Damn. Too bad I never got into the GT series. I first played the first GT... And then I head back to Jet Moto, Ridge Racer, Hydro Thunder, Mario Kart, etc. Though lately I've been craving for something more realistic, and I gave Forza 3 a try (don't troll) and MAN these games are a challenge. I just want to go fast, drift around corners and knock my opponents off the road! >:]

I never really liked GT 1 and 2, probably because I was too young to enjoy the realism at the time. But when you compare 1 to 2, it's amazing how much GT2 squeezed out of the PSX.

Gran Turismo is better than any other racing similator ever

did anyone notice that when they first played GT2 to GT3 there was a massive graphics improvement

ALSO... racing is NOT about crashing your car, it's about DRIVING, so all the Forza fanboys are like, oh that game doesn't have damage so it sucks. Yeah, go ahead and smash up a real circuit car, see how far you go pro, I know it's good to have damage, but that's not MY focus. I started playing GT4 again and I still love it, now when GT5 comes out I don't know what's going to happen to my Xbox :D

Not trying to be a fanboy here but without Gran Turismo there would be no Forza Motorsport because Microsoft wanted to compete with this game because of how much it has sold. That's all Microsoft is...MONEY. And Everbody knows it's the truth, don't deny it. Racing isn't about putting body kits and putting 3,000 decals on your car, it's about DRIVING. But Forza still is a pretty good game.

Best Racing game... Ever. Gran Turismo was my first ever racing game, and it's what made me love cars to this day. Thanks for posting this up man, I remember Trial Mountain as one of the longest tracks in Gt1 (before Route 55 or something like so). I've played every single one of them, but Gt1 and 2 were the ones I will remember the most.

I remember when my dad brought home Gran Turismo 3 one night when I was only 6 years old. He was racing around the super speedway. I told him I wanted to try and then he droped the whole game forever just because I wanted to try. Now Im 13 and a half and reminiscing through gt3 by watching this video. We still have the original gt3 from 2001. I wouldn't trade it for $1,000,000.00!!! But I play GT4 now (which is so much better and I look forward to getting GT5 in the near future!!

I agree with Ironicicle - there was a noticeable degradation in graphical quality for the sheer quantity of cars. Though there are those - such as Officialmashitup - that feel that the sacrifice was worthwhile, I can't help but wonder... Do we really NEED 35 different models of Skyline, Lancer, and Corvette? I do believe that I'm going to go dust off my GT1 CD, though, and get some quality time in with a good friend.

Hey Jason ..... really great video. I'm working on a similar project and am just a bit disappointed that it wasn't my original idea :-) I had thought it was, but just saw your video today for the first time. I would have liked to have had the engine sounds in the background but I really enjoyed the editing and flow of the transition images.
