  • For me, Sulu is not dangeruous place in the philippines. they are just figthing for their rights and there is only one solution, Give them FREEDOM!!! hindi hahantong sa ganyan kung binibigyan sila ng karapatan at pinagpapantay-pantay ang lahat.

  • Let them kill themselves, just don't let it spill to other places. these are not human.

  • @odca06 Eugenicist much?

  • ridu has nothing with terrorist! ...ridu is a culture! in some way used to justify misunderstanding!

  • What can you expect from a place occupied by warmonger retard muslims....

  • Automatics For The People!!!!!

  • one thing i'll tell u. .before we are born war in mindanao already started and lots of lives already have been taken and long before we are gone war in mindanao will rage on. .everybody knows that! Lots of moros educate their children the other way. .instead of pencil and pens on their hands they use guns. .

  • filipinos should know the war in mindanao is not about religious ideologies but muslim clan vs another muslim clan.

  • @july071992 it is called rido in philippines means blood feud

  • @12GaugeLosAngeles East L.A. is mickey mouse compared to these guys. They have everything from mortars, rocket launchers, bazookas, grenade launchers, land mines, Sniper weapons (AWPs), and heavy machine guns.

  • See shit like this that is why we have npa.mnlf.abusayaf ..I feel that pain for those innocent people that are just being killed for no reason wake up goverment

  • By the way, Colonel Karim who was featured in this clip, was killed in an ambush in May 2009 along with his brother and a few of his men.

  • The Philippines is so unfortunate to have people like these. These are Tausugs, a muslim people, who have always been warlike. They make good soldiers but that's about it. When they are not fighting outsiders, they're fighting among themselves. Ethnically the same as Christian Filipinos but culturally very different. Islam has reinforced the primitive instincts of these people that's why they're violent, poor & tribalistic - and as you can see from the comments here - muslims are proud of it.

  • @mixedgrain yes.. i remember that language. i remember the islands. they're right these people are lazy and just wanna fight sit all day stroking and cleaning their guns.... so what we did was clear their lands and planted trees, rubber mahogany.... until now they still stroke their guns all day sitting on their makeshift porch, still poor in the islands. they still have their guns

  • None of them can't stand white power with a philipean face. The police are sell outs. All officials(recognize by white power) work for European's interest. No way around it.

    BLACK PWR is the solution.

  • that nigga with her own army is on some real gangsta shit

  • sayang ung lugar.. mganda p nmn. tsk tsk

  • WE TAUSUG PEOPLE ARE THE BRAVE OF THE SOUTHERN PHILIPPINES WE BELIVE IN ONE SAYING THIS IS ITS BETTER TO DIE THAN TO RUN IN THE FIGHT !!!!

  • @MyKUREI I think Tausug culture is fascinating

  • what you said is true,to die in the batle field is gloriuos, muslims never surender, gudluck 2 all brothers of islam thier in mindanao

  • Modern vietnam

  • these people fight for PRINCIPLES.not let anyone distroy your PRINCIPLES.

  • In siasi every house has a gun...

  • "If the marines were here, you'd all be disarmed by now. That or they'd drop a bomb on you"

    LOL Ooraah!

  • maxado

  • al jazeera anti gun propaganda. meh.

  • ass-ass-i-nations lol 0:56

  • lol, it is funny

  • yeah... before anyone can actually say it is right or wrong.

  • man this happens only in the southern phils. there's no arsenal in every home here in Manila. The situation is only isolated in the southern Philippines.

  • No, even in manila and other places there are a lot of killings, thieves and robbers. Mga likas na scumbag ang mga Pilipino kaya kaming mga Chinese ay umaalis na dyan.

  • This statement is downright bigoted. Businessmen in mainland china felt no moral compunctions in the manufacturing and selling of milk that could have killed millions of babies around the world and yet there has been no mass scale condemnation of chinese businessmen as scumbags by nature. The communist party of china had no moral compunctions about shooting down protesters in the streets and yet I have not heard any protests from the filipino chinese community against the tiananmen massacre.

  • @mark - almost a million unlicensed guns in the Philippines. Plenty of shootings in Luzon.

Every 'middle class; and above household has private security and body guard AND stock of handguns and armalite. Name a gun and I have seen, including sub-machine guns and military grade weapons held by citizens.

Maybe it has something to do with penis size?

  • Wow talk about carrying an M60 on a nice Sunday afternoon! The Phil Law on guns... hehehe. In the main cities, getting a gun license is such a big deal and cost me a fortune to get another one for my 2nd pistol. And trying to get a license for long arms is almost impossible. Do they have a different law on guns where a police can do nothing but a hoax? I wanna know how much would they sell their M60 and M14s. The AR15 is about P100K. Maybe buying all of their arms will bring peace.

  • i love guns...i live in the philippines but im somewhere far from that area..in my place i bring my guns but our crime rate is so low we just use it for our protection...

  • The high crime is due to poverty not guns

  • Tang ina!!!

45 lang pala, my pa amircan2 pa sya!!

  • my heart hurts.

  • who is that lady telling what she is fighting for?? shit!!! she is an idiot and inutile.

