  • i am a pc guy but did you just call there case ugly ? they are useless but i do like there stile

  • I wish I could have a dresser in my iMac.

    JOKING.

  • @deecheezy PS2 gives you features like N-key rollover in mechanical keyboards which is useful for gaming sometimes.

  • Your monotone voice is awesome.

  • Mac looks much better inside,looks clean,all in it's possition,not like most pc.,full of cables around,looks a like a mess shit.

    (Im PC/MAC USER )

  • the mac computers look gay, like ligit gay.

  • Why is this thumbed down more than thumbed up? What was wrong with this video? I like the case with the swappable drives. I am planning on getting a Corsair Obsidian Series 800D case which has 4 swappable hard drives :)

  • @TearsOfWar1

Hot swappable drives are a must have for me. Other folks really like the storage drawer. The storage drawer was cool but now that I use a Micro ATX mobo and Mini Tower case I have opted to get rid of the storage drawer and keep the swappable drive bays but to each his own.

  • @adobePC the drawer is a nice touch. i tend to lose USB drives a lot.

  • @TearsOfWar1 , because of all the mac fanboys that do not like to hear the truth.

  • wow i see fruit loops on the back LOL

  • I think the mac pro is nice looking, and im a pc user

  • I stated the one computer is an old Pentium 3. One of them is a Quad Core and has a stylish case in my opinion. To me the Mac Pro is ugly big and bulky.

  • hey is their a swappable ide drive bay on the market by any chance and if so, any recommendations

  • I have a swappable IDE drive systems. Even the white PC case has a swappable IDE drive. The swappable IDE bays more often than not need a tray system. Only the SATA drive are trayless for the most part. They should all work just fine.

  • @adobePC You're still using IDE? and you say the Mac Pro is lame, and you're still using IDE tech.... atleast the movie industry still use Mac Pros for editing... they're great for it, and if you need more than 4 hard drives.. you have a serious problem.... I had a pc, and pimped it out, and I trashed it in favor of my Mac Pro... games look much sweeter than on the pc...

  • this is far from a kickass system. That case has terrible airflow too you should do some cable management.

  • OMG! Now I remember why I never liked you, because of this video. You think these are nicer than Macs? This is plastic. You prefer PS/2 over USB? LMAO! I remember that. I remember when applesoldier owned you on that stupid statement!

  • He owned me dude? Yea USB is much much better than PS/2 your right.

  • Are you insane?

  • I am kidding. USB or PS does not matter at all. Applesoldier likes to think PS/2 is out date but I have a new video that proves these douche bags wrong. It should post in about 2 hours.

  • Yet again i was responding to someone else's comment, quite right though that is the point I myself was trying to make I am amazed some people would actually go out of their way to insult you because you use a PS/2 mouse it just baffles me that people think USB is obviously far superior despite having no proof whatsoever.

  • Ok wow this video proves you are stupid, how much does Apple charge for sleds you ask? They COME WITH THE COMPUTER, you get all 1 (preinstalled with the OS drive), and 3 other ones that are shipped empty to insert however many drives you wish.

Also, look at all the wires in your case, compared to the Apple case. Also, look at the sharp edges your PC case has. To make matters worse, you still have a floppy drive!

    PCs = Ford Pinto

    Macs = Mercedes Benz

PC users have no class, Mac has class

  • How is it going jackass? I know the Mac Pro ships with four hard drive sleds you dip shit but In order to swap the drives you would then be forced to unscrew the slede and screw it into the other hard drive. I say screw all that screwing. I guess you didn't think about that did ya jackass?

You would need more sleds if you have several drives you wanted to hot swap. You just got owned like so many others.

How does having a floppy drive make anything worse you shit head?

  • Well I didn't mean to sound like a jackass, and do apologize, as I normally do stay out of shit like this stupid Mac vs. PC crap.

But to say a $299 Dell can be converted into a kickass video editing machine? I would say so after you spend an additional $700.

