I remember in the Pilot episode, Charles yelled at Laura for defying him (untying Jack) when he told her not to. But he even apologized to her for that too.

I don't recall either of them feeling guilty for lying, stealing and manipulating people into buying drugs and begging on the streets con-ing ppl out of their money. Harming animals? Castoffs- Laura threw/hit her a dog with a stick!
