  • Lineker you should have slapped him for the handball, the second goal was genius though, one in a million

  • cheating in football makes it's football. Sit back and eradicate every memorable moment in history, yeah...doesn't seem that exciting does it?

  • Linekar the authentic British Man with his gentleness in blood.Diego the man with genius and history of civilisational conflicts in his blood. Both cannot be matched .......!! I love you Gary&Diego.Lets forget the past.

  • how can you talk to this cheat gary..? he is the devil

  • @class66

has "saint gary" ever dived? or milked a small bit of contact? geez, you'd think maradona's hand goal was the first time anyone ever cheated in football...

  • I came on here for football reasons, but debate about war is overhsadowing the fact two old foes were able to put differences aside and become firm friends during gary's short stay. Alot of countries have done shameful things in the past, as hombrerelents said about Argentina harbouring Nazi war criminals. But then look at what we, The British, did in Ireland in the late 19th and early 20th century, no nation is without its regrets, being British im ashamed of the things we did in Ireland.

  • @afcjonny1 it's better to have something to be proud of (english football and history in Britain) and ashamed of Ireland) then nothing to be proud of or ashamed like my country.

  • why the fuck is everyone talking about wars? jesus if want to talk about the history of countries then ur on the wrong fuckn video

  • @MrTrixShotz97 Good point well made Sir.

I feel silly about taking the bate from an apologetically "patriotic" Brit.

The first time I read his comments though, I felt ashamed to be associated with such views in any way.

But you are so right: football only for me from now on.

  • Let's talk about football guys! Haha

  • @gadamer102 youtbube is so fucked up these days

  • @leiojpc I back you, bro. and im british... its good that you show underrstanding of our past because we are ALL human, we all make mistakes, we move on and learn from them.. :)

  • @SnowWhiteBears Like I said most major countries. It would also defy belief for me to hide the shady colonial past of the last great world empire, especially when it's a fact of modern history. It's a given really.

The point being that we all need to move forward and accept that all humans are capable of the most horrendous crimes. Genocide and slavery have blighted the human race. Be it the killing fields of Cambodia, the Bosnian genocide or the enslavement and murder of millions of Africans

  • @saffibaffi And if i was a chav would i really be arguing on youtube about history? come on. I would be out stealing cars and committing mindless vandalism.

  • @saffibaffi You open your eyes and dont believe things that these communist cunts in charge tell you.If you knew anything about British history which clearly you do not, you would know that we did not rape, pillage and loot countries, its like the romans in britian they gave us sewage roads etc, we gave the world: railroads and other useful technology, you go and ask any Indian whether their country is better off without us in power and the answer you may get may come as a shock to you.

  • @saffibaffi your obviously the typical liberal communist type who also are in charge of this country, shut up!! you fucking traitor cunt.

  • They can have the goal... let them have it! We have the Falklands. Nuff said :)

  • @StangoeHD i like british people! the big majority are good persons! but you’re faggot ! im argentinian

  • @fede1081 You tried your best in the war :)

  • If I was him I honastly would of told the ref it was my hand. I would have more respect from everyone. It would of been the right ting to do. Besides Maradona already had his reputation. He didnt need to be a cheat and lier.

  • @IHIeaTzHD

Don't think so, you would? You have to be there, at this moment... it was a 1/100 second reaction, move the hand and that's it! Diego didn't get in this field this day thinking "today i'm going to score with my hand" The same as you, when you play football. But everything happens in 4 or 5 seconds...

I don't like what happens in this match, I would prefer score good goals, but I have no doubts that Argentina was the best team this World Cup.

    Sometimes

  • Lineker is a true sportsman. Hope England wins the WC sometime.

Maradona, is a good host but lets his emotions run his life. I do admire how he played and how he has contributed to Argentina and World football. Rare to see two legends in this way, past rivals now friends?

  • @leiojpc You win some, you lose some.

