from what i read most of you say that av3k played poor.. you re all poor. He was the only one who was able to play cypher at the same level. Cypher vs. Av3k on masters 2k8 was the best games of all. If av3k would train harder ( better aim) he would win.. gg

Cypher has an advantage that av3k was jumping down, but av3k still aims really good, so with a 60health advantage he should have got the frag imo. Av3k was unlucky that he hit shit, and that he missed the mega.
If he let him get mega, cypher would own him at ra, or av3k would let him have it an stay in a really big disadvantage.
Good chances for both, but av3k had a better one in this last one. Just unlucky imo.
@OMFGO av3k also had just died and had no weapons so with just a machine gun, falling down on someone with a lightning gun, that's always dumb and unnecessary unless the health advantage is so significant that you won't just put yourself in a hard spot by doing so.
@mvp69ddis ehm... 1, he had a lightning gun, you can clearly see that... he also picked up ya which you can hear. So he had about 110 life + 50 armor which is together 160, lightning gun. Cypher had 56 life + 59 armor, together 115. Av3k had 45 more life, but had to jump down and be easily hit while falling. Still, if I had to bet, before he jumped down I would say his chances of killing cypher would be at least like 40%.
@mvp69ddis If he let him have the mega, he would have like 10% chance of getting the next frag - cypher would have all weapons, all armors...it would take a long time to kill him, and probably a lot of tries. Since it would be overtime, all that would matter is the next frag. Had there been an overtime of 5 minutes and not sudden death, not going for the mega would be possible, but in this case av3k's choice was just fine.

what the hell are you talking about? strafing derived from vq3. what about all the maps with pads that are meant for strafing such as cos1_beta7b or bliss, they are designed solely for vq3 not cpm. if by strafing you mean running around the map continously without losing speed (making turns), yes, that is impossible in vq3.
He's got an aimbot, yet he does not have one loaded on the quake3.exe. That's how fucking good Cypher is.

Yeah poor play there by av3k. Usually high ground is a great advantage but with Cypher's LG being as good as it is that was a bad choice.

In my eyes av3k is the best FPS gamer in the world. He has had much more sucess than Cypher in Quake 4.

You can't strafe in Vanilla Quake 3 bunny hopping, there's practically no air control.

Strafeing doesnt mean air control, VQ3 strafeing is faster then air control strafeing but theres no air control so the movement is different

strafing is older than vq3. it was in q2 in essentially it's current form, and the advanced style bunnyhopping of quakeworld > strafejumping anyway.
