I'm from Melbourne and Geelong isnt all bad, its just certain places like Corio and Norlane that ruin its image, they are always in the news, not the other suburbs. like that girl who got sexually abused at knife point in Norlane. Its not anywhere near as bad as parts of Melbourne.

Nice work ... Geelong certainly isn't such a bad place as its made out to be. We've got a few bad apples but the majority are good at least to a civil degree and often to a much higher level. The problem with peoples impressions of this city, especially internally is the bad apples are generally the loudest ones or the ones that get noticed the most. I mean you see upwards of 1000 people out in Geelong out in a night and only a small handful of them are aggressive and violent.