  • Maradona is such a lovable rogue, isn't he? luv him!

At least he isn't as fake as Thierry Henry.

  • sticking 3 lions on the t shirt makes the goalkeeper heavy so maybe they should replace them whit a couple of flees and than he might have jumped higher than a short fat man

  • I don't blame Maradona. I blame Peter Shilton for failing to out-jump a 3foot dwarf.

  • @RobiTotal90 well told mate :D

  • I think a real footballer who scores with his hand wouldn't want the goal, b/c he knows it isn't fair play and he'd say, no goal.. a fake goal doesn't give any satisfaction anyway

  • gary lineker is the opposite of wayne rooney

  • its funny how lineker sucks up to the cheat, no wonder maradona thinks the english are pussies. he hates the english due to their arses getting kicked in the falklands.

  • @innit27 I´m from Argentina, and I´m a big Fan of British people in many ways, I think you can find the best music of the last 50 years in that country and I´d love to visit some day, but there´s something Always bothers me; Pirats! it´s Ok to say That one player cheated in one football match, but doesn´t compares with cheating politicaly to steal lands from other Countrys with wars just to make money.. Lot of people died both sides just for England´s Ambitions... a real shame!

  • @leiojpc

    Do you mean the empire?

  • @Mazza4Azza Yes... I guess That´s What I´m Talking about... It´s time to stop this Madness, and we, the people have the power. There´s enought food, Money and land fo all of us, so... why do we kill each other for things we can get with no harm made? Imperialism needs to stop everywhere... I´m sick and tired of nonsense wars for money, religion and/or lands. I´m not comunist, but Capitalism is just not working because 5% of the people are eating 95% of the Cake of the World...

  • @leiojpc

True but we don't practically own any country now. Most of them are independant. If you know some of your history, the countries that were under our empire benefited from us.

  • @Mazza4Azza Yes, I didn´t say you do now, I was talking about History in general, and punctualize on last 200 years. And also Agree with the fact that the Countrys invaded by England were more benefited than Countrys Like mine, invaded by Spain... althoug maybe India benefited England with it´s culture than England on India, but that´s just something I´ve heard... I don´t know if it´s true...

  • @leiojpc

I have never met a soul that wanted England to go to war in the Falkands. I've lived in England all my life, and any time I hear people talk about it, I just hear that it was a waste of Argentines and British men for cruel and greedy leaders.

  • @LutonIrish10 You are spot on except that you could have substituted "cruel and greedy leaders" for Margaret Thatcher.

  • @LutonIrish10 I agree with you 100%... but I think it´s a matter of culture of the countries... As I said, I admire British Culture, except the fact that Always try to Get Propperty of Other Lands, Like South Africa, Australia and India... And Let´s not Forget the biggest Son of England, USA, that takes the Father´s example...

  • @leiojpc USA dosent follow are example they have no discipline they are trigger happy people where as we only start a war when its brought on us or if are interests are threatened and stop pretendin the falklands are yours they where uninhabited when we found them like tristan da cunha ascension island bermunda etc do u want them to go to sum infant country that was created after we found them just cause it closer exactly no argument there not yours stop getting brainwashed.

  • @JamesCunnyy well, as a matter of fact, the second stand goes by the hand with the first one, If you believe that the Malvinas are British, then you believe Argentina was a Menace To your interests... The excuse for the war changes, but it´s the same for me... Malvinas has Oil just like Middle East, invaded by USA... Argentina was invaded by British in 1806, and lost the war that did´t lost on Malvinas, I don´t think I´m the "brainwashed" one... Great Album By George Harrison by the way....jaja

  • @leiojpc Argentina wasn't a country in 1806. The Rio del Plata were Spanish colonies, and Britain was at war with Spain and France. End of.

