Hydraulic Fracturing use sand filled fluids which increases the permeability of the reservoir rock which holds the hydrocarbons. While many of the additives used can be harmful and considered "toxic" ,they are injected nearly 20,000ft below the earths surface and aquifers. These techniques are used on 90% of all oil and gas wells across the US and globally. Many watersheds in the west have these operations running frequently without any environmental problems. How is the delaware different?
