  • Good caller on the problem! I love the Tea Party movement, finally Americans are waking up.

  • Naive and incorrect to a fault, the "czars" have NO power they are advisors, period. Czars are a TV term not an official position of any kind. Glenn "I'm to Stupid for words" Beck is nothing but an Ass with no advertising. And I will take a look at that Repugnant Patriot Act again, but I got to tell you that if anyone can fix it, it will be my man Barry Obama. Worry not, we will not let those bastard Republicans back in office, at all ever. I even protect the uneducated and misinformed. Thanx

  • Leah, To dispel other misconseptions of HR 3200, I want to answer your questions, first CBO is basing its predictions on the proposal as it stands, which will change and the intangibles are to flexible for accurate predictions, but statistically graphing the vector it is easy to see a declination in cost over time and per capita.

  • Leah FNH - I must hand it to you for taking a stand: many in this country would not, thank you, I admire your fortitude. But, that said, I still think your conspiratorial angst is misplaced at best. Our system of government has overtly powerful checks and balances that prevent any totalitarian threats, as long as the populous insists on evidence based verification of political assertions. With that in mind, if possible, Google the links between Dick Armey (R TX) -DLA Piper -Freedomworks & #hcr.

  • "I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around [the banks] will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered." Thomas Jefferson. I am very afraid and I think we all should be.

  • Our constitution does not allow paper money to be printed based on nothing. The Fed Reserve has devalued our dollar to the point that it is worth 5 cents compared to when they were brought into existance. They are a private bank. And look at the corporations that have just been enriched by their pumping this money into them that we little people will have to pay for over generations, if we get a chance to. This is not tinfoil hat stuff. Why won't the Fed. agree to be audited?

  • Why in the name of God would our leaders be talking of giving this private corporation more power over our economy when it has been such a failure at preserving the dollar -- which was its mission? I've watched Ben Bern. on the hill this summer, and he won't even tell us where our money has been funnelled out... a good deal of which went to foreign banks. Said money has now been gambled speculatively in the stock market, giving them these huge earnings. This is corruption and theft from us.

  • Leah FNH First, I have family in White Mountain, NH I do not mean to offend. Secondly, for some 60 years Democratic government has been trying to reign in the power of financial institutions. But, they are adept at disinformation campaigns, and the Republican party is owned by them, totally. Fox News is nothing, if not a shill for the Republicans, financial institutions, and Big Business. Also, Fox knows psychology, rhetorical sophistry, they make good money for keeping the masses subservient.

  • Some evidence WTC demolished using explosives! 0 WT7 Fell at free fall speed 0 2ndry explosions caught on cam B4 collapse 0 Squibs seen at reinforced points of Towers 0 Lobbys of Towers destroyed B4 collapse 0 No resistance put up by 80,000 Tons of structural steel 0 No evidence of Pancaked floors 0 Molten Metal Found At ALL 3 Towers 0 Giant Steel Columns Blasted Hundreds of Feet Away 0 Fires Burned for Months 0 1100 Bodies missing Can Gravity do this? NO!
  • The reason why I loathe the press so much is because THEY are the ultimate tool for whatever Obama wants to put through. The national media is condemning these protests, calling these people "misinformed and practicioners of fear". If this bill is so convoluted with medical jargon, to the point where it's even "too complicated" for many of our so-called intelligent politicians to read, then doesn't it sound off an alarm to clearly-thinking people that maybe this measure needs further scrutiny?

  • "I've never been politically active in my life, I've never don't anything like go to protest, ever." - Leah

So this woman became more upset when the government put forth a bill to try and cover the uninsured of the country but yet didn't voice any protest at the roughly 700,000 dead and the roughly $890 billion spent as a result of the Iraq war? removal of habeas corpus and domestic wire wiretapping? Yeah but a healthcare bill that isn't even in it's final stage is what fired her up.

  • some people still haven't figured out 9/11 was an inside job and the wars are complete frauds yet.. all in time.

