Which of the 2 ex-HSR E800s had the small diesel auxiliary power unit installed? That project was not a success; only one firm bid on the job, and it was cancelled about halfway through. HSR had 16 E800s built in 1978
@roboteng20 I did not have to pay to see those buses at that time. Not sure now since I haven't been there for a long time and they do move the buses around from time to time.
The HCRR should have kept 9339. If I'm not mistaken, it was in better condition than the others ? (e.g.: not vandalised windows, nicer paintjob, Flyer manufacturer's plate, etc.)
Seems to be a lonely spot you picked here. Yeah I remember riding the black and yellow HSR trolleys. Quieter than deisel. Problem is that occasionally the poles would get bumped off the overhead wires and we'd have to wait until the driver fixed them again. Do these old timers ever see any action like the streetcars do? I may have been there ONCE in my youth, early seventies (if it was around then) oterwise I'm thinking of something else.
Great video. The first and third bus is a Flyer E-700 and the last bus look is a Flyer E-800 right? Could tell by the window design and the headlights. The Flyer E-800 we had the rear end looks a little different with the top sticking out. Those are good buses.

The empty spot between the HSR flyers was the spot of TTC flyer 9339 which is now at Illinois Railway Museum, according HCRY's Nov 2006 Happenings.
