  • Her voice cracks at 0:32??

  • I'm jealous of anyone whose first experience with Lush was watching this performance - so beautiful and powerful.

  • Ha Ha Ha Ha ha hee ...

  • funny that after years of listening to others say "just you wait until you're *** old, then you'll see..."

that you finally grasp what they failed to say.

2009 or 1992 , anyone care to wish for one or t'other?

  • 2:06 = WIN

  • Emma is soooo smooth and calm. She was just as important as Mikki.

  • I fell in love with Lush the moment I heard this song.

  • Reminds me of great times in the 90's. I miss LUSH.

  • I will always, and forever, be in love with them.

  • I know I must have heard it back then in 1991 but I had forgotten it til Saturday. It's like the Smiths with a female. Check out "there is a light that never goes out" or "the boy with the thorn in his side." Anyone know if andy rourke played the bass or johnny marr the guitar on this one? PS- if you like this song but don't know the Smiths, go out and buy ALL of their stuff. Don't take the depressive words too seriously- Morrissey is/was a great wit and bass/guitar are alternative's best!

  • I've spent years playing Smiths albums before getting into Lush but for me those 2 bands had little in common musically. Miki and Emma weren't great fans of Morrissey and Marr as far as I know even though they probably have their records at home but they never quoted them in interviews.

  • I love when Emma steps back at 1:55 to do the lead. God that is so sexy.

  • there will always be a special place in my heart for this band!!!

their songs still give me goosebumps

  • Which talk show was this that actually had the good taste to invite Lush. Miki's voice sounds even more heavenly here than on the album version and the guitars sound great. <3 Lush <3

  • I saw lush in college- My first concert. I have about everything they ever put out and my old t-shirts that I had signed at The Variety Playhouse in Atlanta. Miki did not like the "Spooky" album so much-- liked the later ones better. She - and the other band members- didn't like what they did to the songs --- that made them virtually impossible to understand-- but if you listen to them long enough- you can understand the lyrics. I like the shoegazer sound though-- and "Spooky" is MY favorite

  • You have summed up exactly how I feel. You,my friend, have excellent taste.

  • I second both of you.

  • The vocals are live but the rest sounds pre-recorded. At times, the drums don't synch with what's being played.

  • I think the audio is just out of time.Whoever posted it screwed it up,but I'm still happy to have the video.

  • Nothing is pre-recorded in this ! It's ALL live - exactly the stuff they used to play on stage, with the very same equipment (for instance the famous Emma's GP 16).

  • I was lucky enough to meet them in New Orleans after the 92 lollapalooza show. Miki and Emma were so sweet. They signed a set list for me. The 90's were great times. Miss LUSH.

  • I sure miss them.

  • They sound great live. I wish I'd gotten around to seeing them in concert.

  • I like this song, but I have no idea what any of the lyrics are. Enunciate darling !!

  • Dennis Miller was an a-hole without a cause until he found Islam and became the Hidden White Imam

  • My all time favorite song. thanks for putting it on the air. Isnt mikki awsome!

  • This isn't on SNL, is it?

  • I believe this was on the Dennis Miller show (before Dennis Miller became a right-wing a-hole).

  • You mean before Dennis woke up and smelled reality? 3,000 folks instantly vaporized tends to make you get your shit straight and act like a serious grown-up -- that is, if you're non-insane. (There's no hope for some among us, I'm afraid.)

  • All I know is, he used to be known for calling Power on its sh*t, and now he's known for shilling for Power. Go figure.

  • I don't believe you, and I think you're confused. The political party that believes in MORE governmental control of people's lives is not the party Dennis is "shilling" for. Quite the opposite. Why don't you just admit that you'd like a dictatorship of leftist intellectuals to run the world?

  • I'd rather have undemocratic rule by intellectuals than undemocratic rule by Yanks.

  • Right. Intellectuals did that with communism and 100 million died.

  • Sadly the drummer or "dumbass" how you called it died...a little bit of respect of his dead can be appreciate it.

  • Ok. good song but the drummer looks like dumbass

  • Emma , babe , you don`t even know how I miss you my dear princess...

  • The notice on Miki's guitar (a very rare 12-strings ES-335) says : "OH NO close-up on guitar", because of her lack of confidence on her guitar playing at that time.

  • I think Emma looks really sexy in this video. When does that simple little lead i swear I get a @#$% on. Of course Miki's always fine.

  • I love this video, thanks Lushfan. I've been watching it many times. What always strucks me is how clever and humble they looked, especially Miki, look at her eyes. Who could resist ?

  • Miki is the sexiest wench since Cleopatra.

  • You every seen her on the music video? Asian girls are usually pretty I think.

  • A brilliant band cut short, before their time, by tragedy! Miki is working with someone else at the moment tho so lets hope we see more of her soon! Brilliant song as well! x

  • Really? I think this band should get back together. Early 90s rock and alternative rocks. So much better than the stuff on the radio today. I don't listen to any of it.

  • The drummer hanged himself and Miki is out of the music scene completely. Sadly, a reunion will never happen.

  • This is true. Chris hanged himself but they could still get a new drummer. The main writers were Miki and Emma. Emma does Sing Sing, but I'm sad that Miki doesn't do anything solo because she had such a nice voice, personality and looks to go with it.

  • Yeah, it really is sad. Emma and Miki just had that chemistry. Oh well, at least we had them for a while.

  • They were really good and it is a shame that they are not around today. The indie music scene in the early 90s really had something to it in my opinion. Music hasn't been the same. It is sad that Miki doesn't do her own music because I think she was really talented.

  • I agree in fact Ive started a "We Miss Miki" Campaign

    myspace com/mikiberenyi and a website

Miki is doing guest vocals very soon on Seinking Ships new album , so lets try and get her back !

  • Very cool. I got your request a couple of days ago. Thank for the request. I'll leave a comment. That would be so cool if she started playing again. I listen to them all the time. If you can find a copy get Topolino. It got some b-sides that are really just awesome. I love it as much as any of their other stuff.

  • Ive been looking for that everywhere!

  • You should go to ebay and they may have a copy. Some of the songs are on other b-sides. It's a favorite. Most of the tracks are even album worthy and that is why they probably released it.

  • Thank you, I will promote it.

  • Is there a guitar backing track ??

  • her voice kinda went out and she handled it like a champ. i love this song and this band.

  • Great song. Nice. Does anyone have anymore live clips, especially "Nothing Natural" and "Superblast"?

  • Dennis Miller.

  • looks like saturday night live to me, or maybe something like letterman or conan. NICE.

  • Great song, good live performance. Emma has this nice early 90's indie-girl look, very cute.

  • My fav and beautiful song by Lush; thanx for the post; glad to find this one

  • Great clip. More, please! Was this Stateside?
