You use the 'splatter test'. Put a small amount in a pan and heat it up. If it 'splatters', that is the water in the oil boiling. Even if it doesn't, it will still have some water in it - but it will not be serious. Diesel you get at the pump has water in it as well, all fuel does infact.

:) It doesn't advertise itself as such. I'll be moving to some that is this spring. That's where I get the 20L containers anyways! :)
