you need to eat fat. fat is not stored by your body as fat. it is used for production of many things, including enzymes, hormones and cell walls. fat is good for you as long as you eat the right types.

i get off work at 7am and then go grocery shopping. i'm always starving when i got, but for some reason the last time i came home w/ bok choy, kale and beets. i'm probably the only person who craves veggies to the point of drooling at the grocery store.

@affenonkel i am completely aware the human body can make cholesterol, but it makes the bad type of cholesterol in larger quantities than the good. the liver is only short-term storage form a slight excess of carbs, which are stored via glycolosis. however, long-term storage of these calories is in adipose tissue does cause the fat cells to bloat w/ water. the majority of the weight in adipose tissue is water.

@psycobasschick the human body is actually one of the least efficient biological mechanisms ever created. the reason the body creates bad fats and such is b/c it isn't given the right things to make good fats. its the same reason that beef that is grass-fed is leaner than beef that is fed on grain, as well as container better kinds of fats. you have to feed your body right in order for it to make the right types of the chemicals needed for life.

Cory, great and EASY recipe for chicken. Start with thawed or fresh chicken (if you wish to marinate before hand, do so), preheat oven to 500 deg. yes, 500 deg., take 2 tbsp canola oil and 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil and mix them together. Put chicken in a baking pan, brush the oil on top and bake at 500 deg. for 25-30 mins. Tastes awesome and is VERY juicy!

My dad grew up in CA and isn't moving back. Too much traffic, lol. Now he gets MN winters in which he has to use a snow blower. But he doesn't mind it. He's been here long enough... Before MN was AK and FL. I think he prefers the cold to heat. If he goes back to AK, he's never leaving.