  • @Stakker yeah... open up a book of history and as you read facts, I read hypocritical Bullshit... I mean, how would you feel to see a bunch of neighbours fighting for your house? ... and they will say is their house becouse they´re bullys and nobody want´s to defend you from bullys.... jajaja... and you come and talk about those facts with an "End of!"... yeah, it´s funny

  • @leiojpc British people really arn't "pirates"-actually were quite a friendly bunch. You shouldnt make the mistake of thinking that you personally have had anything at all to do with the history of your country the same as i havnt had anything to do with the history of my country. We would welcome you with open arms

  • @charlesb1984 Well... again... I´m sorry If I was misunderstude with the "pirats" thing... I ment it as a cultural thing... and though every country changes it´s ways, some people of the old school might stay... and I know you didn´t have to do with what happened on your country, and the same for me, but we are responsables for the present. I know you would welcome me with open arms and it´s one of the reasons why England is the first country I´d visit

  • @charlesb1984 Agreed. I have plenty of Argentine friends in London and they all enjoy our company as much as we enjoy theirs.

  • @leiojpc England's Ambitions? LOL. I think you'll find it was the fascist dictator from Argentina that invaded British territory. No disrespect to you, but any educated Argentinian person will tell you that the Falklands war was a waste of time and life.

  • @Stakker Yes, Englands Ambition... Oh, and let´s not forget that The argentinian Dictator was also Drunk Most of the time, I mean, you must be to go to war to a Country with a lot of War History supported by The Yankis.. and even Helped by Chile... If I go walkin and find a House door Opened, I don´t get in and claim it´s mine... I´ll try to find the owner, so he can close the door... but that´s just me...

  • @leiojpc I don't understand what you mean? Argentina found a House door open in 1982 and invaded and claimed the Falklands were theirs. So perhaps it's not you.

Perhaps I am misunderstanding you, but The Falklands were almost undefended, (80 Marines stationed there in 1982) so Argentina invaded with little opposition. Argentina attacked 1600 defenceless islanders with over 11,000 troops.

    That's the facts.

  • @Stakker Mmmhh... No, This is what Actually Happened according to History... The Islands Where Found Officially by a Netherland marine called Sebald de Weert. (Though some Indians arrows and skeletons were found). Then a British called John Strong passed by and Named The Faklands Channel. The Islands Where First Occupied by France, but they agreed to Leave after a petition by Spain in 1766. Then British buit a Port, but Spain Made ALL British to leave The Islands... (continues)

  • @Stakker ...In 1811 The Islands were Abandoned by Spain and got Deserted untill 1820 (Argentina Got Independent in 1816 from Spain) and was only visited by Whale Hunter Boats. That Year (1820) Buenos Aires Goverment Took Possetion and Got The Rights over the Islands, for there were part of the territory that Spain Left after the 1816 Independence...

  • @Stakker In 1833, The HMS Clio, comanded by the British Captain John Onslow, Came to the Islands to Take over the Islands, and Argetinian Captain Pinedo, surrended for He wasn´t ready to go to war. Argentina Was a Country getting Born and The ISlands were Stolen like a candy from a Boy ... a real Shame

  • @leiojpc The Falkland Islands have been under Britiish rule since 1833. The people there are Enlglish and its been this way for centuries.

  • @leiojpc You a fool, that was the govement a small population of a well populated country. It was not our ambition it was the ambition of a greedy few. And looking at your crime rates I would suggest you know all about greed

  • @leighdeeming What´s your problem? are you angry? there´s no need for that attitude... This is an exchange of opinions based on the facts we know and here you come saying that I know about greed... You don´t know me and I don´t know you, so, I cant say who you are... why do you? If you are part of a "better" country, shouldn´t you know better?

  • @leighdeeming And You laught at the crime rates in our country... Our country has a stupid story, always made the wrong dessitions, and live almost all 20th century in between democracy and dictators placed there by countrys Like USA, that doesn´t want South American Countrys to grow... It happened to All countrys here, no grow, no money, poor people trying to survive, robberys, hungry, false political promises... Try to live here, and then you´ll be good enought to tie my shoes !

