't seem right. You shouldn't have that much play at all and those washers definatly should not be there. Have you contacted CNC fusion?
it sounds like your sending a telagram