Also, you do you have to unscrew the drives from the sleds, but you do not have to unscrew the sleds, or anything to get the side panels off, until it comes time to remove the drives from the sleds, which PCs also require.

  • My hard drive system is trayless. The swappable drive bay needs to be screwed in but after that the is no more screwing. I also do not have to open up my case either to remove a the hard drive.

The Mac Pro sled thing is just a real bad design. They should be trayless.

  • "I prefer the PS2 ports over USB" Come on man! Seriously?

  • Ah, yea?

I do like the option and it keeps my USB ports open for other things.

  • Well if PC manufacturers didn't use such cheap and archaic parts in their computers you would have USB ports instead of PS2 ports. Even today's PCs still have PS2 ports, Apple set USB as a standard 10 years ago.

  • They are not cheap and acrchiac. Not mention the fact the PS/2 port for the keyboard is number 1 dude after the system timer. It gets attention before USB, PCI, AGP, Fire Wire yada yada yada.

  • In one of your comments. "You can get RAM for about a dollar a GB. 40 GB will be $40.00 bucks."

  • I may have made a mistake. I am not going to watch my video to make sure if I did or did not make a mistake. I will state it is about $10.00 per GB for DDR 2. $40.00 will get you 4 GB of DDR2 RAM.

    DDR 3 is more expensive.

Beyond that why are you such an asshole? You could have stated the prices for RAM were not correct. That would have been wise. Instead you said I did not know the difference between memory and storage. I made a simple mistake you idiot.

  • It's not in your video. And you didn't say that it's $10.00 per GB of RAM. You said it was a $1.

  • I made a mistake you idiot. That does not mean I do not know the difference between storage and memory. Get over it dude. I stated what the price of DDR2 RAM is already in my last post.

  • You may have already said but what cases are you showing in this vid from left to right ?

  • My system was $600.00 dollars. It has 4 GBs RAM a 9400 GT with 512 MB of video RAM. The CPU is a 2.66 GHZ 8400 Quad Core (York Field). It kicks ass as is. I could put in more RAM but you have to realize it would not cost much to uprgrade a Dell or HP. You can get RAM for about a dollar a GB. 40 GB will be $40.00 bucks. You can get Quad Cores for $150.00 bucks and graphics cards like mine can be bought for a mere $45.00. PC parts are inexpensive dude. Get with the program. .

  • You're an idiot. You and emeek both are. The fact that you don't even know the difference between RAM and storage space sums up how dumb you are.

  • JimMayBeInSexTown,

You're right asshole. I can build complete sytem that kicks ass but I don't know the difference between RAM and storage space. I think you need to watch my video again you fucking douhce bag.

  • That is not a "kickass" system. And that doesn't change the fact that you're not even intelligent enough to know what RAM is and not get it confused with hard drive space does mean you're not any smarter than emeek is. I hate him too, but you're not much smarter than him. Yes, you build a fairly cheap pc. But it's also built from a cheap ass case which probably doesn't give anywhere near enough air flow to cool the thing.

  • Where did I confuse RAM with storage space dude, Where?

This system is not top of the line but it does indeed kick ass for video editing. Watch my other videos dude and you will see proof.

  • I for got it only needs 2 Gigs of RAM. Your talking Weel under $200.00 for a Yorkfield and 8 GIG of RAM

  • A kick-ass editing system is not going by the minimum system requirements. A kick-ass editing system would have

    6gb RAM or more

    4 cores or 8 cores

    512mb GPU or higher

  • "Even a cheap $299.99 Dell/HP can be made into an ass kicking editing system with very little money and very little effort" With very little effort, maybe. But very little money? Absolutely NOT. A kick ass editing system would be able to run avid. You know what avid requires? An intel xeon quad core and 8gb of RAM. That's not gonna cost very little money.

  • IPhenom3G,

Boo Boo you read it wrong. The Media Composer software will work with a simple Dual Core CPU.