  • @leiojpc you are more than likely the descendent of Spanish pirates no?

  • @rvh3 Actually, I`m half Spanish and Half Italian, but not from 500 years ago, but from 100 years ago, when war and repression was the main thing in Europe. I Was Born In Argentina, Descendent of Spanish and Italians, and I love countrys Like England, Peru, Paraguay, Switzerland, USA, Canada, Australia.... I`m a son of the world... I`m just a guy who never stole, never cheated, never killed, never even got into a fight.... so, guess I`m not a Spanish Pirate

  • @leiojpc my father fought in the Falklands, the islands are occupied by British citizens and we would all fight to the death for them and like my father did so. I have no problem with the Argentinian people, you think you can 'claim' the nearest island to you? If that was the case then Britain should claim Iceland? If you want it that badly you will have to fight for it and many countries have underestimated the British spirit to their peril. Back to the video, Maradona is the greatest!

  • @rvh3 Do you know who Charly Garcia is? or Fito Paez? or Spinetta?... of course you dont... but I know John Lennon, Eric Clapton and Thom Yorke... That`s couse we recieve information from all over the world... you only get the info your queen want`s you to get...

PS: Garcia, Paez and Spinneta, are Argentinian Rock stars by the way!

  • @rvh3 And Sorry for your dad... here we not only morn the deaths of the Argentinians who died in Malvinas, but the lifes of those who were kidnapped, tortured and killed douring that Militar Period, and the ones who killed themselfs out of maddness after the war. A Militar period supported by countries like England, USA, and all the countries that want South America Out of a Growth... it`s easy to invade them if they are weak, right?. I`ll give you a clue, next war, is gonna be for our water!

  • @leiojpc

    i dont see the link.

  • @leiojpc Most countries have some kind of shameful secret or another. Look at the way Argentina harbored Nazi war criminals responsible for the death and torture of millions, or the way opposition to Peronism was dealt with by murder, torture or imprisonment.

Let's not forget Argentina's shady colonial past and it's inherent relationship with Spanish colonialism under the Governorate of the Río de la Plata, which managed to displace and murder millions of innocent indigenous people.

  • @hombrerelents You`re right... it`s funny you answer that now... I was watchin Nixon/Frost yesterday... and the Watergate scandal it`s a kid`s party compared to things that happended and keep happening here in Argentina for the past 200 years specially... I`m not a Peronist, and what you say about nazis is understandable taking into consideration that Peron (like Nixon and Hitler) was a Militar... and As Groucho Marx said, "Military intelligence is a contradiction in terms" no matter where!!!!

  • @leiojpc Also without the British empire, many medicines would not be around today, we also helped the countries we ruled in many ways. Giving them railroads and other things.

  • @leiojpc Your jealous because your country has never done anything that has had an impact on the world.

  • @stuart556 I´m Sorry, but I dissagree... San Martin Gave Freedom not Only to Argentina, but also Chile and Peru. René Favaloro was the first surgeon to perform a coronary bypass surgery on a patient suffering from Coronary artery disease, a surgery that saves hundred of lifes a year, Diego Maradona sure did gave an impact... I insist, I admire British people, but I cant admire you... lucky to be born there, couse you´re too arrogant...

  • @leiojpc This country is a total shithole, i'd rather live in Argentina than in Britian at the moment. Want to swap?

  • @stuart556 I'd like to throw you out, you worthless chav. This is the greatest nation in the world. You know where the exit is if you don't like it. Take your dole card, your worthless existence and your unwashed self to Heathrow.

  • @swanboy2 surely you arent so blind to see that country is going down the shitter, its full of muslims and charvs. We're fucked.

