I've also found that my non-LDS friends when talking about religion will cite Paul and his teachings and totally ignore the teachings of Jesus. Both Dan Peterson and the other gentlemen in this video are generalizing the Bible vs. BoM video. But they don't give any specific examples of where the video is in error and specific arguments against them.
You can summarize this response by saying "They're wrong, they're anti-mormon and they don't know what they're talking about". That's a problem b/c again, this video isn't addressing specific claims.

I was under the impression that this had been abandoned a long time ago. Actually, one of my Mormon friends confirmed this. Even so, this was only applicable to Mormon missionaries during their mission, was it not?

The the "Book of Mormon Challenge" is alive and well. It is the reason why so many convert to the Church. All recieve the same witness through the spirit.