  • I made a lot of enemies at work among the retired police and military men that became bailiffs for criticizing the Iraq war and asking for some kind of proof there were WMDs there as we were ramping up to go charging in. Why do liberals continually shift the current debate to what you assume someone's opinion was in the past? It seems to me that most of us are sick of our govt. We should unite. It serves govt. well that we continue to fight among ourselves.

  • I quoted you directly from your own words in the video, I didn't assume anything. I'm personally not sick of the government, this administration has made some choices I'm not happy with as with the last. It's one of the best on the planet. We need open debate with people who understand what they're talking about. The problem is most of the people arguing against the bill don't understand what they're talking about. Mostly because they get their information from "email - patriots".

  • Once again, I don't know what you critics of mine are talking about. I don't get my information from e-mails. I don't know what your level of education is, sir, but I have a master's degree and don't appreciate you making the insinuation that I am uninformed or foolish. I said in the video I had not been politically active or gone to a protest. That doesn't mean that I have never spoken out about what former administrations in this monstrosity of what we call a federal government before.

  • awesome Leah, thank you for speaking for us!!

  • I applaud and appreciate the good information from fellow Americans who thoughtfully contribute in these responses. We should ignore the nitwits. So many of us are so sincere; as Leah certainly is. So many good, deeply caring people in this great Republic of ours.

  • We are manufactured.....We're manufactured by asshole congressmen that are taking bribes to push BULLSHIT legislation.

    She definitely nailed it.

  • Spot on. She's right, we're being lied to by these political bottomfeeders and their media lackeys. Healthcare "reform" is a sham - it's just another way to grab further control of our lives.

  • right on Leah. props to C-SPAN for letting her speak her mind.

  • Word!

  • I actually live in NH right under Manchester and Leah is speaking nothing but truth.

My mother was signed up for that "phone call thing" and they disconnected her because she is a registered republican.

We want answers and our "representatives" are playing stupid games and hiding from us.

  • Leah thank you - so well said!

  • Also, John Holdren is part of a team, conflating his views on population control with that of the administration is similar to my objection to pious pundits getting near the White House, because their doctrine insists on stoning mouthy teenagers to death. And the bridges in this country are still standing because vigilant officers were on the scene, Homeland Security has many successes, but mostly overseas from what I can verify. Inculcation is ok, unless it's irrational beliefs, dogma or lies.

  • Are you talking about page 426 of the House version of the bill, this section puts the decision power back in the hands of the patient to forestall needless physical and financial suffering for all concerned parties, except it takes the power away from the hospice, hospital etc. so they can't "milk" the patient until dead or unable to pay. This whole reform is about taking greed out of healthcare.

Who said "those who surrender freedom for security deserve neither", oh, Ben Franklin 20% Atheists

  • Do your own research, take responsibility for holding your representatives accountable. Ask informed questions an most of all question everything - especially authority. This caller is unaware that she is being manipulated by the oldest trick in the book, dissemination of disinformation Freedomworks et al CSE, rightwing religious groups, and republicans in general have much to gain by defeating this bill at our expense. So big money can just keep on rolling.

  • Clearly tricking people with propaganda is exclusive to Conservatives and Right Wing nuts. Maybe you should lay off the kool-aid for a few days.

  • You are ridiculous by saying that republicans have anything to do with what's going on. They are a non-issue. Democrats do not need a single republican vote in the senate or house of representatives to pass this legislation. Yet, "Barry" and Senate majority leader now threaten to pass the bill under reconcilliation. Why? They are afraid they can't even get enough democrat votes to pass it. You, sir, are being manipulated by disinformation.

  • Have any of you actually read the bills, I have, have any of you actually been on the various types of insurer plans, I have - including gov't and military. You need this option your just to ignorant and inculcated to know it. Financial institutions own the Republican party and those phony Blue Dogs and others. This bill is just an option, a choice, a choice that will bring down the cost of healthcare and that is all regardless what the fear mongers and fox news tell you.