  • @leiojpc argentina is a country founded on the death and murder of it indigenous people so dont be such a hypocrite

  • @leiojpc Argentina's ambitions in the war was mainly to prolong a struggling military dictatorship. THAT is why lots of people died. Most of them because their commanders sent them straight into death. Young conscripts who hadn't even heard of the islands they were dying for. I am happy my new home country, Argentina, which I love so much, is no longer a fascist state. Some respect for the veterans, the fallen and the disappeared, please.

  • @TheVagabond82 Well, It´s for the fallen and the disapeared that I try to search the truth in this hole thing. I Might be wrong, but so might be the British People who think that the Islands are Originally British Territory. Take a look at Your sons from the States, goin to a war that doesn´t belong to them, just for imperialism, now there´s a soldier video saying that they are not setting nobody free. That he´s ashamed of goin there. Their Goverment Lied to them...

  • @TheVagabond82 I Also Gotta Say thet I agree with you, of course, when you point that "Argentina's ambitions in the war was mainly to prolong a struggling military dictatorship", althought, it wasn´t Argentina, The Militars Lied to us too, just to stay in power... but was never the spirit of this Country that didn´t have that much wars comparing to the rest of the countrys in the world...

  • @leiojpc I'm English and I agree with you 100%. What happened with Iraq for example was shameful.

  • @leiojpc Argentina invaded the Falklands with 11,000 troops and lost badly against a much smaller British force that had to travel thousands of miles to get to it. The majority of the islanders are BRITISH, and it is a British territory.

You were the pirates trying to take a British island, just because it's near you does not make it yours, we should go take back Ireland then since its near us and say 'this is our territory now', no we shouldn't.

Get over it, you got raped :)

  • @leiojpc Argentina didn't exist when we took the Falklands, and we occupied it. It was in the great age of Empires, of course we did. Now, modern history we don't OWN the islands, they are under the protection of the United Kingdom, it has it's own government, we allow it freedom. It's a tiny rock in the middle of knowhere, why is it important to us? It was pure patriotism that we went to take it back,..not because it is vital for us.

  • @leiojpc England's ambitions? No, protecting an island that British citizens lived on from being invaded by Argentina.

  • @sleepycriminal Please... a guy who ends up its statement with an "Get over it, you got raped :)" talking about a war and the thousands of young kids who died on both sides for that unnecesary war, is not somebody I would be interested into having a conversation, I´m not gonna answer you so please stop talking @ me, I don´t care if you were born in England, Usa or Australia, you don´t fill the shoes

  • @leiojpc Unnecessary war? Yeah, your pathetic country thought they could attack Great Britain and get away with it, but got yes RAPED by our superior army. I will say raped because our soldiers trashed your pathetic army, and it's your own fault. I don't care how many Argies died, they did it to themselves, their own fault.

  • @sleepycriminal as I said, you don´t fill the Shoes.... I will not answer again couse you are not respectfull and you don´t diserve my time. Bye!

  • @leiojpc You are a scumbag Argentinian who should kiss my shoes after suffering such an embarrassing defeat at my countries hands.

  • @sleepycriminal

There are British Falklands veterans that would be ashamed to be associated with such views. It is one thing to be victorious in war, but it is another to insult the memory of the fallen.

Men died on both sides. If you make points like this, you actually insult your own nationality. If any Argentinian users read this, most British users would be ashamed of comments like this.

leiojpc - I suggest you read about Simon Weston's meeting with "the" Argintinian pilot.

  • @earlydoorsjones My grandfather fought in the falklands and he despises the Argies for what they did and would completely agree with my views. Especially when the Argentinian in question is making out we were in the wrong!

  • @earlydoorsjones Hey, I couldn`t find the Note you`re pointing... If you know if I can find it on the web, please share, for I´m interested.... Anyway, Though I´m 26 I have lived My Entired Life listening how Our own Militar Goverment At that Time Lied to us, and we bought it. They said they Went to The Islands to take what belong to us, but they did it, because if they had won, they would have stayed in power...

