I custom built one AK (out of Saiga) and 2 ARs (One SBR). I shoot a lot. Not just my guns. In my deeply rooted opinion based on real shooting experience: While AR is a fun weapon, it is, in its original, most common direct gas impingement config., is simpy not a true main infantry rifle. It simply cannot maintain sustained fire. It's in the manual. Read it yourself. Not only direct gas system introduces carbon and debris into the action, more importantly it introduces heat. Rounds cook off.

As in KABOOM!!! The gas tube gets red hot. Try shooting bullets with lead nose/tips. See how long your AR will last before it turns into a single action rifle due to blockage of the gas tube. No such problem with AK, or any other gas operated piston rifle. And there is no bold handle/lever as such. There is a buffer spring loaded "carging handle", awkward to use and unreliable. If there is even small amount of carbon build up (and lube gets burned real fast in AR),

or dust, bolt might close. This is why rifle is equipped with "forward assist". This is truly laughable. Basically AR/M16 "shits where it eats". I cannot believe it was adopted as all-around main infantry rifle, replacing such a good rifle as M14. This can only be explained by Colt lobbying.

I can think of plenty of times where both sides used the same rifles. In the Falklands, both sides used FAL's variants. In the Winter War, both sides used the Mosin Nagant. The Soviet Union did not use the AK-47 by the time they entered the conflict of the Soviet Afghan War. They used the AK-74. It's a very good video you made, but it's just some of your facts are off.

The Russian civil War was already over for 15 years by 1938! Kalashnikov joined right before WW2 started, which was in 1939. I don't think the AK-47 saw any combat in the Korean War. The USSR did not give any other country production rights to produce it until the mid 1950's. The AK-47 first saw combat in the Hungarian Uprising in Budapest in 1956. The US army got captured examples at the same time.

Thats all due to how the naming and wording came to be. A rifle gets its name from the rifling of the barrel. Most firearms are rifled, but we dont call them rifles.

In serbian its called a pushka, probably derived from "to smoke, or smoking".

So the AK is not a rifle, its an assault rifle hence why you dont call it whatever you call rifles.

The AK-47 is the greatest gun ever created...

It's really pathetic to know that the U.S. or any western European country hasn't come up with a better gun considering having sixty two years of time in the field of technological advancements to work with. The AK is the best because of its simplistic design which makes the weapon easy to produce and very VERY durable in any environment. The m16 is a piece of shit compared to the AK-47. It's one of the reasons we lost the Vietnam war...........

The only thing the AK still has going for it are cheap price and reliability. Modern assault rifles outclass it in terms of weight and effective range to a high degree AND are often quite close in terms of reliability. Take a G36 or HK416. Accurracy of a M16, reliability rivalling an AK and it is lighter than the latter one.

AK74M is the same acurate as western riffles and it is also more reliable, While AK107 surpasses any western riffle in terms of acuracy

The AK having more stopping power is an urban myth. In fact, both 7.62x39 and 5.56 pack almost equal amounts of energy,with the 5.56 often leaving even bigger wound caverties.

And easier to use? No. Just no. You can use a M16 just aswell as an AK after a short introduction. After that, it'straining. And, of course,even that owuld only benefit people using illiterate morons as their mainline troops.

The AK74 is still not nearly as accurate as western rifles, as has been shown time and again. The smae goes for the Ak107. And they're still heavier. So there, the AK might have been a superb weapon in it's time,but by now, it's obsolete by a few decades. No wonder only poor shitholes and the russians themselves tend to use it.

yes, it is. in the middle east the FAL proved itself as an unreliable, assault riffle. It can never be compared with an AK47 (or later verions) in terms of reliablity. Both rounds are 7.62

The FAL being unreliable is an outright lie,  nothing else. The Israelis sure as hell didn't regard it as unreliable when they used it to kick the asses of AK-armed arabs.

It also isn't an assualt, but an automatic rifle, The Ak is 7.62x39mm. The Fal is 7.62.51mm. That's the differrence between an intermediate caliber and a full-size rifle bullet. Hence the FAL packs way more punch and a far higher effective range.