  • katayin na kasi lahat yang mga yan

  • These so-called rebels are just a bunch of street thugs who have high powered guns in their hands. They can't give up their firearms either. For them power comes from behind a loaded gun.

  • I think I can suggest a logical solution to end the endless conflict on that island. Just encourage them to kill one another till one group emerge victorious. By that time, the winning group has likely been weakened as well, a good opportunity for the law to step in and arrest or kill the remaining people. Then the island could be repopulated through resettlement and turned into a tourist resort. As long as those who have experienced and lived through the gun culture remain, nothing will change.

  • You must be completely brain dead

  • So I guess you have a bright idea yet to be tested?

  • For the truth? LOL Jesus is the ONLY WAY! The Bible came first not the quran.

  • ignorant fundamentalist

  • lol or theyd drop a bmb on you lol

  • I SUPPORT MOA -AD & MINDANAO PEACE PROCESS!

    salaam

  • Cos this Muslims are greedy... Go to hell pigs.

  • This is the reason extreme poverty is prevalent in Mindanao, most in the whole country.

There will be no progress in a society where people are prone to violence because they consider their weapons the most important asset rather than tools for tilling to make their lands fertile.

UNLESS A STRICT GUN LAWS USING MARTIAL LAW TYPE OF POLICY IS IMPLEMENTED.. MURDERS OF VENGEANCE IS A COMMON CRIME.

ARMS DEALERS ENJOY THIS TYPE OF SOCIETY

  • banditry and gun culture is pervalent among muslim tribes in mindanao. add islamism as pretext to commit coercion and violence then you get the current situation. police action to break the gun culture is the only real solution.

  • God bless the phils!

  • let them kill each other. it is their way of life anyways.

  • You media people are idiots and bias. You dont understand other peoples culture. This people in mindanao is just local thugs nothing else.

  • If the Bangsamoros really want peace, the MILF existence is only a hindrance and undermine any peace process between the Bangsamoros and the Philippine government.

If they choose violence and fight for their own self governance rather than live in peace and integrate in a civilized society, justice will continue to be serve in the field of battles. There is no other solution but surrender so Mindanao will finally achieve it's true glory, the land of promise.

  • The division of our world are not a result of religion or of culture, but a pollitically base. There is an imbalance in the world and the power less are beginning challenge the hegemony of The great Powers. Declaring their independence of them - often using religious language to do so. A lot of what we call fundamentalism can often be seen as a religious of nationalism, an assertion of identity...

    salaam to all Humanity

  • war is always a lie,,, we have to be practical enough and understand the root cause.. we are the same people in this country.. if we can give peace give it whole heartedly give it a chance sign the moa lets see if it is the right answer we have nothing to lost and nothing to fear. only elite people have something to fear and lost... but for the truth and justice we have to be pure in dealing with the peace treaty,,,

    salaam

  • we can blame muslim extriminst but we have to dig deeper know that root cause. i did not say the abusayaff are right . but if we can only give peace a chance in one single blow and a genuine peace surely we can tell our child in generation to come that MOA is the key of a true peace in mindanao.salaam my dear fellow pilipinos.

muslim are not your enemy it is the corruption of the leader on this country. that they are fighting for give justice and you will earn justice to everyone.

    salaam

  • These people is the one dragging the phillipines down. This is Islamic law to clean the impurity by sword (genocide). I love to fight these guys to better end.

  • Clearly, the Philippine government doesn't have a grip in this part of the country if the law officers are outgunned by people in the community and conflicts are settled in a gun battle not in court. It will only become a better community if ALL will put away their fire arms, let only those who upheld the law in possession of them. Most of them just want to protect themselves with so many people owning firearms but this is also a good place for terrorist to recruit the Abusayaf members.

  • Abu sayyaf never kill civilian...they just help the goverment to killing corrupted

  • Abu Sayaf never killed any civilian???

    YOU ARE DEFINITELY INSANE

Abu Sayaf killed numerous civilians. you are just TOO STUPID to understand the news. if by any chance you have a lucid interval, with all your might listen to the news carefully and you would hear the reporter say "the Abu Sayaf has attacked another village causing numerous civilian casualties"

it surprised me that you are able to use the internet yet you cant understand the news

tonyshit80 is definitely full of SHIT

  • Are you sick...?

  • sick?????

the fact that Abu Sayaf killed numerous innocent civilians is very clear yet you cant even begin to comprehend it

the facts are right in front of your face yet you cant understand it. even a preschool student can understand this with ease

  • ABU SAYAF ARE CRIMINALS

Abu Sayaf had killed NUMEROUS INNOCENT CIVILIANS and its a FACT. I have numerous PROOFS to back my claim

PLUS they kidnap innocent people NUMEROUS CIVILIANS some of which died in their hands

MAN.... YOU ARE REALLY STUPID AND NAIVE!!!!!!! ONLY AN INSANE PERSON WILL THINK THAT ABU SAYAF ARE INNOCENT REBELS

  • why dont this abusayaf fools kill corrupt leaders instead of innocent people . i just dont get it ... they keep killing the wrong people thats why they dont get any result . what an idiots

  • why can't we live in peace?