  • @earlydoorsjones Having said that, let me tell you that the Militar Process was not like Sadamm Hussain, It was not for religion, but it was for more and more power, it was a greedy process and we all Argentinians expect not to be repited. The Islands Are Vital the same way Irak is Vital for the Americans... Because of the Oil and the strategic point to comercialize or even War... As I said before, next War against Argentina would be for water... if 1st world countrys doesn`t buy the land first

  • @leiojpc Without natural resources, I do not think anyone would have such interest in the Falklands now. sleepycriminal holds a view that would be considered too emotive and lacking in any rational substance for the majority in the UK. Britain defeated the Argentinian army conclusively, but by using the expression "raped" he shames the British Forces more than the Argentinians. It is strange, I only came on this clip for football reasons. What a non-sense it has been taken over by war.

  • @sleepycriminal Comparing the defeat of an army, which obviously requires death on both sides, to forcibly inflicting a sexual assault on a person, is a metaphor few would sit comfortably with.

What sick need for humiliation does rape satisfy when people discuss war?

Can't an ego just be satisfied with "conclusive victory"?

I come from a military family: anyone who talks about grandfathers agreeing with a need to liken a military defeat with rape does not do anything to justify their point .

  • @earlydoorsjones Argentina's army was raped by our forces in every way. Completely destroyed them and they deserve to know that.

  • @sleepycriminal Are you in any of the British Armed Forces? If you are, expressing a military victory in such a way shames the very people you are trying to applaud.

There is primary and secondary historical evidence supporting a conclusion that the British Armed Forces defeated an inferior Argentinian contingent. It was an utterly conclusive victory. That is something that any historian could assess or discuss the reasons why.

I say again, why do you feel validated with the word "rape"?

  • @leiojpc We are in dialogue with a sensitive individual. A lot of anger over something he was not even alive to experience. There must be some reason sleepycriminal is touchy about this? Maybe he thinks he is being patriotic by bigging up the British. I will agree with anyone who said that the British defeated the Argentinian army conclusively because this is a historically accurate statement. I'm saddened that sleepycriminal needs to use the term "raped" when referring to the British Army

  • @earlydoorsjones I agree with you, for I´m not Saying That British Army Didn´t Defeated The Argentiean one, I´m saying that They Were Taken Before, And I Never Understood why you don´t ask yourselfs why you need this Island NOT to be from Argentina... They are Miles and miles away... how can you not be reazonable and dont buy what they seay to you... Let me add that I also came Here for football ... But I answered Someone and people kept stating " me, so I Kept Answering to be polite!

  • @leiojpc It is unfortunate that many people will use anything as an excuse to be verbally abusive and insulting. I have read many of your posts and you handle yourself with respect and decorum. It is coming up to the 25th anniversary of that "Hand of God" game. In Britain there will be a documentary about the match and those goals. like it when England play Argentina because it is always a big game with lots of passion.

I will see if I can find that Simon Weston interview for you.

  • @leiojpc we love you really Argentina

  • @0113L I´ve posted my first comment 8 months ago and I have 34 thumbs up for it. In Argentina we speak in Spanish but here I wrote everything in English, so those 34 thumbs Up are not Argentinians... I know you do and I know there is more people like us trying to make a better place than those who buys their Goverments Lies and Buys a War for fake Patriotism....

  • @leiojpc Yeah, its now 35 :)

  • @innit27 That's why the Argies surrendered in no time at all?

  • @innit27 are you fucking stupid , the argies surrendered , 649 killed 1,068 wounded

11,313 taken prisoner compared to 258 killed ,775 wounded ,115 taken prisoner . yeah ... we really got out arses kicked ...

  • @innit27 Its called respect and if he didn't show any you would probably be moaning at that now fuck off back to your hole.

  • i luv maradona. loved by evry scotland fan

  • At least pele doesnt cheat

  • omg its the walkers guy

  • lmfao.

