That said, I'll say that B2P is one of the most DANGEROUS ways, particularly because of the proximity to the eyes. It'll usually be louder than other pops, but not necessarily.
Perhaps the lady has a strong dislike of being unable to see what she's interacting with. That would be a good reason to avoid sitpops. Or she may just be more familiar with b2p, and keeps at it instead of exploring unknowns.
I ask my girlfriend to do something like this, but she always insists on blowing the balloon up until it pops instead. She says that's the only way she can pop them that doesn't scare her.
