Listen to Moby Grape. It was Led Zeppelins favorite band. Jerry miller played some of the best Guitar. Rolling Stone had Jerry rated 68th Best all Time.
Harleybrewer99: 2 possibilities. Santana's Caravanserai, but it was actually the sun, or Hendrix's Band of Gypsies at the Fillmore New Year's Eve 1969, only it was a big red light show. Both absolutely incredible albums.
can anyone please tell me what psychedelic band, they were really unknown had a cover with like a red moon on it i heard them on youtube the other month and i cant remember what they were called any help is much appreciated
Thanks for posting this magical song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's so hard for kids my age to find and hear music like this. Wish more people 20 years old knew who country joe was :(
hey man i was born 16 years after all the far out sweet psychadelic music was born im 28 bro iv'e been listening to all types of rock music since i was 5-6 years old what was your favorite record as a kid that you liked? my favorite in my early childhood was the 1st kiss album on vinyl
@amicuslibertatis oh yeah pet sounds is a very influential album but i wasn't big on the beach boys and surfer girls and the california sun i was more into the experimental drugged out psychadelic stuff like the san francisco bands of the sixties and the velvet underground from new york city the only band at that time from los angeles that i really liked from the 60's era was the doors expressin' authority and questioning society for how people were gonna live in individual freedom
@jacobladders well im just nineteen and had to find that psychadelic stuff on my own. my parents listened to the beach boys, so it became my favourite music back then. nowadays i listen more to psychadelic because its much more behind in a way. :D
@amicuslibertatis hey i feel ya on that thought im 29 i found country joe and the fish on my own as well as blue cheer and quicksilver messenger service and pink floyd's piper at the gates of dawn well psychadelic is the type of music some people seem to forget in some ways like floyd cause nobody in my family or that i knew of personally listened to the floyd/barrett material which i prefer to like alot better and i love the 13th floor elevators
GOOD!! Well i'm "just" 20 too but i found psychedelic/progressive rock a few years ago. Anyways you must know Pink Flod? Seriously if you don't or you just don't really listen them, listen more! Cos when you find the thing of the band you'll think it's one of the best bands in the world. David Gilmore is just simply the man, the soulman
@Zizeza Have you heard syd barrett era floyd? Thats some psychedelic shit. Its my favorite floyd stuff. Syd Barrett Was a mad genious. His solo stuff is great too.
is it ok if u can post its so nice to have love its on this album cause its sound so psychedelic and ive only heard 30 seconds of it lol so if u can i will be very grateful
i'd take CJATF over floyd any day - for pysch rock. And i love floyd - but mostly meddle, obscured by clouds and animals.

Thanks for posting this one -- haven't heard it since the early '70's, but it still sounds great. With today's meth problems, message still holds.