  • It would't have been such a big thing if it wasn't against England ffs

  • Lineker is such a gentleman! What a lovely fellow!

  • Peter Shilton was trying to head the ball, and so Maradona showed the keeper how to use his hands!

  • best player ever and always will be

  • @machinehead5760

I can't tell if you are talking about Lineker or Maradona - and that's the point, I suppose.

You could be talking about Maradona for scoring the goal of the century, or about Lineker, for being the finest gentleman on the pitch.

  • @jamarsano yeah i jsut think he is highley slandered for the hand of god and his drugs, im english but youve got to think that this was maradona getting one over on shilton. The reason he commented on in other interviews is that England is one big power and crushed them in the falklands and this was argentina getting one over england

  • lol it was totally unfair and definitely not football and they still won. but hey, let's just call it 'the hand of god' and everything's fine...NOT

    lmao i love maradona

  • To be honest. I don't understand How can everybody still go on about it. whatever maradona did, whatever the score was I have to admit it did not change my life at all.Out of respect i would never say that Maradona is, because of that or he took drugs or whatever, a bad guy.

He Certainly was a great football player cheat or not cheat. and Gary is right!

The lines man should have had an eye on it. what you wanted maradona to do?

Goind around and say to the Ref. Hey mate! It was HAND! LOL LOL LOL

  • Hand of god was against the rules, full stop. doesnt matter who scored it, doesnt matter what the circumstances. Punching the ball in the goal is cheating. Anyway you whana look at it.

  • @Ridghost As is jumping like a grounded fish at the slightest touch (or sometimes without a touch) from an opposing player simply in order to gain an unfair advantage. And players do it every single damn game.

  • @Ridghost and stopping the ball from going to goal whit your hards is also against regulation it worked out for suarez tho

  • many people say:"ohh he cheated he cheated", maradona thought then :"Im going to give these people something to shut their mouths" and bam! the best goal ever!!! what any other prove you want? he can score however he wantS! diego best ever!!!

  • i respect lineker for saying that, players have always cheated in football and it is the referee's job to stop them. i know maradonna cheated, and it was horrible for england, but i reckon if it had been the other way round, and lineker had handballed, and we had gone and won our second world cup as a result, we would forgive him for it. that said i don't get the people who celebrate the hand of god as if it is a good thing, especially when maradonna did so many greater things with his feet!!

  • Yes, everyone would have done that though...

  • is just Maradona, the football player, he just used a litle help, like england that needed the USA and Chiles help to defeat a third world country en las islas malvinas, i beleive thats a litle worst than the hand of god, don't you think?, i mean a third world country u ugly teeth english losers. Maradona = futbol= Argentina, you guys just invented our sport, go drink some tea.

  • yeah 1UNICORNIOSOUTH there also just two colors black and white.... retard!

  • @luksterb What a Fucking loser you are!!.....of course the only retard around here is yourself. The fact that your country didn't produce a footballer with half of the Maradona's quality, it's not enough reason to get mad of envy. You better learn to appreciate the good things in life and stop displaying those TWATS little comments. I know your IQ doesn't help (I can see you don't get it) but,..... THAT'S YOUR FUCKING PROBLEM!!!..... deal with it you STUPIDIOT!!!

  • why not try your luck... anyone smart would've done it

  • England should learn to lay football than to speak something :D

    Germany - England 4-1 lol

    Maradona is god!

  • @janicar45 : really? atleast England scored 2 goals.. one was disallowed ... Argentina ur beloved Maradona's Argentina went home empty handed!!!

    sucker!!!

  • Playing fair isn't going to get you into the history books, winning will, and thats exactly what Maradona did here.

Great move by one of the best, if not the best players that ever played!

  • Gary Lineker is a true legend and gentleman.

To quote Wikipedia: "Despite his long career, Lineker was never cautioned by a referee for foul play (never once receiving a yellow or red card)."

