  • Nikolai was the werner Klemperer of wrestling Ol' Klink never wanted his nazi schemes to work

  • True class act!

  • Thumbs up for Double Double E

  • I hope John Goodman plays Nikolais role in the movie.

  • What a great soul! Too bad he had to play this communist villain, but near the end of his career, they allowed him to be a warm character. Thanks Josip!!! You are definitely Hall of Fame material...not like Koko B Ware!!

  • His accent is priceless!! haha 1 last time!! All rise and respect the singing of the Soviet national anthem by Nikolai Volkoff!! LOL

  • The Iron Sheik should have inducted Nikolai Volkoff.

  • Nikolai has one of the best Opera voices ever!

  • Has anybody ever seen Volkoff get busted open in the WWF?

  • yeah I have a lot of respect for him for taking that much pure hatred for so long. An anti-America Russian (/Iranian) tag team in the 80s was much more serious territory than a heel who was just a bit arrogant and mouthy or something

  • I must have been hard to play the heel in wrestling. Those guys took a lot of abuse from fans and I mean some seriously bad stuff. I remember Lemmy Kilmister from Motorhead doing an article in a rock magazine about fan abuse. Lemmy was hit with a sharpened coin at a concert and he ended up with an infection that nearly cost him his hand. Imagine getting hit in the eye with that. Really brave to be hidden in the crowd eh? I saw Les Claypool of Primus get hit with a water bottle in Toronto.

  • The "M" was for Moscow, by the way.... She doesn't have to be from Yugoslavia to know what was going on. She traveled extensively and did business with all of thise countries. Yes, she knows what she is talking about...

  • @Landotter1 Techniclly, yes, Yugo was not "soviet" That's not my argument. I'm saying it was under the control of moscow. All the socalist countries were, in one form or another so "off the books" it was soviet

  • Who controled the soviet union and socialist countried doring that time??? Starts with an "M"

  • i can only give one thumbs up...

  • Vince McMahon doesn't like communism... what a surprise.

  • Nikolai Volkoff sucked in Ted Dibiase's Million Dollar Corporation.

  • Josip "Bepo" Peruzovic, from the Independent State of Croatia (Nezavisna Drzava Hrvatska). When in doubt, knock 'em out!

  • Every time I hear "WWE" or "Superstar" I want to vomit. It's "WWF" and "Professional Wrestler".

  • so basicly he was a traitor to his true country

  • @sumoshinobi No he hated communism, he left because he hated communism but he loved his own country and his people.

  • @sumoshinobi He was a traitor to the Soviet Union, not his country. There is a difference.

  • @Landotter1 hahah moron not the soviet union

    its yugoslavia

  • @sumoshinobi Oh, and you are so smart... Soviet and socialist were ran in much the same way. One had to defect or escape. The borders were not free, come-and-go, like the rest of Europe, and you call me a moron,,,, (insert annoying game show buzzer here)

  • @Landotter1 hahaha actuallly yugoslavia was one of the few country's in the world where you could travel to any land and had a great economy

  • @sumoshinobi I'd have to ask the wife on that one,,, she's russian and former soviet union resident.

  • @Landotter1 don't bother i'm right

  • @sumoshinobi Really couldn't give a fuck if you are or aren't right... later

  • @Landotter1 so why did you try to prove me wrong

  • @sumoshinobi Well first of all, i see people who behave like you, all the time, on youtube. Go around thinking they know everything and calling people stipid, moron, etc. just to get into some debate or arguemant. Seeing that, I decided to leave the conversation but I guess you don't know what "later" means. I did ask and you are only partially right. If you want to be a rational person and debate or just talk about something, next time try being a little more polite to start with.

  • @Landotter1 Why I should have to try to teach yuou a simple life lesson, is beyond me but.... to each his own... now, again.... L A T E R slow enough for ya?

  • @Landotter1 u just mad i beat you

  • @sumoshinobi naaaah I'm mad because I bothered to replly to uou to begin with....

  • @Landotter1 dude you failed hard you said soviet union you didn't know it was actually yugoslavia then you said it was a county similair to the soviet union

while yugoslavia had a great economy and you could travel everywhere unlike in the soviet union

  • @sumoshinobi You can't beat someone without proving them wrong, which you haven't. you have had nothing intelligent to say. NOTHING at all, because you HAVE nothing... Beat me. I didn't know this was acompetition... There is no competition. I got no one to compete with....