On the Mac side they state XEON because Mac Pros only have Xeons. If you would actullay read the requirments you will find that it works with Core 2 Dual Mac laptops. The XEON branded CPU support multiple CPUs. That is it.

  • Ya i read it wrong my mistake. But a $300 dell/hp can NOT be turned into a kick ass editing system for little money.

  • It's out dated how? USB and PS/2 both work. PS 2 keyboards are usaully less expensive. I like having options so please stop being a douche bag. I said please!

  • I also prefer PS/2 to USB simply because it frees up USB ports for other things. Otherwise, there's no real difference.

  • You prefer PS/2? An over 20 year old technology? Get a hub, but it would better to say, get out of the stoneage.

  • The PS 2 Keyboard is top priority after the system timer. USB, PCI devices, Fire Wire, LPT ports are all second dog after PS/2. Also no matter what keyboard or mouse I like best I can get it. It is good to have options (USB or PS2)..

  • Well, I guess if you like really really old technology that outdated and practically not supported anymore, that's fine.

  • Very interesting show of PC hardware.

  • When this guy talking about "pimping" his computer what he means to say is RICING. Useless LEDs and and random light and see-through cases and dumb shit like that.

    Rice rockets are lame.

  • Comment removed

  • I don't see any LED's or random lights. How about you clarify?

  • PropellerBusted,

ON the PC side you do not have to hook up the hardrive light or the power light leds. I usually do not.

I pimp out my system for functionality not looks.

  • You are in the minority.

  • @zoulkyud

I was playing up the stereotype.

  • LOL@storage drawer! Is that your mom's machine or you're sister's?

  • PropellarBusted,

My phone can be used as a modem. It was very handy to have the storage drawer for my phone's USB cable. I have miss placed it several times. You can laugh all you want but it was great to have the storage drawer.

  • @adobePC

So, the USB cable is SO SHORT that the phone can't rest atop the chassis? Okay....

  • The proprietary cable is short but that is not the issue. When I am not using it it is the best place to store it. Also it is great for USB and SD cards. Next on my list is an internal card reader. I know Mac users hate to see wires dangling inside of the computer case but I had to see wires (USB, Fire Wire) dangling on the outside.

  • finally i found this video!!

    dude are u serious???

if u think thats better than a mac??!!

and obviously u hav never used a mac!!

seriously u make a video to own applesoldier, the only thing u managed to do was ridicule yourself!!!

  • your points appeal only to a minority of pc users. most people are not interested in 'pimping out' their computer nor even in building their own. look at the bigger picture.

by the way, you should avoid cheap computer cases like the ones you have. cheap computer cases are usually made of steel, which will corrode. i opened up an hp case, and it reeked.

  • I love how this video compares Macs to PCs. It's really impressive how you managed to compare the two without ever showing or using a Mac at all. Really just amazing. Five stars.

    A'hundred percent!

  • What would I be showing on the Mac side? They are all the same. I can not trick out a Mac Pro, Mac Mini or iMac. There would be nothing to show.

Take it or leave it is all I could say about the Mac line of computers.

  • 16 TIMES GRAPHICS LANE

Try "16 lane PCI Express slot"

  • thebsdguy,

You are correct that it is indeed a 16 Lane PCI Express slot but this video is for youtube only. I did not want to retake the voice over or waste time editing the video.

  • Those are some fugly systems...

  • As far as the white PC case I state that it is an old computer in the video. It is indeed a Pentium 3 and about 10 years old. It still works for surfing the net and making DVD copies. Not bad for a ten year old PC. The two black computers that are the same will be getting sold soon.

  • k dude... it's like cars. some people will buy a piece of junk car, just for the joy of putting new parts in it and customizing it and repainting it and stuff like that. then there's the people that buy a porsche just for a slick, beautiful design with fast parts that work great and won't need much customization.

if you're into building your car "100%" then go for it. Mac users just don't care about customizing, even tho you CAN upgrade parts fairly easily if you need to.