  • @shonzilla

for a good reason: they made diving a bookable offence after he retired. He should have been sent off in 90 against cameroon...lineker was a cheat

  • @shonzilla

he did recive one yellow card in his 1 season in japan

but ober there football is very violent :L

  • I can't believe the people talking crap about Maradona. He was/is a genius. Look at what he has acomplished. And yes he had his down sides. Lets start with the drugs... He came from a bad neighborhood, and he didn't have anyone that helped him or anything. He got picked up by the mafia in italy. He didn't know beter! Give him a break. And yes he scored a goal with his hand,it might sound weird but i respect him for that: It proves that he wants to make his country proud! It was the refs fault.

  • Maradona is a fuck

  • @RyanTheLion825 :u are the fuck

  • @RyanTheLion825 Oh my god stop being so angry about it he's a good guy deep down, and he's over the drugs, and he likes the english! take a lesson from the freaking video, at these two guys who appear as life-long friends, and get rid of that anger man goodness gracious just enjoy his football! he's not asking you or anyone to love his hand of god goal! he knows what he did, its the past. you're in the past buddy, i mean, if LINEKER IS THERE, HAVING A GOOD TIME, I THINK YOU CAN LET GO

  • That second goal was absolutely spectacular.

  • 2010.the hand of god will look for another victim.deja vu

  • If a married, world class player cheats on his wife, it still doesn't make him any less world class. Similarly, Diego Maradona may have done drugs, but he is still the greatest footballer in history !

DESPITE HIS CHARACTER FAULTS, YOU CANNOT DENY HIS TALENT

  • arrogant

  • I don't blame Maradona. It's the ref's and linesman's fault.

If you were a striker and hand balled the ball and scored, you would instantly look at the ref and expect the free kick to be given... In this case the ref didn't give it - Therefore his fault.

I myself have scored a goal with my hand and I expect it not to be counted. I didn't do it to get a cheeky goal, I just did it because I thought 'Eh, what they heck, might aswell hand ball it because it's going out for a goal kick anyway'

  • @HelpForPS3 Free kick? It's a red card idiot.

  • @mcmatanmc ya mom ;)

  • Maradona was a footballing genius.....with genius comes serious mental problems. If England go out, I'm hoping Maradona leads Argentina to glory!!!!!!

  • i am sure maradona did the handshake with linekers hand with his LEFT hand.

  • @PrettyPiZZAface

    LOL... La sinestra

  • BBC pundits are a bit too soft and straight-laced.

  • come on be honest, if any one here can actually say that if they were in maradonnas position, and say that they wouldnt have a go at handballing it over the keeper.

  • The fact that we are all still arguing about this after 24 years and people who were not even born are up tight about it, shows what a legend he is. Love him or hate him!

Both goals are memorable for different reasons,

England could do with a little of his genius now.

  • Argentina had the game any way.

  • Maradona understands English?

  • @UnknownGenius01 Evidently

  • Everybody knows that Maradona wasn't Mother Teresa and the scandals with drugs, the goal with his hand against England in the world cup etc, etc, impossible to ignore it. There are two groups of people: The ones who respect him as a footballer because he brought with his genious renewed excitement to the game placing football in another level, and the ones who are interested in his antics, namely his " big" mistakes, his personal life, or even his nationality. I belong to the first group.

  • @1UNICORNIOSOUTH

Good post, man. Maradona was a phenomenal talent and any body would says otherwise is delusional or in denial or both. If a person can't be objective and separate the man from the player, then that person has instantly excluded himself from the conversation IMO.

A little aside, Mother Teresa wasn't "Mother Teresa". Read The Missionary Position by Christopher Hitchens.

  • @1UNICORNIOSOUTH he's just a dirty cheater nothing else

  • Agreed. Maradona, Gazza, Georgie Best, all consistent genious on the ball.

  • @badboy10ize messi has already surpassed best and gazza and is on his way to surpassing the great maradona. so the professionals keep saying.