  • You didn't listen to a word the lady said did you?

  • Yes, multiple times and it is obvious that she is a plant. The Leah of New Hampshire is... well google her first name and you'll see what I mean, I think she is a republican lacky or works for Freedomworks, which is owned and funded David Coke of Coke Industries. Investigate this crap people the power mongers are using you in a time honored tradition of playing off your ignorance.

  • You are an obvious plant to try and get people upset. It's called being an internet troll, don't ask me where the name comes from cause I don tknow

  • Why do you think it is obvious I am a plant? A plant from whom? I am a registered Independent. I don't even know who Freedomworks is! I'll tell you what is ignorant: Assuming you know my motivations when you know nothing about me. I wanted Obama to win the presidency. The republicans are getting an earful at their town hall meetings, too; not just democrats. All of us that are disgusted with how Washington has worked for years need to unite, not bicker about the old repub/demo thing.

  • Because your information about the bill proposal is so inaccurate, but similar (like you cheated on test by copying someone that was way off) and no one in their right mind would protect the insurance industry. Also, I have read the bill this country needs it, in a hurry. You are just parating Limbaugh, Liberty council and others. Volunteer Plant, Dupe, Sock Puppet take your pick.

  • As a teacher, your accusation is particularly offensive to me. What information about the bill do I have that is inaccurate? Do you think the congressional budget office is lying? They also said millions of us will be moved from our insurance into the govt. plan against our will. I don't listen to Limbaugh. I don't know who the Liberty Council is. You are misreading the motives of those speaking out. When you do that, you make us not believe a word you say. Don't you get that?

  • I live in Hawaii, Barry Obama grew up here and Oklahoma he is a genuine guy, the only parents he knew were white, elderly (after his mother) and poor, hard working, regular, people. He is one of us, just smarter than most.

You seem to worry about the money, but our monetary system is built on independent variable flux, based on consumer confidence, not gold standard (you are not the said consumer, other countries are). I'm not talking to you but to people reading these comments, I care for USA.

  • "Barry" Obama is a genuine guy. What does that even mean? That he won't mislead us? He keeps taking jabs at doctors pulling tonsils out and cutting feet off unnecessarily due to us not giving enough preventative care, and that by pumping more money into preventative care we will come up with enough savings to fund this massive proposal. The CBO said that preventative care will NOT decrease the cost of our healthcare system; but instead raise the costs. He lies to us, like all politicians.

  • What is wrong with youtube? You can't browse the videos to see the top political videos. I wonder why that could be?

  • People smell the danger of losing their liberties forever. Liberty and Freedom have a NATURAL ability of UNITING PEOPLE!

  • People feel in danger of losing their liberty do to legislation on health care reform? Did you feel those same pangs of fear during the Homeland Security implementation in the Bush era, you should have. Oh, regardless of the media talking points the vast majority of voters are for the healthcare option - the educated majority not the indoctrinated, oppressed, inculcated religious minions. This country was founded on freedom of mind - the rational of The Enlightenment.

  • I love you Leah! What an awesome call!

  • You go, girl!! You said exactly what millions of us want to say and never get the chance.

  • Leah, you rock! You are dead on right. I'm not a hired gun, and I am ticked off at *all* our congressmen/women for their insincerity and unwillingness to do what their employers (i.e. constituents) want -- slow down, have honest debate with real solutions to real problems (how 'bout tort reform, people?) within the health care industry. Shaheen, Shea-Porter and Hodes -- you work for New Hampshire, NOT Palosi-Obama.

  • Maybe, just maybe, our reps should listen to what the people want instead of telling us what we need. It's no wonder these town hall meetings have come to this. The people have had enough of the lies and hidden agendas from our government. We don't trust them and haven't for quite some time.

  • How does it feel to volunteer your work to help private insurance companies?

  • How does it feel to offer no real solutions to what you perceive but spam on every video?

  • @kinsmarley1 How does it feel to volunteer your empty words on behalf of politicians who would enslave you?

  • amen leah!