  • Though I agree with your point that PC's offer tons of expansion and customization, man those things are the UGLIEST computers I've ever seen.

  • They work best for me as of now. Watch my other video that will be coming in about two weeks. I am kind of busy right now. It will indeed own emeek's ass.

  • bro are you for real pc are a piece of shit ok you can axpand it how ever you want but on a Mac you aint got to put all that shit cause it comes with it already I have a pc right know me as a pc user can say they fucking suck im saving up money for a mac and I get paid 6.55 hr im not cheap like other people and when i get my mac im going to throw no im going run over my pc with a car you can shove your pc up your fucking ass

  • You're right that you can pimp out your mac as you stated, but most people don't want to worry about that nor care about it they just want to use their computers for their personal and work related activities. People just want to buy a computer and use it and not have to worry about searching and buying more parts for something the manufacturer can do for them which saves time, and not to be cliche but time is money.

  • Nice machines. Its true that the mac pro cases are always the same. It looks nice but you have the same computer like any other mactard. On pc you have so many choices. If you realy want a aluminium case you can simply stick with lian li cases for example.

  • "Dude, if you're poor, I suppose I could lend you a few bucks..."

Actually, I would think that burglars break into his home and leave money on the night table and take off.

  • The sad news is that $600.00 dollar computer system will blow emeek77/applesoldier's Mac right out of the water. I don't know whay the rest of you are using but emeek's system is old and out dated. He could get a $1200.00 HP that would kick ass but he loves his worn out Mac.

    My system rocks folks.

  • Comment removed

  • I would like to see the Mac Pro users instal 6 SCSI drives into their Mac Pro.

I would like to see the Mac Mini or iMac users install a Decklink Intensity Pro card in their system.

  • I would like to see the majority of WinPCs with the same credibility as a Mac in that it performs with stability. That it has the same rate of customer purchase satisfaction as well as good track record for customer support.

  • they do. the only ones that dont are the cheap 500 dollar ones...

  • That so? Well, do these "stable" WinPCs make up the majority of the market? If so, then why does the customer satisfaction rate and customer support always fall behind Apple's?

  • IDE, PS2, integrated grafics a $299 kick ass video editing machine your getting a kicked ass yourself for saying that Idi0t

  • The computer is very inexpensive. The MOBO was a mere 23 dollars. I installed a cheap sub 50 dollar Nvida 9400 GT graphics card. Any cheap Dell or HP computer since 2008 can be made into a decent video editng system.

I will put this computer against Emeekstt/Applsoldiers system.

  • now i know who's been going through my dumpster

  • I'm not at all fond of those cheap ass cases, heck even my five year old case that I paid $60 for looks better and it's steel... please tell me at least you don't use cheap ass Deer power supplies. Those can barely power a 100W light bulb.

  • Wtf are those pathetic cases? =)))) looks like 30 years old.

Get a coolermaster case or smth not this shitty cases.

  • how about getting 30 views on all your videos before you say anything

  • i think you got all your views b/c applesoldier

  • dude PC hardware is cheap and shotty and not even well made. like honestly i understand you can "pimp out" your PC but thats just retarded why would you want to do that. the main function of a computer is its computing not its looks. and apples operating system wells out with its hardware when a cheap and shotty PC fucks up syncing with its hardware and a PC really only has so much potential with its software and mac has a lot of potential with its software.

  • dude, thats no mac. Sorry. It may be the same on paper but thats all. lol. If you put it on paper, a ford mustang has a v8 and 4 wheels just like a rolls royce. But are they the same? lol. Hell, i could put the exact same engine in both the mustang and rolls royce but the mustang will never be a rolls no matter how hard it tries.

  • lol sooo true. And plus who would want those cases? They look like crap. Oh and adobePC, If your gonna show off a PC "cases" well at least get one than can even compare to a Mac.
