Listen to Moby Grape. It was Led Zeppelins favorite band. Jerry miller played some of the best Guitar. Rolling Stone had Jerry rated 68th Best all Time.

Harleybrewer99: 2 possibilities. Santana's Caravanserai, but it was actually the sun, or Hendrix's Band of Gypsies at the Fillmore New Year's Eve 1969, only it was a big red light show. Both absolutely incredible albums.

@amicuslibertatis oh yeah pet sounds is a very influential album but i wasn't big on the beach boys and surfer girls and the california sun i was more into the experimental drugged out psychadelic stuff like the san francisco bands of the sixties and the velvet underground from new york city the only band at that time from los angeles that i really liked from the 60's era was the doors expressin' authority and questioning society for how people were gonna live in individual freedom

@jacobladders well im just nineteen and had to find that psychadelic stuff on my own. my parents listened to the beach boys, so it became my favourite music back then. nowadays i listen more to psychadelic because its much more behind in a way. :D

@amicuslibertatis hey i feel ya on that thought im 29 i found country joe and the fish on my own as well as blue cheer and quicksilver messenger service and pink floyd's piper at the gates of dawn well psychadelic is the type of music some people seem to forget in some ways like floyd cause nobody in my family or that i knew of personally listened to the floyd/barrett material which i prefer to like alot better and i love the 13th floor elevators
