For those of you you've tried Everyday Minerals & Laura Mercier's mineral powders: Is there any big difference between the two? I am using Everyday Minerals, and I really like it, but I'm also thinking of trying LM for a change... Is it worth it?

Queenie, if I'm understanding right, you're saying that mineral powder (in general) is better than liquid foundation/bb creams for our skin because it doesn't completely sink into our skin? I've been using mineral powder for few months now and I like how light it is. I use bare minerals. I never broke out. :)

Everyday mineral is actually a fairly good mineral makeup brand. The harm that it causes to the body is actually less than Bare Mineral and it is much cheaper too.

I use Bare minerals as well but the base powerder is too white. This will lead to unwanted shadows and a really ghostly face. instead I use Elizabeth Arden which is awesome. It does not require you to pour any powerder on the lid, it's compact and twist as you go. has a red base that keeps you looking human. I mix this with the bare minerals to get a perfect shade.

I like your video but sorry to say that the brands you recommended are not good. Avoid Bare Mineral seriously. I used it for a few years and this product clogged up my pores and caused breakout. Try this product called Jane Iredale. You can google this product and will find many good reviews. It's much much better.

I'd not recommend bare escentual id mineral foundation, I got cystic acne from it since it contains bismuth oxychloride as a major ingredient. If you run a search online, you can read others having similar experience also.

Mineral powder may not be safe for those who have sensitive skin .

I got a scar (probably permanent) from using id mineral foundation, so I'm very upset about it.

as a matter of fact, a lot of the products that claimed to be natural, organic etc are not so safe for sensitive skin (from my own experience & what I read from other sites). So proceed with caution. But you never know until you try it...the key is to stop when there is any unusual changes to skin.