  • condolence to the late Sulu Provincial Police chief Senior Superintendent Julasiri Kasim, was killed today by suspected members of the bandit group Abu Sayaff.Kasim's team was conducting search operations in Maimbong town for Italian hostage Eugenio Vagni when the assault happened past 2 p.m. in Barangay Kulasi.KASIM was killed in line of duty as an officer enforcing the law and a true muslim brother and a Hero...Rest in Peace Bro.

  • Sulu was an independent and proud State ruled by Sultans long before the Philippines became a Republic. The Tausugs have gone far and wide and lived in Mindanao, Palawan, Visayas, Luzon, and even reached as far as Malaysia and China. Unfortunately, historians have distorted history. The invaders, Spanish, Americans, and Japanese also burned ancient and historical documents of Sulu. Now, only very little is known about the glorious past of the Sulu Sultanate.

  • Armed men or groups abound in Sulu. You get invited to a remote wedding, you bring your gun because that's part of your accessory like the rolex wristwatch or gold necklace. In fact, it is your most important accessory because everybody else would also be bringing their guns to the ocassion. It's the culture there. The gun has replaced the kris. And the more highpowered your gun, the more attention you get. That's Tausug!

  • I don't understand the prologue of this video referring to the Abu Sayaff when those in the video are not members of the Abu Sayaff, and whose bearing of arms is not intended to sow international terror.

  • The place is near the town of Jolo. The police chose the boat ride than travel by land because it's safer. Sulu is a dangerous and volatile place. If you don't own a gun, people don't respect you. The more guns you have, the more respect you get. Tausugs are fighters from birth. They are proud warriors whose culture considers bravery as a most valued virtue. Of course, they also want peace, but they need to fight for various reasons. In this case, it appears to be a political and land dispute.

  • Armed Civilians???

They are not civilians if they have guns in their arms.

  • nice guns, old stories. nobody can resolve these problems in Sulu. You know why? I don,t . hehehehe! But if this happens to be a peaceful place, It will be in the top ten tourist spots in the world for sure.

  • this is a power struggle, a quest for control and corruption. nothing more, nothing less. outlaws belong in jail. I have no problem with armed citizens but the leaders of these men are politicians hoping to make money from corruption

  • I noticed that the landscapes on this island are beautiful! As being a Filipino and a photographer, I would love to capture the beauty of my Motherland, as well as knowing the culture of people who lives there.

It's just sad to think that this war already causes thouhsands of lives, and devided a lot of Filipinos. I wish that someday it'll stop. God bless the Philippines...

  • MohummedsM8

I was hoping they would find some common ground and learn to get along, while at the same time that Jessica Alba chick can pull up infront of my house and we can get some sexy time.

  • yup, they are leftovers from the world war,,when i was a kid growing up in the philippines, my uncle used to test if the old guns still work properly by hugging a coconut tree and firing the gun at the opposit end, and if the barrel didn't backfire, its still usable,,but some times, it does and its quite an amazing sight seeing the damage done to the coconut tree.

  • 6:57 i want that gun

  • The problem isn't dificult to understand at all. Neither side thinks it has been defeated.

Pick a side and kick the shit out of the other.

Or let them be. Their is no other alternative.

  • stupid woman on the video, looks like she doenst know anything and wanted to be a politician, damn you.....wish that you will be shot with those guns,,,,

  • what a beautiful place but damnn to many guns

  • The whole wrold is at war one way or the other.(to me)

  • policemen can not do any only to backout...pag sulot2 kamo doun ayaw mag bunoh..

  • anu dialeq kayu? parang ang ganda pakingan. ilonggo ako kasi :D

    hehehe natakot yung pulis eh

  • American's are SO SELF OBSESSED!! When they say "public" they mean the American public - but they say it as if they are referring to the world. They have no understanding of how they are viewed by the world. Even a documentary maker like the one above seems to have no understanding of how his language alienates him from the rest of the world.

  • "Ruled by the Gun"? What happens? The weapon jumps off the table and votes? NO The OBJECT has nothing to do with behavior. You cannot legislate behavior by concentrating on inanimate objects and NOT people's behavior!

This verbiage avoids the issues of personal responsibility. Calling something "gun-violence" is misdirecting the issues.

It's politically safe to do so but calling the object responsible is misdirecting the focus of any discussion.

  • American trash (guns).

  • I know its a big call, and the small find it hard to stand up to the big. For every rocket they sell, a plane gets a better engine. Guns, or Greed rather have made life easier for all of us.

For the small man its knowing when to say no i wont buy that thing. Maybe we cant hit them at the rifle range, but can we hit them somewhere else. Dont work for them, dont buy products they make, dont shop with companies they own and so on.

  • im all for guns. and normally anti gun control. but in this case they should remove the weapons and trade them for simple ones/

  • Why dont we run around in circles while they sell the weapons. Hit it at the source, the people that make the money of the weapons. Not the people that are dying for them.

  • hahahaha i would like to see you get merked trying to use ur "bare hands" while these fools empty out a banana clip on your ass,and get ate like the aquamammal that you are

  • @aquamammal ill kill you with a molotov cocktail you wanker.