  • @Landotter1 dude everything i have stated are 100% proven facts so you fail

  • @sumoshinobi keep trying.... it don't fly man

  • @Landotter1 hahahhaahahahahahahahahaha you lose dude give up you didn't know what you where talking about and i proven my point by stating facts and now you just won't admit it

  • @sumoshinobi not even close. I think I will believe my wife, who was an international trading economist during Soviet times as opposed to some stranger who thinks they know everything and still uses terms like "you fail" gimme a break man... You ain't got enough cake mix

  • @Landotter1 is your wife from yugoslavia ???? i don't think so there is a huge difference between yugoslavia and the soviet union

  • I'm 43 and Volkoff is a cool guy and had a good career but not a hall of famer - sorry.

  • The only thing I hate about these WWE Hall of Fame shows are the hecklers and cat calls it's so disrepectful and low-class it makes the people there sound like jughead simpletons. Save that stuff for a regular event not a Hall of Fame ceremony.

  • @theaterattendee So nicely put.

  • Nikolai Volkoff just seems like nice sweet man

  • I assume this was a couple years before Good Ol' JR came out to Boomer Sooner.

  • Is it me?? Or does Jim Ross' mouth barely move at all when he talks?lol

  • jim ross has bell's palsy that's why his mouth hardly moves when he talks

  • @GShiderHarryGreen he has bell's palsy he can't move most of his face

  • He was indeed a Mongol. He was Bippo Mongol and he and his partner held the tag team title.

  • awesome when i was a kid watching the WWF i hated him and the iron sheik, now they rule congradulations Nikolai

  • i thought he was 1 of the mongols in the 60s b4 he became volkoff...i at least believed he was...

  • i thought he was 1 of the monglos in the 60s b4 he became volkoff...i at least believed he was...

  • Volkoff could sing.

  • my idol yougoslavia <3

  • Beatiful man

  • So if they Ever Induct Angle...Iron Sheik Induct Him..I'm just saying

  • @thadarryl Yes, and he would say "Kurt Ango iz de champion new iron sheik end iz no gud moda fucka son of a bitch but ni jabroni like california blond faoggt hok hoga ptuuu!!!!"

  • Nikolai could have been used more. Him and the Sheik could have been champions again. Maybe even as the World champion. That would have made headlines.

  • @azariah15 A lot of guys in the 80's WWF roster cooda had a great run with the belt...but back then Vince's "philosophy" was to keep the belt on Hogan...it took Vince 20 years to realize that it's sometimes a good thing to "share the title"...

  • @rocksvids08 That philosophy was stupid. Many WWF stars had their talents wasted by not being used 100%. the 20 years it took him to realise that was too little, too late. Yes, Hogan was great, but he wouldn't last forever, so the title could have been shared. Even the sheik could have had a longer title reign.

  • @azariah15 I agree with you...we all missed out on many, many great rivalries that "could have been"...unfortunately, this is all left to our imagination now...Sheik was a transitional champ...at the time he won the belt, WWWFChampions usually had a run of at least 1 year (but Vince Jr. was taking over @ this point and EVERYTHING changed)...it was the end of an era, and the beggining of a new one...

  • work will win when wishing wont

  • I met Volkoff after a TV taping in Shreveport, what a nice guy, a giant teddy bear.

  • That is one man with a story worth telling.

  • JR has the gayest music ever

  • @pornpan96isGay is that the oklahoma sooners theme lol

  • I had The Wrestling Album released in 1985 on cassette. My mother hated wrestling but she liked Nikolai Volkoff's voice when he sang Cara Mia.

  • we love u nikolai volkoff :) <3

  • He could sing no joke.

  • You deserve it Nikolai! I live in Perú, and let me tell you are one of my childhood hero! Congratulations for all the happyness you gave to all your fans!

  • Bravo Nikolai, you deserve it my big Russian friend. I mean just look at that smile, so kind and sincere. Beautiful Introduction song as well. Nasdarov Rodina.

  • Volkoff along with the Iron Shiek were one of the best tag team combo's in WWF history.

  • A lot of folks left Communist Yugoslavia at the time....Croatian or not he was always one of my favorites....Ziveli!!!!

  • ya i know, but there were many others wrestling for a long time. doesnt make them hall of fame worthy. nikololai had no charisma, no wrestling ability and is just not a hall of famer

  • russia the best

  • the man
