oh thanks for posting this and bring back some great memories that seam to have been a life time ago of a night I sat with friend and drank great micro brews and got to listen to a GREAT BAND sing there hearts out for us . that smallish pub room was packed and we made the rafters ring with claping and a couple of sing alongs that ended the night this was one of the last songs they gave us that night what a group
@mandarinlearner I'm sure you do. Although they still play as a duo, it can't be the same without Tom. I never got to see them at all. Now we know how some got through school...hmmm..... at least with GOOD MUSIC! Thanks for your comment & I'm sorry it's taken me this long to find it! My very best to you, Moppet
@ThisMachineKillsReds That's the spirit! (I do too, sometimes & really get into it. I get some funny looks at the red lights.) Come back for a listen whenever you wish... You are always welcome! Moppet (Barbara)
This song's a real toe-tapper. And it doesn't take long before you're able to sing along with it.
This particular reccording comes from the CD release rather than the cassette, which is apparent due to the fact that we never hear Chuck say "Thank you to the late Stan Rogers" at the end.
@Garrettk41 I know Stan wrote this because he wanted a good song, and all the others got to sing theirs first. I think he hit a "grand slam home run" with this song. I haven't heard the cassette. Thanks for the comment. It was a nice tribute to Stan with the "thank you". The poor guy in the song should have just been on the other side...the captured soldiers got out first and the privateers were the last to be released. Thanks again. I love your info!
@HeathBarProductions So glad to add to the memories. We who didn't know Tom are thankful he had the energy, love of music, and drive to help get this group going. I miss him and didn't even know him. If you saw them often, it must be very difficult. I get to 'know' the people I follow, as much as you can, but the music brings us all together and it feels like family. Thank you for listening and commenting. I appreciate it.
@Les5J You're lucky. I'd love to see them. Thanks for the comment. I keep checking to see if they will be any where close at all...I don't think they will. Midwest, US. Enjoy the pub on me next time. :)
damn sweet tune

I was one of the "Barstan's Bums" in Orono in the early 80's. These guys were my sanity while in anesthesia school up there....dearly miss them.
