natürlich! bei den opelanern musste man keinen ölwechsel machen daas öl floss von allein aus allen dichtungen. man musste nur bei jedem tanken einen liter öl nachleeren... gut informiert!

War ein super Reiseauto! Für die damalige Zeit erste Sahne! Allerdings... naja, wir hatten meine Eltern und ich jetzt inzwischen auch^^ 4 Opels insgesammt! Und bei JEDEM hatten wir technische Mängel!

Und ganz besonders leider bei dem Caravan :(

Lichtmaschiene kaputt 2x, Auspuff hatte Löcher 2x (Austausch nur komplett mit Kat! (800DM) weil Opel keine Einzelteile hat)

und das waren nur wenige der vielen Macken :(

fazit: schön aber enttäuschend

Leute, das ist ein altes Auto, was sparsam und günstig fährt. Wer hier Werte einer Rennmaschine erwartet oder mit der "meiner ist immer zweimal länger als deiner" Nummer kommt, sollte sein Verhältnis zum Thema Auto mal auf den Prüfstand stellen.

Nicht schnell, aber günstig und man kommt trotzdem noch gut von A nach B damit.

hab den selben, da ist der motor aus dem Tigra drin das merkt man schon denn der fühlt sich erst oberhalb von 3000 umdrehungnen wohl.

fazit: untenraus müde (1335 kg) aber trotzdem 200 möglich (101PS)

had a 1.8l vectraB.. and your points feel spot on. almost. my break is good (not to hard) compaired to the cars ive tested and gear-lever to short for my liking (im very tall) but yes.. imprecise.. 5gear and reverse. :\

my biggest complain would be it still feels really weak on low revs (have tested 2.0 and they are truly more plesant to drive not to mention 2.5 but then you get a big drop in milage). have to downshift for well most things :) rev it.

My Astra F (built 1997) has the 1.8 16V-engine with 115HP combined with automatic tranny, and i'm disappointed: the engine is bad banging till 2000 revs and powerless, the power come upon 3500 rev, but the tranny doesen't like high revs. no good combination, really......

I own a 1.6 101 HP Vectra B as well (same power as this one on the video). Even though I really like the car (VERY comfortable for the time let me tell you - it's not a "cheap" car), I have to agree with the author's description. The car is in fact very lazy, but that's due to the weight it has. With the 2.0 Petrol version, it gets much better.

i think the 1,6 or 1,8 should do. i prefer the saloon...

PS. my ascona takes 16 secs to go to 100...but it is only a 1,6 with 75hp and automatic gearbox

It's 12,5s cause a analog speedometer cannot have any error!! I've got also the Vectra 1,6 16V but a saloon it's actually a bit faster. We've checked a few times and the acceleration 0-100km/h is 11,5s. Goes quite well over 130km/h, cause this engine works best on higher revvs. I think the saloon is a bit lighter than the caravan, this might be the reason why it's a bit faster. We have also max it an it was about 200km/h on the speedo. I think that's nice for a 1,6 16V mid-class saloon.

Than search here on youtube for "1.6 16V ecotec astra", and see 4 your self, what this little engine can do in a "lighter" (1000~ kg) chassis! It does 8,5 from 0-100!! I have the same sedan car, and it really runs like hell!!!
