  • thank you for posting the video. would you trade a box of those shavings for a glow in the dark borosilicate glass marble? i got a small art project in mind.

  • mortal kombat end move theme lol

  • very nice!!!!!!! Great job!!

  • I LOVE IT !

  • Thanks for sharing and for a very clear demonstration!! I have been thinking about how to make red lenses for custom motorcycle taillights, now I know!

  • Love this video! I'm doing some jewelry making with formed acrylic and this was most helpful. Thank you for sharing!!

  • Awesome job! An artist with a lathe can't be too bad.

  • you say you can heat these things with a propane torch too? I have only ever burned my plexi that way - what is your secret? indirect heat?

  • I love simple and cool little projects like that. I did want to mention that the dust from cutting acrylic is harmful, and the fumes from burning it are toxic. Anyone attempting this should wear a particle mask for cutting, and a respirator for cooking it. You won't keel over on the spot if you don't, but it adds up.

  • Have you ever tried vacuum forming?

  • @zeusvalentine I've done some Vacuum forming. It works well when you want a smooth shape with both concave and convex areas. For these lenses this method works great and give it a real organic feel.

  • @LostMachine Seriously interesting video guy, thanks, I like the art work too.
