I don't understand when people say this is a boring movie. Granted that the pace becomes somewhat deliberate after the first tense 20 minutes, but the rest of the movie further develops our idea of who the killer is as a person and the brutal nature of the killings. The art lies in the gradual revelation of the killer's character and not so much on gratuitous hack and gore.

This movie ends at this point. I'm not sure why the producers decided to end the movie here. According to the motion picture's website, they had already exceeded the budget for the film and they weren't sure if the movie was even going to be picked up, so they decided to leave the ending as a question. Looking back, it seems quite clear that this movie had a lot of potential to make it big. I, personally, would have like to see a little more movie footage to try and tie up some loose ends.
