Love this moive. I saw it when I was about 6, so I didn't quit understand why it was so jacked up, I just knew that it was. Then I saw is it some years later and all I could think was "that bitch". This ending was so sad and so real. Having your heart broken for the first time is the absolute worse feeling in the world. In some way we never quite get over that because you never ever forget it. Great ending to an otherwise pretty dumb movie.

Possibly the most perfect and realistic ending ever. For most of the movie it was a teen comedy but by the ending its a very tender and realistic coming of age movie ever. In my opinion this is the moment where Gary grows up.

I just got through watching this movie for the first time, and I thought the ending was genius. One I thing liked about how it starts off like a typical teen sex comedy then like the last 30 mins or so it takes a dramatic tone and sends a true message to guys, no matter how much we love a girl and as much as you do for her doesn't mean you would always win her in the end.
One of the most Brutally realistic endings to a comedy ever! The best thing about the Last American Virgin, is it tricks you in the begging that you are watching what we call now a run in the mile teen sex comedy, AKA American Pie like films. Then near the end it becomes one of the most brutally honest coming to Age films ever made!
The basic problem with this movie is its flagrant discontinuity to the point of not making sense. Nonetheless, if there's a moral to be found here, it's nice guys finish last.

I will always remember that ending. My friends and I were kids at the time and when we saw this, we were like, "What the fuck?! This is how the movie ends?".

I just got through watching this movie for the first time, and I thought the ending was genius. One I thing liked about how it starts off like a typical teen sex comedy then like the last 30 mins or so it takes a dramatic tone and sends a true message to guys, no matter how much we love a girl and as much as you do for her doesn't mean you would always win her in the end.

One of the most Brutally realistic endings to a comedy ever! The best thing about the Last American Virgin, is it tricks you in the begging that you are watching what we call now a run in the mile teen sex comedy, AKA American Pie like films. Gary made a lot of crucial mistakes that got him there, the biggest being when he came to her to comfort her after she got dumped. He came to her as a friend and even defended rick when he should have demonized rick. Thats why I think this movie was great because it was very realistic. If a girl is not attracted to you than she's not attracted to you pure and simple.

This movie should be REQUIRED viewing for teenage boys all over the world. In your typical Hollywood film Karen would fall into Gary's arms and they'd live happily ever after. Pleasant but not realistic. The truth is no matter what you do for a girl, if she's not attracted to you, you will never win her over. All the favors, gifts, and money you spend on her will be useless. If the girl DOES have feelings for you, you can be the biggest jerk but she'll still love you. That's just the way it is

"Can´t Buy Me Love" shows how the nerd can end with the beautiful girl only showing his good heart, but in real life, most of times the girl will fall in the arms of another guy (perhaps not so good person but more handsome, fitter or richer), while our good boy becomes only her friend, and uses him as a kleenex when her boyfriend treats her like shit before returning with him.
