Yup, definitely 300 bpm. If it was 150bpm it would be close to impossible for anyone to play faster than 200 bpm. And as previously stated, it would be impossible to write this song out at 150 bpm, it would be way too many 32nd notes, which is inefficient.
I found a spider and named it after you. A short while later it got eaten by another spider. I then changed the first spider's name to Travis Barker, and the more badass one is now named after you instead :)
I don't know what happened with Abigail Williams, but it shouldn't have happened. No disrespect intended, but I preferred him in AW. He's still an amazing drummer though. :)
Please, can anybody tell me the diference between Iron Cobra pedals (power glide) and Axis pedals?? I mean... one of them is better than the each other or what??
@autopsiante axis is direct drive, makes playing at high speeds more durable and exact, however they feel increibly different to other pedals, cobra pedals would be more suited to mid range and slow groovier beats.
met this guy in like 2008, he was wasted just standing around on his own cus I think he'd literally only just joined abigail so I had a chat with him haha
Tempo is 300bpm? He's playing in 8th note triplets then... This is defiantly not 16th, well, the skanks are like 150 at 16ths tho. I may be wrong though...
he quit because they were always fighting about stuff and they always some retarted shit that giving them problems so he left... read on the interview
It's triplet 16ths at 150 man, not 32nds :) only a handfull of guys in the world could play straight 16ths at 300, and they all use doubles strokes (heel toe etc), samus uses single strokes.
Ok? Well 225 is the straight equivalent to 150 16th trips so I don't know what you're arguing with me here? You're just putting a different name on it. It's just in this video he's using a click of 300 (or 150) so he IS playing in triplets.
@Rukazor Tempo is not subjective my friend... sundivisions are, if he says tempo is at 300 bpm's it's because he was recording on a metronome set with quarter notes at that speed, there would be the same amount of "clicks" if you set the metronome to play in 8th notes at 150 bpm's, but as the pulse in general doesn't feel too fast, yes... it feels like 150 bpm's, for example: at 01:06, but as I said, maybe he was recording at 300 bpm's cause some times it's easier that way...
@Rukazor I know I'm a little late in responding to this, but YES IT IS 300bpm! I don't care what Gene Hoglan says. Yes I could have recorded it at 150 but its way easier at 300 since there are twice as many clicks and it easier to stay in time.
WHOA! This is a really good song... in my OPINION. It has a really frantic feel to it, reminds of "The Eruption" from Emperor. And I personally like the more extreme aggressive tone in the vocals for being thrash if I'm not mistaken. Can't wait to get this.
I hate the rain on anyone's parade, but... Well, this song bored me. Don't get me wrong. This guy is DEFINITELY deserving of being called a Sick Drummer. But I'm sorry. This song was boring to me.
@byLivio Just because someone plays fast, intense music doesn't mean it's a sport. There's just as much feeling in this as there is in some jazz, blues, or rock drumming. Common misconception.
Man, how far has the development gone by now? Its like millions of drummers around the world at this level (I only see this as a good thing, Im not taking credit from this guy, he is great!) but I start to wonder...whats gonna happen next? Will people start dying just from listening soon? :)
