Whenever I listen this song it's make me feel that I read the book of St.Exupery,Little Prince.Soo beautiful. Hey gidi Hadjidakis ruhun sad, kabrin bad, ceddin abad olsun.
@Ninitos1 It's an expression in Turkish."Hey Gidi someone,something,someplace... may decribe your longing,sympathy,admiration,respect,remembrance,memory....Basicly it has a possitive meaning. Greetings from Istanbul.
@Ninitos1 Actualy this divine city has been named by numbers of different nations not just by Greeks and Turks. Vikings say Miklagrad,Armenians say Nor Hromm,Slavs say Tsargrad,Russians say Zavegrod,Assyrians say Yankovice,Jewish say Vizendonye,Tartars say Sakalye... Romanias,Polish,Serbs,Magyars,Arabs,Caucasian,Mongols,Kurds,Persians,Finnish people...they all have a different name for Istanbul-Konstantinopolis.
@Sevdaliserseris the cititzens of a city give identity and name to it, so, as painful it might be for romantic Greeks, your city has been literally Istanbul the last 90 years, Constantinople as a name died with the cosmopolitan air that used to embrace the "City". When i visisted your city 2 years ago i realised that Constantinople is nothing more but a memory to Greeks and Europe. So now it is just Istanbul. 15million peole from anatolia say so, and so it is.
@romiosuni1977 ...therefore our Archaelogists have been banned to make an Archaelogical surface resarches and excavations till todays.Simply they hate to see relics from K.Polis. Anyway it wasn't my intention to insult Greeks with my consciously manupulated and illusional claim about Voltaire,Hugo and Greek ID-Civilisation connection. It was a trap to other Greek fellow to respond his irrational claim with an other irrational claim.I just wanted to put him in my shoes and obviously I failed.Peace
@Ninitos1 ...and please do not come up with a respond indicating that Konstantinoplis is the real one.Just in Turkish Istanbul has more than 20 different name meaning ;City of Joy,City of happiness,Nightingale nest.,city full of Islam...etc
I know it means you a lot but you can not imagine how much Istanbul means to us. Basicly it's an another "is it Turkish or Greek coffe " issue.
@Sevdaliserseris first of all i didnt think any of this but since it has many names why not call it Konstantinoupolis then? ;) Second...instanbul has greek roots itself(the word)...anyway no argument here....and i drink brazilian coffee btw.Sure it means a lot to you,you couldnt create anything like that ever :) peace out.
@Ninitos1 :)))) lol. I thought I was talking to a real Greek not to a sarkastic and mythoman French wannabee. Keep on reading those illusional,si-fi junks of Voltaire,Delacroix,Hugo... who gave to Greek speakers an idindity and a civilisation.
Btw till 1920 official name of Istanbul was Konstantiniyye but senate of that time decide to change with unoffical but popular one ; Istanbul.
I see no harm to call it Konstantinopolis. It just give you a pleasant nostalgia feelings.Peace always re file.
@Sevdaliserseris You not having problem calling it that way is something for me then :) Second, let me know better for my identity and country and civilization...(lmao at civilisation btw...no,both actually) I dont understand why Turks Fyrom etc.are tryng to prove that Greece has NOTHING as a legacy,it must hurt you so much, our influence is so great you cant fuckin bear it...TAKE IT all then, the name of Macedonia, call us people with no identity,no education,no civilisation....it's just hilarious.
@Ninitos1 :)) ha haaa... I got you. Think about what is the difference with these two phrases: " Turks couldn't create anything like that ever" and "Greek speakers have been entitled with an idinty and civilisation by French scholars".No difference. Now ,who do you think can't fuckin bear the reality and not giving the credit to the opponent? Me or you ?
...and your lesson is : " If you tell anything you want , you hear something you don't want." Seneca
@Sevdaliserseris all of a sudden you turned hostile? Funny. I dont see no relation between those phrases, you r being imaginary and making things up.Sure Turks couldn't create shit and that goes for other nations as well, dont take it personally.I give credit to other nations now and Greece is full of shit yeah but you must seek the reasons for that if u want the truth and not say shit like we dont have identity...get real.
@Ninitos1 "If u want peace prepare for war" Criticism is not hostility and I didn't intent to be hostile at all.U got it wrong.Saying "Turks couldn't create shit" and "Greeks have no legacy" are both baseless claims.U can still believe what u have been thaught and I would respect it though but I would just feel sorry to see a modern time human prisoned their mind with biased, irrational and racist ideas. My intention was to show u how absurd your very first claim was...Pls take it all personal.
@Sevdaliserseris its funny how what i believe(which i have been taught) is wrong while what you have been taught and believe is right....that explains a lot...and then I am the imprisoned in mind....anyway we agree that we disagree....you didnt show anything to me,be sure of that. All taken personally ....(hostility? ;) ) I will ignore you from now on,you can have the last word, dont really matter to me and we are indeed wasting time on youtube while we could study what we have not been taught ;)
@Ninitos1 my friend if you visit Constantinople then you will realise just like me that nowadays it is only Istanbul. Fener (fanari), Prince islands (Prigkiponnisa) and Aghia Sophia are just a drop in a turkish sea of 15 million who live in a city 3 times the size of Athens and suburbs. So there is absolutely no topic to argue about its name with our turkish friend. Greetings from another GreeK.
@romiosuni1977 Hey,thanks for the comment. Argument was not about whether it is K.polis or Istanbul( which is also Greek btw). It is both.Even though there was not one single pebble remained from K.Polis this would not be a reason for not calling this city K.Polis.Cause basicly it is K.Polis and whoever do not like it can't change this but force for it like Tyrans.U right unfortunately there is not much left from K.Polis on surface and our politicians are scare to see those under the ground.

This comment has received too many negative votesshow

This is the story of foolish Prince Bass Fiddle and wise Jerry Kemal.
As you remember, last time, the Prince was found without a dime on the Ponce Valdez while Jerry
watched from a tree...
In the land of Ali Baba near the Sea of Bab-alee,
Lived a man who played the zither with a pronoun on his knee.... See more
He would dance among the fuzzy trees and bring the birds to life
davelis13 2 years ago 66
And his name was Prince Bass Fiddle and he loved his ugly wife.
He would sing the songs of Lutvee in his very special way
And he puffed tea with his lumpy head and sleep all night and day.
With his turban and his leicester faced the thieves of Germany
But beware great Prince Bass Fiddle, you&;ll be hanging from a tree.
Fifty days and nights they waited for a sign from old Ratan
To pretend to wear the colours of the Emperor Charlie Chan.
davelis13 2 years ago 39
So they strolled into the forest with a song and energy
To find bay leaves in the cauldron of the mad witch Betty Lee.
Came the answer from a leaf top that was found upon the ground
"Only time and Prince Bass Fiddle will repair your bellies round.
Search the highlands search the lowlands, cruise the Sea of Bab-alee,
But remember that your children need the food from filigree."
Then one day in Abalone came a messenger to say
davelis13 2 years ago 15
That onion-head Bass Fiddle broke in half no more to play.
Will we lose our land of Lutvee to the bearded men of Cleaves?
Only miracles can save us and some tricks inside our sleeves.
From the sky there was an answer to the question of the plebes
"You will meet a tall dark stranger wearing black and blue cannives.
Who is Lucy, who is Nestor? We should only be there now.
Why its Aphrodite Milton and his keeper Prince Kemal.
Goodnight Kemal, this World will never change...
