  • Does NOT get old!

  • My god, it's the Duke of Kent for the rescue...total idiots :D....my favourite comedy group of all time :D

  • then...

  • Icelandic honey week?! My life!

  • OK so let me get this right: this was John Cleese's first role in a 007 film, the two others being in The World Is Not Enough and Die Another Day, correct?

  • This parody on the 007 secret service flicks is brilliant; shame that the Pythons did not make something like The Life of Brian or the Holy Grail out of it, as they are usually better when they tell a whole story, one can see this as well at the Scotland-Alien-Wimbledon episode; but these short jests promise much but are all too soon over! But how can someone create a thing like a pantomime horse?

  • This is definetly one of my favourites LOL ;D

  • It's like my life!!!

  • Awesome!

  • What is the song called?

  • Thumbs up if you think Terry Gilliam should work on a James Bond title sequence...

  • Pantomime Princess Margaret...

  • I've always wondered what opening title is played in the "Pantomime Horse" sketch. Does anyone know what James Bond-like music is played?

  • @robske007 Beyond The Night by Peter Reno.

  • @GvRR2007 Thank you! I guess that's not downloadable anywhere? It's from the LP era. Benny Hill also used a lot of unknown music from De Wolfe catalogue.

  • @robske007 I tried uploading it, but my computer's slow.

  • That music will always make me think of The Spanish Inquisition :]

  • Edward VII, king Haakon of Norway... what could this mean? Should royalty only come up with such crazy ideas?

  • Ohh I could watch Monty Python all day... :D <3

  • This is one of the best skits ever. Pantomime horse riding a horse and the duke to the rescue.

  • any clips of the pantomime Princess Margaret?

  • pantomime horces racing on horses.this is ingenoius.lmao

  • wow.. this is as random as it gets! xD

  • Micheal Palin said that the front of the grey pantomine horse was the favourite character he ever played.

  • This is almost good enough for a real bond film opening. Great!

  • Hahaha! Those dudes are crazy! I laughed SO hard when i saw this the first time! :D Some people don't find it funny at all, but we all have a different sense of humor.

  • My favourite Python sketch ever..... I remember seeing this for the first time as a kid and laughing hysterically at the pantomime horse riding a bicycle, then seeing it riding a real horse. Who else would come up with a sketch as brilliant as this??

This one, the parrot sketch, and the spam sketch never get old

  • who's inside the horses? I know that Michael is one of the front parts.. not sure if it's the grey horse or the black horse. My guess is that Michael and Terry J are the front parts, and Graham and Eric the back parts...

  • The horse riding a horse being chased by a horse riding a horse is my friends mum. True story.

  • @pjoe1979 It may sound geeky, but I actually understand that in less than 5 minutes! 8)

  • I gotta find this whole episode again, that entire episode was one of the funniest they ever did, especially the ending with John Cleese as the pantomime horse doing announcements and shit while the others are getting beaten up lol

  • My fav Python sketch ever!!!! I laugh so much that i want to be sick! :D :D Fucking hillarious!!!!

  • It beats Horse Mustard.

  • One of my favourite python sketches along with Ken Russell's Gardening Club which also has the pantomine goose in it. You can't beat a sketch with a pantomine character in it.

  • Oh, Monty Python, you make me so BLEEDING happy!

  • "Why, goodness me! It's the Duke of Kent to the rescue!" One of the best lines in this skit.

  • only python could come up with such genius

  • indeed! gotta love them!

  • I once saw a pantomime cow that cried and squirted water out of its eyes in Jack and The Beanstalk. Well I lol'd.

  • Pantomime Princess Margret! Lol that is just epic!

What weirdo ever thought up the pantomime horse in the first place? He must have had something funny to drink!

  • This has got to be one of my favorite sketches. Seeing the pantomime horses on the bicycles and on the real horses... HILARIOUS!

    Thanks for posting. :)

  • I love the opening cartoon--it's a very good copy of a James Bond opening, and is a lot like the Python's own "The Bishop".

  • What is Graham Chapman holding and what's the thing he's wearing as a hat??? I mean the 'then' moment (1:03) ^^

  • i think its some sort of pool/ beach inflatable animal.

  • "THEN" ....hahahaha ...

  • XD This is soooo funny...then again, I find Pantomime horses funny to begin with...I love the credits!

  • "Based on an idea by Edward VII." LOL.

  • the best part is at 1:50

  • The whole sketch is BLEEDIN' Genious!!!XD

  • This is definitly one of my favourite Monty Python sketches ever! The tandem bike part is genious!!!

  • "produced by.. King Haakon Of Norway" Haha.. I'm from Norway xD

This was so funny! A horse riding a horse! Brilliant xD

  • oh pantomime horse...I'm so BLEEDIN' happy....

  • It's the Duke of Kent to the rescue!

  • A horse riding a horse! Fucking genius!!!

  • The whole pantomimehorsething itself is so damn funny!

  • Best Monty Python sketch ever....

  • I love this. :)
